Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

Questing Limitations

Questing Limitations
Right now, it seems like doing anything besides quest was useless since there was limit to how many quests you can do, and no limit to how many quests you can be in. So now I'm proposing a limitation for quests.
My suggestion: Everyone is in-titled to one quest, then after that you must complete 100 posts, after you have posted 100 times you can do another quest. Posts made during quests are not added up towards your next quest . So you can not just do really long quest.
(However I don't know how this idea would work out for people with more than one character, so I will leave that up to the admins to work out.)

Re: Questing Limitations
There hasn't been any cases of quest abuse, limiting now is pointless.

Better to have effective rules than not.

Re: Questing Limitations
If I have any weight against? That makes us even? Or will you remain you dictatorship ways and implement it anyhow?
EDIT: If this is the case I have no say in the matter and thus I should not even be a mod if my opinion does not count.

Re: Questing Limitations
I agree. There's no "quest abuse" going on, and quests already require approval. So, there already is limitations on quests. I believe admin approval is a better limit than some kind of "so-many post limit." It's also easier on everyone than trying to keep up with number of posts and such for every individual member.
and I mean, do we really have enough activity here to start making rules that limit members' roleplaying options?

Re: Questing Limitations
Might I remind you of the system before the PG where you gained power through posting? That was a bit of bullshit from the OOC posting Vs IC posting...

I just don't see the point in fixing something that isn't broken.

Stop whining. It was a suggestion, no one said this was happening and I never said your opinion didn't matter. I talked to Spike, so let me try explaining what he means a little better. Basically, a limit on quests for newer users so that they cannot achieve higher than 23 points with out being here for longer than two weeks. One hundred posts is not asking for much anyway.
Just sayin' a lot of us who have been here from the start still only have 23 points. Ahem.
UlcaTron wrote:Better to have effective rules than not.
Point and case. Not like it'd effect any of you guys anyway. I get what you mean viva, but honestly is it a big deal to stunt someone at 23 points until they show they are at least somewhat devoted to the site?
Re: Questing Limitations
If they aren't devoted then it doesn't affect us in anyway whatsoever. There is no need to quell the progression of someone that is working hard for their points, but if it gets out of hand we can simply tell them to wait for a while before they quest again. This would be enacting an unneeded rule, like if we outlawed symbiotes but we didn't have too many symbiotes. Why rule over something that doesn't need to be ruled over? Quests JUST now started picking back up if we limit them now then they may die again. And the fact that many of the long standing users only have 23 points is no ones fault but their own, they have been here for years questing should be something they do if they want more points.

Re: Questing Limitations
Besides, how many quests have been finished to completion? 4, maybe 5? Do we really need to stop that number from reaching 6 or 7? Putting a limit past the admin approval is unneeded, especially since we already limited the Power Grids to reaching 26/24 at the max for non-flyers/flyers respectively, which is a limit in and of itself to the quests one can do. No one spams quests, you can only be in 2 topics at once, period, regardless of the type of topic, and it's too hard to keep track of post-quest posts of multiple users. The way the quests are set up is already an effective way of limiting the amount of points one can achieve and how quickly one can achieve those points. Why fix something that is so far from broken?
