Stepping into the spotlight

Its 5am on a cold Monday morning and Renegade has just made his way to the North. He has been searching the country for his perfect spot to begin his Tyranny. He noticed that he was in Chicago and he got excited. He has only heard of stories from the great city and now the city belonged to him.

Renegade made his way to the heart of Chicago and began to head for the City Hall, he figured that he had to capture Illinois's biggest city before he ca take over the state and that was exactly what he had in stored to do.

Percival was sitting on the steps of City Hall with a cigarette in his hand and a black suit over his body. He looked tired, worn out and rubbed his eyes. "Ah, there you are" Percival said as he puffed on his cigarette and blew the smoke out of his mouth. "I have seen you around before, I have had men following you for a while now" he said with a chuckle.

"That is great to know. Now get out of my way. I can't afford to be bothered by you today. please do come back another day.?" Renegade said as he continued to walk up the steps to city hall.

Percival leaned back on the steps and laughed maniacally. "Then I will consider this your test then" he said with a smirk as he tossed his cigarette on the ground. "Or would you rather wait for another day" he continued as he rose to his feet.

Renegade looked back as he continued to walk and said, " I have heard great things about this city, its a shame that your just sitting here bothering people as they walk by. and this is your fair warning. leave me at once or your not going to be the only person who suffers." Renegade turned around and opened the door to city hall

"Ferrum...So you've finally decided to pick a fight in the city of Shadows?" Said a deep, raspy and poetic voice from above, a shadowed figure being seen on the roof of city hall, it was none other than the Black Knight himself! A smirk on his face from underneath his mask, his glowing white eyes narrowing down on Ferrum and his accomplice, he knew about Ferrum, he had done a lot of research on him, he was not someone to toy with and Wilbert knew that. Wilbert also knew his powers very well, some one as infamous as him, his powers were not too hard to figure out. Though he didn't know everything, he knew enough to give him a slight advantage.

He was crouched like a gargoyle, staring down at the two of them. He then quickly dropped down, landing before Renegade, stopping him from entering City Hall. Wilbert stood there tall and strong in his black costume, a fierce expression now on his face as he stared the two villains down, his eyes never leaving either of them. "Leave this city now...Both of you, or face me." He stated boldly as he assumed his highly proffesionaly combat stance.

Percival didn't even flinch at this, he was used to weird heroes popping in. Percival took another cigarette from his coat pocket, and lit it nonchalantly "And you are?" he asked with a smirk, almost forgetting about Renegade. "You know I see so many worthless heroes it is almost impossible to keep track of them all, if it wasn't for this eidetic memory I don't know where I would be" he finished by taking a puff of his cigarette.

"Who are you and why are you in my way? I am pretty sure I don't know you, and the fact that this clown called you a hero must make him what a "bad guy"? I really am not interested in your foolish games. I am here for one purpose and one purpose only even though it seems as if you idiots keep popping out of no where." As Renegade finished speaking he took out a small lighter from his pocket and asked the masked man to move at once before he gets angry.

Wilbert's eyes narrowed from beneath his mask, the glowing white eyes staring down the two villains before him, their petty insults and empty threats meant nothing to Wilbert, he ignored them and simply stared them down, playing the strong silent type; it payed off the most. His stance remained unchanged, still in his fighting stance, not even budging an inch, refusing to move for either of them.

"I am the one who will defeat you, I am the protector of all that is just, I am the man in the shadows, I am your worst nightmare...I am...The Black Knight..." He said boldly in his deep, raspy and yet poetic voice, and with out a second more of notice, two smoke bombs went off, one at each of the villains feet. Wilbert used this chance to strike, during the confusion, their visions blurred but his not, he dashed in towards what he deemed as the smaller threat, attempting to get rid of him as quickly as possible. He came to a halt inches before him, skidding to a stop, his right arm thrust forward, his palm attempting to slam into Renegade's stomach.

Percival disappeared, he was gone in the flash of an eye. "Not so fast buddy" Percival said as he appeared behind the Black Knight. Percival moved back away from the Black Knight, he knew he wasn't the best fighter and that Black Knight wasn't anything to mess with. Percival was now a few steps above the Black Knight and with one hand fired a beam of Cosmic Energy at the Black Knight's spine and with the other hand he sent a car flying at the Black Knight's front.

Renegade was able to swiftly dodge the strike by the Black Knight, Renegade then dashed a few meters back giving himself more than enough room for what he was planning. with a quick click from the lighter Renegade had a giant fire ball in his hand and hurled it at The Black Knight. he then continued to blast off several fire blast at City Hall. blasting it into rebel.

Wilbert had just barely missed his first strike, pulling his hand back and assuming his martial arts stance once again, staring down Renegade in front of him and eying Ferrum out of the corner of his eye, making sure never to take his eye off of either of them for more than a second. His head having to turn slightly to see Ferrum over his shoulder, the cosmic blast hurling towards his back quickly, looking forward, a fire blast hurling towards him. He knew what he had to do, the only thing he could do, dodge and counter. He fell off of his feet and onto his back, catching himself on his hands and holding himself up almost like a crab, on hands and feet, stomach facing the sky.

Directly above Wilbert the two blasts met one another in a violent collision, canceling one another out. Wilbert simply remained in his crab-like stance until it ceased, which was nearly instantly. Suddenly Wilbert saw it, a car hurling towards him, and right behind it a group of fire balls were being hurled towards the city hall! Wilbert gathered as much strength as he could in his hands and legs before flinging himself with all his might off of the ground, using his hands to propel him forward, feet first he flew straight into the car, kicking it as hard as he possibly could with the momentum he had from flinging himself, managing to send the car flying back in the other direction!

The car hurled through the air, as Wilbert planned, it flew in the way of Renegade's fireballs and towards Renegade! Stopping them from harming him and sending a fiery vehicle hurling towards the villain, it would blow at any second!

Wilbert skillfully landed on two feet after preforming that insane stunt, his head spinning to view Ferrum, his eyes darting around to where he had gone to. Ferrum right now was the biggest threat, Renegade had to deal with the flying flame car right now.

The car stopped instantly and went back at the Black Knight Percival merely grinned as he removed the cigarette out of his mouth and blew a puff of smoke, suddenly Percival's suit wrapped around him turning him into Ferrum, his left hand glowing silver ready to fire off more cosmic energy.

Wilbert bent his knees and waited for the car to come closer and at the last second jumped high over it, skillfully throwing his body over the flaming vehicle, just barely missing it. His left hand gripped a few explosives from his utility belt and tossed them down towards Ferrum, even if they had little effect, the smoke they released gave him more time to make his move, making him much harder to see and target. Wilbert's right hand had been gripping his grapnel device the whole time, now sling his right arm forward towards Ferrum's feet, latching into the ground beside him and reeling himself in with the press of a button, zooming in towards him in a blur of speed, feet first, attempting to plant them both into his chest!

As the grappling hook hit the ground it unlatched, giving the Black Knight no ground to hold onto, he had removed them with his powers. Ferrum dodged to the side of the Black Knight's attack and when he was at his side he fired another cosmic beam at the Black Knight's side. Ferrum then rose from the ground as he began to float as he pulled in random metallic items flying at the Black Knight.
