Character Inspiration

I only remember the original X-Men cartoon. Perhaps I'm older than I thought.

If you want to watch X-men evolution they have it on the marvel website (along with the old 90's cartoon of X-men and spider-man). Basically imagine the X-men if they were all teenagers...minus wolverine, I guess. He is younger, but not that young. Personally, I enjoyed Wolverine and the X-men much more, even if they messed up Cyclops' personality to all hell.

Not all of the characters were age regressed. Wolverine and sabretooth were both adults. So were Magneto and Xavier, as well as Beast. (I liked Beast.) Probably a few others that I can't remember. Oh yeah, Mystique.

I couldn't tell you off the top of my head. I wasn't a fan to be honest. if it isn't the main stream continuity (616), I don't know a whole lot about it.

I guess you could say that both of my characters are based on myself. As in SOME of the personality traits and in the names. Makes it alot easier for me to jump into my character's shoes.

Railbird is basically my alter ego. Rayce Ramirez is a name i actually go by and much of the personality, minus the rage and villainous tendencies, are similar to how i am.

Tanc is basically me when ive been drinking lol. I actually sort of came up with the idea when i was drunk so...

Eh Amp is like a Punk rock Hulk, Idk next to Iron man Hulk was my favorite. Mostly because he was a bad ass that smacked people around like little bitches. HO WHERE BE MY MONEY RAWR.

Nightmare was actually a Idea I thought up when I ate bad pizza and had a hallucination...IT WAS AWESOME.

And Damian Grey...League of extraordinary gentlemen. Dorian Grey if you didn't catch it.

I suppose I should go into more detail in where my character's came from:

Slamfist - I've had Slamfist in my head since 7th grade, roughly 8 years. Kinda just came up with him whilst playing around with Viva outside, where he came up with the now dead character Apex.

Overmind - Developed shortly after Slamfist, back then he was Mindmage, being a psychic and a user of black magic. I toned him down to just a really powerful psychic to balance him out some and dropped the mage part, shortly after he became Overmind.

Teiji - I really wanted a renegade for the site and started developing an assassin with a strange sense of honor. I was also really into Ronin Warriors at the time(nostalgiaing everywhere) and used my favorite character for his pic. Later switched to Mitsurugi because I felt it fit better what I wanted.

Shamgarel - I was really into angels when i made him. Like really into them. I would wikipedia angels all the time, reading about their name origins, where they were mentioned in literature(did this for demons too but I felt I could RP an Angel better). Finally I decided to make an angel but I didn't want to use a name of an actual angel, so I looked up what the old Hebrew word for sword was and Shamgarel came to be the Sword of God(literally and nominally).

Mosh - Silly idea gone too far. When he was first thought up he was bald and in his mid-thirties. I like him better this way.

Gregor - Gregor is based off of a character on a deleted site. There he belonged to a company that dealt with ways to kill lycans and vampires in a technologically sound way.

Malady - Once again, not really sure, I know Vergil wasn't my inspiration despite him being his face.

Amable - The Meek needed more members and I'd had the idea bouncing around in my head for awhile. Wolfwood's cross helped solidify him as the face of Amable Chevalier.

Tyr - Dissidia. Fireon is my favorite character, wanted to find a way to use him. Norse mythology was my outlit to do so.

Red Wolf is a character I've had in my head since I was a tiny child, and even though her secret identities have changed over the years, the basic principle of a shapeshifter who can only turn into a red wolf has stayed the same.

Punk Rocket's a new one. It's basically, "What if Lady Gaga was a supervillain?"

Kabel is one part of a concept that I've always had in my head for as long as I can remember, that of a Duality, two opposites converged into one. He is the most basic of all, of pure light and darkness. ((And everyone that plays Magic with me knows that that carries with me in most things, in my weird Blue/Green , Red/Blue, and other silly decks.))

Kezia... I don't really know. Probably from personal experiences from an old church and watching Boondook Saints... some old lore from assorted fantasy games and an MnM series. Picture from Dungeon Fighter Online, weapon not as much as you would think.

Audio was pure mindpower, based on a silly idea took too far as far as I remember.

And my next one that only a few know about, it's a mix of ideas I had leftover from Kabel, my own personal namesake's character story that I've spent years on, the SCP Foundation, mental illnesses I have and have not, a basic bastardization of every character I own. Oh, and DDO again, more than just a picture this time. Myself a little as well.

Daark originally comes from a final fantasy kind of world as seen in a book I once wrote. The thinking behind the version of the character who is on this board is that he is a final fantasy character stuck in the real world and all the insanity that goes behind that....
