The Secret of the Ray [Bonjove, Jeisen, Wolf Girl, Red Tide, creator, 16]

Prologue:

Little Fox Creek, Missouri. 25 miles Northeast of Joplin, Missouri. July 17th, 2020 AD.

Little Fox Creek was a small city in Jasper County, Population: 50,000. It is a small city, even when compared to near by cities like Joplin and Springfield. Many of the building were not tall buildings, mainly 50 feet tall in the downtown area. Downtown Little Fox Creek was mainly made up of apartment buildings and historic buildings that were around from late 19th and early 20th Centuries.

This town once was known for a high crime rate. But two years ago, in the Ozarks Forests that were around the city, something crashed down to Earth and brought hope to the town. a odd looking girl dressed into a blue metallic leotard with the ears and tail of a wolf. When she came, the criminals were soon being taken down. Soon, the people of Little Fox Creek were cheering their own hometown Hero: Wolf Girl as she took down street gangs, rapists, bank robbers, small time mobsters and other criminals.

Rai'ka Sodarua alwasy wondered why they called her Wolf Girl, as she did not look like the caninoid animal that was native to this world. Maybe it was the tail and ears.

Rai'ka was not from this world. In fact her home was 8.6 Light Years away, on a planet that was around the star the humans called 'Sirius'. She always looked up at the star in the summer nights, thinking of home when she was out on patrol, like she was doing tonight.

Leaping from roof top to roof top in the Downtown area, on the look out for any crimes that could be in progress. While on patrol, she would stop at a news stand. She had learn to speak the language that was known as English from hearing the locals speak it and by reading it on what the humans call 'newspapers'.

the headline on one of the papers, the Fox Ears, was one about her.

WOLF GIRL CAPTURES WANTED RAPE GANG!

Wolf Girl remembered that event, when the local law enforcement had surrounded a gang of ten rapists, who were hold up in a old house and armed to the teeth with automatic weapons. Seeing that the police were outgun, she had broke in slowly and surprised the gang, taking nine down and faced the leader, who had a conducted electrical weapon ready for stunning her and to 'hump a leotard' (which, a police officer later told her, was code for raping a superheroine.). Luckily she kicked the weapon out of his hand and engaged him in hand to hand combat, which ended when she kicked him in the crouch.

She giggled a bit as she read on the paper that the gang leader was still speaking in a high pitch.

Then an article caught her eye. As she read it, she had a look of shock on her face. "That is impossible!"she exclaim to her self as she read it.

It read: STRANGE MACHINE FOUND IN JOPLIN!

Joplin, Missouri- While digging for a new Apartment complex on West 13th street, a construction team discovered a unknown device. while investigating the thing, a worker accidentally activated it. causing the device to shoot out a beam of greenish-blue light, which stuck a near-by iron beam and somehow transformed it into pure platinum. More on this story later on.

This made Wolf Girl wonder what was going on in Joplin. a Machine that transformed metals? not even her people found a way to do that easy. She looked at the article thoughtfully. "I think it is time I visited another town." she said to her self after putting the paper back on the stand with out the owner knowing.

the Next day, she started off towards Joplin. Her main reason was to find out about the machine, and also to protect it. She already guessed that a Machine that could turn one type of metal into another would be something that would attract Criminals, who would seek to steal it. So she would be there to make sure that they never got their hands on it.

So the adventure begins...........

Not to far from Joplin a teenager can be seen with a backpack over his shoulder. He was wearing a sweatshirt with a hoodie up and a red bandanna. He also has a pair of blue jeans and red running shoes. He even managed to put a lighting bolt symbol on his sweatshirt. He looked at a sign that told him, he was ten miles away from reaching Joplin. Not a problem for the speedster.
He had came from Brooklyn when, he heard about a machine that can turn things into pure titanium. He got the idea to check it out and make sure no one would try to take it.
During the last few weeks, he uses his speed to help many people in Brooklyn. He was know as the black streak at first because no one saw him when he was running, but he decided to make himself know as QuickKid, The prince of Speed and protector or Brooklyn. He got a good image in the eyes of the public, but he has yet to make first with the police.
He though it wouldn't be much trouble to leave for a little bit.
Looking at the sign one last time he raced down the road to the city as sparks of golden lighting came off of him.

Jeisen: "So where am I headed to again?"

Jeisen was sitting by his desk, mechanical parts splayed out. Jeisen was just in the middle of cleaning his guns and gear when Nolan had come to tell him about

Nolan: "Joplin Missouri. Its where the device was found according to the news reports. Looks like some older tech that can change metals somehow. Figuring out how that would work would be a real boon to just about anyone who need rare metals."

