Stepping into the spotlight

((Ferrum's defense against the lighting attack made almost no sense. Sure, creating a lightning rod to absorb a lightning based attack is very possible. But why the hell did the lightning stop going after you and towards the metal pole? You can't direct or control lightning! You're wearing a suit completely made of metal, you have twice as much metal on you as there is on that pole, you're an even bigger lightning rod! And on top of that, even if the rod were to absorb the lightning blast, it would still effect you given how close you are to it. That'd be like Wilbert throwing his shield away from him to avoid a lightning attack, the lightning went away from him and hit his shield instead, not harming Wilbert in the slightest.))

Wilbert had slid back several feet from the impact of that lightning bolt, shaking off the effects with a jerk of his head. Sparks of electricity came from his suit and shield, designed to withstand almost any weather condition, environment , temperature, and many other dangers. Still hurt, but having equipment that didn't short circuit on you, or allowed you to survive in space/underwater was extremely useful. And that was only one of it's many uses.

His brown eyes stared the two of them down from beneath his mask, his main focus switching to Renegade as he created a barrier of electricity around them. "Not good." He said plainly and quietly to himself. He knew he was in trouble, two on one, no where to run, no shadows to hide in, simply a big open field. This worked both ways however, inside this field there weren't as many cars or metallic objects, and Renegade was cut off from the sky. Trapped like a rat in a cage.

The Black Knight would not fall so easily, his eyes widening then focusing as the fiery electric attacks hurled his way. He took off full sprint, running in an arc around the villains, his shield on his right side defending the only side exposed to them. Oddly, his shield was still sparking with some electricity, as if it had absorbed a portion of lightning from that attack; this causes his shield to slightly shock him as he held it, it was a small but painful shock, nothing major enough detriment him. Surprisingly, Wilbert was charging in to the left in a wide half circle, even though he was still slightly injured from the previous lightning attack. His path was headed straight towards Ferrum, he definitely had something up his sleeve. Using these two against each other was all he had at this point, relying on his own powers alone would result in death. He simply was not strong enough alone, he knew it and was not afraid to admit it, that is what made him better; strategy over power.

"Wow look who survived?" Renegade said with a slight laugh , and once more started to hurl lightening bolts at him. Then Renegade's swift bodily movements started to charge at the black knight.

The Black Knight averted his attention from Ferrum to Renegade, more lighting bolts, how predictable! At least Ferrum had better tricks, still at a stalemate with the magnetic master; but perhaps not for long. He put his shield up in front of him and moved towards his opponent, plowing through the lightning bolts as best he could. This was getting tiring, he was going to need a moment to catch his breath soon. Small sparks of electricity still hit him, but nothing significant enough to cause any true injuries, simply minor pains.

Once close enough for a punch, his hand free of the shield swung towards Renegade's cheek.

Ferrum spotted his chance for attack, moving behind the Black Knight, but still at a distance in one quick movement. he brought his hands together and charged a cosmic blast, firing it at the Black Knight's back.

at the last second, he created a giant electromagnetic field that protected his whole body

Making contact with Renegade's cheek even despite his efforts to shield himself from the attack, hitting him with every ounce of strength the Black Knight had; he was indeed powerful. He had to make sure that hit count, cause now he was forced to be hit by Ferrum and took shocking damage from hitting Renegade with that attack. Having almost no chance to dodge Ferrum's attack, and still dealing with the pains of being shocked by the electromagnetic field. His back took the full force of the cosmic blast, being sent hurling forward over his downed foe Renegade. He was hurt, but far from out of this!

He caught himself midair, flipping forward and planting his feet onto the building he was about to crash into. Immediately he pushed himself off of the building, flipping down to the ground and landing on his feet several yards away from the two villains. Ferrum standing on his feet staring at him with his sinister eyes, Renegade on the ground still recovering from the punch. This was indeed a challenge..."Your kind never changes. Always with no honor....Cowards." Wilbert said boldly in his deep and poetic voice as he assumed his fighting stance once again, his left arm forward holding his shield out, and his right hand was calmly gripping his shields lower edge. The Black Knight stared them both down boldly, he would show no fear...

Ferrum smirked, this Black Knight character was something else, just then a cage of cars fell formed from the empty street beside the fighters, and wrapped around Renegade. "There now it is just us my friend." he said coldly waiting for his opponent to make a move.

Renegade coming into conscienceness realized what just happened. "what the fuck are you doing, whose side are you on?" Renegade yelled angrily at Ferrum. he then started to blast the cage with lightening bolts.

Wilbert eyed down Ferrum ferociously, surprised to see such an action from a villain like him. Whether he did it for honor, or just for his own amusement, it was his best chance at winning this. As strong as The Black Knight is, it was impossible to take them both down, he could only hold them off.

"Bold move...One I will make you regret."

Perhaps now he has a chance, if he can defeat Ferrum in time before Renegade escapes from the metallic prison that is. Seeing Renegade's lightning struggle to break free of the metal chamber surrounding him worried the Dark Warrior, if he were to escape it would ruin his chances of victory; he must act quickly and do everything he can to keep this one on one. He ripped his shield off his arm and powerfully tossed it towards his foe Ferrum, the powerful shield would tear through anything in it's path.