Jeisen scratched the top of his nose as he thought about it. Rare metals were good, but Jeisen was using more polymers these days since they conducted less electricity. Platium would be useful for a few of his experiments and machines though.

Jeisen: "Think we could get a copy of its design? Maybe you could scan it a bit then piece a new one together eh?"

Nolan: "possibly, only way to find out is to head there."

Jeisen: "I'll go get my suit then"

A few hours later and Jeisen was in the middle of nowwhere... or at least thats what it felt like. Missori had far to much farm land for Jeisen's taste. Far far too much. He had teleported to hos closest mark, but was still a ways away. Jeisen had to run most of the distance to get to the smaller town. At least it felt like a small town. Jeisen had gotten used to London, and most recently, New york. This slightly threw him off of his game being in a land so flat. It wasn't long though, before Jeisen got to the edge of the area. Now... to find the device

Lucius sat up late one night tinkering with a project he wasn't telling anyone about, no one but him knew what he was making and it was getting on the others nerves. He had Hector running through the newly acquired Chicago PD database searching for anything of use. After a few minutes of searching he found a meta in there system identified as hero, it was another young one, he called himself quick kid. The hero types were hard to convert but not impossible, but something else of interest was found not in the database but on the local news.


Some kind of technology that could allegedly turn any metal in to another, this had its obvious advantages that were only a bonus to lucius. He could use it for several experiments he was currently working on, as well as future ones. The weird bit was that this kid was last sighted 50 miles outside Joplin, maybe he could get a recruit and some useful tech.He decided to get his team together and drive down there, they geared up and got in Lucius' armored van. They arrived in Joplin in just under a day, they set up shop on a rooftop overlooking the operation.

Through Lucius' lens he could zoom in and see what was happening up close, he only got a few glimpses of the device but from what he could see it was older, yet highly advanced. "Sir, the light is kicking off unknown radiation and energies, i advise caution" the AI reported to its master "noted" lucius replied.
Lucius decided to wait a bit until the news crews cleared out to make his move, he knew this would attract other criminals and maybe heroes so he and his team could be in for a fight.

A large dragon flew in the air trailing water shattering cold wind beind it. The sky was clear so it was obvious that a long thing was flying in the air, but at their hieght they could easily be seen a a banner flying through the sky. Karah let the wind rush through her hair as she staired at her surroundings. The ground was barren and nothing was seen for miles until they hit a small town in missouri, probably the place she's suppose to get this thing from.

Roseria told her to go and find a way to retrieve the weapon in intrest while also abiding by the targets rules. Karah didn't even know who hired roseria for this job, but she felt bad for them since they weren't going to get anything. Karah pushed herself off of the dragon above her and descended to the ground.

She dropped like a bullet, but it didn't phase her. She rolled and flipped in the air as the town grew bigger and bigger in sight. The ground floor appeared in no time and she landed on her feet cracking the ground beneath her. People gasped as they watched the little girl get up as if the fall was nothing.

She looked at everyone then decided to start off by politely asking about the weapon before destroying the city. "Anyone know where that weapon is right now, if you do please tell now before i make your city vanish." She called into the general crowd near her.

A machine with the special properties of being able to change metal into different versions of metal? Not the most interesting thing to talk about. Sixteen's story of getting involved with all this mess is of course, money. Being the loving and obviously most charming assassin around, his very almost infinite connections were no doubt growing by the day, his incredible super speed had people from all over testing and pushing his skills to points he hadn't seen in a long time. His statement: Find and secure it, give out location and be rich, like finding the treasure and paying to give it too someone.


His managers always knew sneaky ways of actually motivating him to go. Lets not forget he gathered some new 'features' he was waiting to test out. So his final answer ended up being yes, for many reasons but for the most part his reputation rate was starting to grow in the criminal community, it was just like he dreamed. He didn't go to the U.S too often but when he did he always made sure it was a legit reason; Nothing that would waste his time. Sixteen - after meditation and a good stretch was off moving at high speeds to get to his destination which was a place almost new too him.  


Stopping at the sign, he inhaled a small portion of air and mentally readied himself. Dashing himself into the targeted town, once he got to a safe distance he quickly made his way through the people, using basic blending he super speed side stepped his way inside the bar, out of plain sight - He looked outside in the bar, the smell of alcohol attacks his nose punishing him with a strong sense of manhood, or was it drunks? I forget.


His blue eyes scanned the area, while his body stayed out of sight from the inside of the window. From his view point he could clearly see a face he has seen before, someone he took down a while back. First step, just watch and see: Someone will greet her, he just has to find the right opening. For now he was hidden in a building, her loud ass entrance cause all the attention to dwell on her, and his super speed and blending skills he was not tracked.

Ready for action as usual, only real thing to do was wait. He didn't sense any intent, but he did sense possible threats in the near area; But Meta humans are all around the world, so potential threats are not real threats. At least not unless they want their shit split. Let's wait and watch. He choose to stand instead of sitting; men around gathered despite his ninja mask they were more interested in the bullet speed of a female threatening to turn the town into dust.

Joplin as no stranger to disaster, as shown on May 22nd, 2011 when a EF-5 came though the southern part of the city. But when a little girl Dropped out of the sky from the back of a dragon and threatened to destroy the city, the civilians soon started to run.

Wolf Girl was already in the city, running at 40 Miles per hour when she saw the strange flying animal and what dropped from it. reaching the area and seeing the little girl, she had a few questions race though her mind. Who or what was this little girl? why was she here? When she heard the threat the girl made, she decided to end it before anything could happen.

Wolf Girl raced to five feet behind the strange girl and got into a defensive stance. "You are not making anything vanish, little girl!" She yelled.

Karah looked as people began to run and it pissed her off.  Them running wasn't going to get her anywhere.  Just as she was about to completly fall off her rocker a random girl appeared and got too close for safety.  Her own safety.  She told Karah that she wasn't going to make anything vanish and karah took this as a challenge, which meant that this girl was going to be an obstacle.  She looked at the girl before jumping into the air and swing her leg around forming a small burst of force around her foot that would explode on contact.

As she did this she began to look around as everyone began to watch her.

Wolf Girl had seen many things while she was on Earth, but this little girl was not like any human she had encountered before. She was  surprised when the girl jumped into the air and aimed a swing kick at her, something that made her feel that this was no normal being she was facing.

The kick told her that as it had hit her, a blast struck Wolf Girl, throwing her through the air and slamming her into a parked car. thankfully no one was in the car. Wolf Girl then struggled out of the wreck of the vehicle, bleeding from the scratches and cuts from the impact. Her blue leotard already had rips in it with blood coming out. "What in the name of the Galactic Rim are you?" she said, glaring at her, hoping that the girl would not attack again.

Nolan: "sir, it appears there is a dragon coming in for a flyby"

Jeisen: "...."

Nolan:" oh look! There it goes! Anddd something jumped down from it."

Jeisen paused in the alleyway, dropping down into a crouched position. He had just gotten the last knife into position on the last of the rooftops when the girl dropping in from the dragon decided to make an entrance. Jeisen had taken the time to spread out four knives across a set of roof tops in a large circle, about 100 yard in any direction to a knife from the middle.

Good thing too, cause the local hero here had just gotten kicked into a car.

Nolan: "meta human ability it seems. The kick exploded on contact with the heroine."

Jeisen: "you sure?"

Nolan:" that's what the thermal imaging is showing. Moment of contact there was a spike eminating from the foot. "

A grunt was te only answer as Jeisen looked out into the street from his dark little corner. Nolan had found report of this heroine in the local newspapers so Jeisen assumed she could handle it herself. If another meta human was going to outmatch her... Jeisen I soaped both of his guns, still crouched and waiting.

Jeisen: "just hold on a little longer, I'll help when you need it."

Though he was talking to himself really. He had to have faith that te local hero could handle herself.

Lucius and the rest of the group sat on the roof watching, the people were not going to leave anytime soon so Lucius had to improvise. "Daniel, get Leo down there to put those people to sleep" Lucius said to his team member. With the command given Daniel grabbed Leo and ported him down to where the news crews and the device was, the people watched in shock as the two appeared out of nowhere. "Good evening everyone" Leo said to the people. When they heard his voice they slowly fell asleep and hit the ground, with the people out of the way lucius could make his move. Isabel created a floor like shield and everyone got on, she then lowered them to the ground from atop the building and she made her way down the fire escape.


When they were all back together they began walking toward the device, they arrived infront of it and Lucius began to examine it. "Hector, do some scanning on this thing"  Lucius said as he looked at the large device. It would have to be lifted out of the ground as it was stuck, but john should be able to lift it out quite easily. "John, try lifting this thing out, i guess this wont be as much trouble as i thought it would" Lucius said to john. John stepped forward and put his arms around the device, he then lifted it and with effort it came free of the ground. John put it down infront of Lucius who started looking at it, but as he knelt down he saw a dragon like creature in the sky, then someone or something fell from it. "Ahhh, get the damn thing in the van and lets go" Lucius sighed. John then picked it up once more and began hauling it to the van, the others followed soon after.

Dark was quiet as he was most of the time but he nether stayed quiet for entire days. It made Marcus worrie but as of now he didn't have time to worrie, he was hungry and he knew there was a town called Joplin which made him chuckle whenever he thought about it. "who names a city or town that." He said to himself. He finally made it to the city limits when he saw something that would have given him a heart attack if he wasn't an beast himself. "That Is a Dragon, A Bloody dragon!" Marcus said out loud in awe of its sight. "I want one now." He said to himself alot more quieter than before. He looked forward  and rushed into the town or city to where it was going.

Halfway though he could hear the screams of people and headed towards them in the hopes of finding some action. When he made it he got a close up of the beast and its rider who was.... a young girl but his greater concern was for the dragon riders opponent someone who he had met a few days ago and probably the first person to see his power. Seems like she needs our help. Dark said finally wake from his slumber. "Good of you to join us Dark." Marcus said back as he got closer to the dragon rider. "Hey girl, mind not ripping her combat uniform please." Marcus yelled out to her hoping to get her attention.

Sixteen had been watching the action from the inside of a bar for a small amount of time in everyone's opinion. His brain however was different than every one else in ways people couldn't compare. His mind moved much slower, every detail was presented upon him in ways imagination couldn't catch up. He had to be patient and wait for the time to be correct for him to actually make a move on the group. Time consuming his every thought slowly, all the men around them watched the world provide them with something they would never understand outside this town. He thought of scanning the area for the machine while they were fighting, but he wanted to see if maybe he could get rid of the competition before he needed to do so. He was the only one in the bar not surprised by the supernatural skills they had possessed.


His time was almost near. His danger senses tingled, actually a bit louder then just alerting others of possible targets. As it signaled, two unidentified meta humans which were assumed by Sixteen appeared and the moment they made contact with the ground it was time. Sixteen went mach 3 beyond it, causing a large explosion sound in the absence of his wake and a bit of a shocking forcewave knocking everyone to the ground that were inside the bar. Going full speed, yes he blitz those young little recruits - easily getting behind them he used the media van's electricity to both of his hands and applied them to the teleporter and the sleeper. Aiming for their back probably likely before they could notice he would electrify them in there head. Just enough to knock them out.


If it worked, good shit. If not then he had more then effective ways to take those two down without killing them. Dashing over to were the other targets were located he made his way onto of a building. He noticed one of them, the rest seemed a bit untrained. His hand created a large blue ball of thunder in absolute seconds, before being launched at the group of Red Tide, Daniel and whoever else in the group making contact with what looked like the machine. It was moving much faster then they think it would, and it would erupt a 15 meter radius blast of electricity meaning they are likely to need to move.


This was with the use of his magical tattoo, so it did look like he was using electricity of his own, but that exploding ball was used to push usually. Sixteen vanished once again to reappear onto of the machine that was so heavy, when he threw the thunder bomb it was right before Daniel made an attempt to pick it up. So he intercepted his attempt to steal it and now he was standing on top of it. Awaiting his move, eyes beyond the mask was of interest. "Obviously we both work together, so how about we make this a training day? Let's see just how you and your lackeys work together." He came up with that solid idea beyond anything else. "Your move" Oh this wasn't an option. He was going to take them down. "If you can't get past me, you don't deserve the machine!"

Quick had gotten to the city before the fighting started, but was in a coffee shop. He decided to have a good cup of coffee before going to check out the machine everyone has been talking about. While, he was drinking his coffee, he was watching music videos on his phone. It was a good few minutes before, he noticed people running as, he was looking at the window.
He payed for the coffee then ran out faster then the eye can follow. He ran for a short bit before stopping to look at the sky in complete shock. A dragon a literal dragon was flying in the sky. He was convinced that the man at the counter put something in his coffee. He two females fighting in the middle of the street. He ran faster the sound toward the little girl. He would then hit her with his palm hoping that the combination of his strength and momentum would send her back a few feet.

karah looked over to see that another person had appeared.  She was about to attack him when something hit her in the gut.  She flew back and slammed onto the floor rolling for a few feet.  She used the momentum to roll onto her feet then looked at the culprit.

Two swords appeared in her hand.  Her left hand held a sword with a purple ribbon on the end.  This sword was known as nightmares.  Her right hand held a sword that was attached to a bright green ribbon.  this sword was known as basilisk.  Karah stood up and staired at the trio then smirked.  She thrusted nightmare forward and a wave of sound boomed forward.

While pushing the sound from her sword she stabbed basilisk into the ground.  9 large snakes erupted from the ground beneath her and also surged forward bent on constricting and breaking anything they could touch.  She looked at her opponents as she watched the destruction take place.
