Database Hijack (Guilty Spark) Empty Database Hijack (Guilty Spark)

Lucius was standing in the alleyway behind the Chicago Police Department. His objective was to infiltrate the station then upload a program to one of the computers that would send the entire database to his labs computer.  He had done the same to the New York PD just the week before, and his labs mainframe was still getting new data that came through there system. Looks like the cops don't have very many techies working for them, or else his program would have been removed. The reason he wanted the data was so he could identify and get info on any metas that may be in there system, as well as important humans, not that it didn't have other uses. He fired his grapple line at the roof of the station and it pulled him up on to it.  He made his way to the roof access door and walked inside.

He walked down the stairs and was now in the 3rd floor computer lab. It was closed for the night, but he would have to be quite as to not alert the officers in the floors below.  He walked past rows and rows of desks until he arrived at a door with a gold plate engraved with the words Chiefs Office. He tried to open it but it was locked. He grabbed his sword  from its sheath then wedged the blade between the knob and the door. With a little pressure it gave away and the door opened. It was a little dark without the lights on, and he didn't dare turn them on. "Hector, activate night vision." lucius whispered. "Yes sir." the AI said in a stereotypical British accent. Suddenly the lens in his mask lit up with green night vision, he could see fine now.

He walked over to the chiefs desk and powered on the computer sitting on it. The screen lit up with the CPD logo and a password input box. "Hector, initiate a remote connection with this computer then use my dictionary crack on the password" He said to the AI. "Right away sir, crack 4% complete" the AI responded. It was his first field test with Hector, and it seemed to be working out great. The AI could establish connections in under a second and penetrate advanced computer systems in under 2 minutes. "Crack complete, password broken." The Ai said. Lucius then had access to the computer "Upload and run project ARES. lucius said. "initializing.........1% complete ETA 3 minutes." the AI responded. After a couple minutes of waiting a light flicked on in the other room. lucius ducked behind the desk and peaked over it to see who it was. It was the chief of police, and he was walking straight for lucius. The chief walked in to the office then flicked the light switch. the moment he did lucius jumped toward him a cupped his hand over the chiefs mouth and nose. He slowly dropped the chief to the floor as he drifted in to unconsciousness. Lucius shut the light off" Hector, ETA"  lucius muttered. "1 minute sir" the AI replied.

Database Hijack (Guilty Spark) Empty Re: Database Hijack (Guilty Spark)

Post by Humanity October 1st 2014, 6:34 pm

Guilty Spark was on the move, as always. Tonight in particular he was going after a rather interesting target, one that was going to be of use to Guilty Spark. Whether he wanted to or not. This particular target was a member of the CPD, Chicago Police Department. The more unique part of his title was that he was the Chief of the 25th district, Grand Central district. Guilty Spark knew Chicago well, as he spent the majority of his time here searching for someone, someone whom he would find. That is why he needed this chief in particular.... he would be the key to his success and this other individual's undoing. Because it was this man who filed the reports on the two young men whom attempted to stop an exosuited woman not all that long ago.

Guilty Spark was disguised as a police cruiser as he pulled up outside the station, being certain that no one got a clear look through his tinted windows to see that he as a vehicle was unmanned and moving upon his own volition. Sitting outside of the office he began to filter through the systems as best as he could. Working closely with law enforcement as he had in his past made them rather predictable their codes and procedures were ones he knew by his own coding. Long story made short, they wouldn't be able to keep him out of the system. Guilty Spark began radiating his signal, reaching out as an Artificial Intelligence and jumping on Wireless Fidelity links and infesting the system. The first thing Guilty Spark took control of was the security systems. Cameras were now his eyes and he was making great use of them as he now settled into the system. Something wasn't sitting well with him, something else was here, it wasn't the typical programs one would expect to find. It felt rather surreal, almost like you were sharing your body with someone. It was a most uncomfortable feeling, and so Guilty Spark began a scan.

Every file from here to Kingdom-Come in the CPD and anything within it, or any form of connection with the facility was not safe from detection. Much to Guilty Spark's surprise he found something he wasn't quite sure he was expecting. It was another form of intelligence, some form of cognitive coding. Though if it were a V.I or an A.I he was unable to tell at just a glance. Guilty Spark remained entertained that this other "Intelligence" would be powerless to detect him...unless Guilty Spark were willing to override his own core temporarily. Something he entertained....and something he would do. He immediately cornered the intelligence by proxy-blocking and using "junk files" and moving locations of files to more complex and less breakable paths. He even altered passwords to fit his own design as he seemingly stopped and if not, having at least delayed this other intelligence.

You beyond the typical hacker's tool. Identify yourself, Are you sentient? Guilty spark would pose the question through the binary coding in the computer, forcing the appearance that it was the computer itself which was alive while Guilty spark watched the cameras and tried to ascertain this outside entity.

Hector sifted through the files of the chiefs computer, infecting them with his masters program. Everything was going smoothly, But suddenly everything he did began to slow down to a crawl. It was unlikely to be any security program, if it was it would have hindered him from the start and not out of the blue like this. He began to scan the computer to see what was going on. "Hector, whats going on? its been 5 minutes." Lucius asked the AI "The computer seems to be blocking my efforts. I've started a full scan to identify the problem."   the AI replied "Glorious" Lucius sighed. Hectors scan was nearing completion when something spoke to him through the computers code. it must have been a sentient AI to be able to communicate in such a way through the binary. "I am Hector, a highly advanced sentient artificial intelligence. Identify yourself." the AI responded.

At the same time he asked the question he was relaying everything back to Lucius "Sir, it seems there might be someone or something else in the computer system. what ever it is it seems to be hindering me." the AI told lucius "Do whatever you can to flush it out, try to find out where the signal is coming from as well."  Lucius commanded. Hector started looking through the computer, if it was being infected by a remote connection there were places not even the most advanced AI or hacker could bypass. Hector expected to find one very hidden connection, what he found instead was thousands of blatant connections from hundreds of access points, all using a proxy to throw him off. It would be impossible to find the origin point with the computer flooded to this degree. This was no typical hacker. Sir, the system is infested, there is no way we can run the program with it like this." the AI told lucius Dammit, try to ask it what it wants. Maybe it wants the same thing as us." lucius said with a hint of frustration. "Hello, what is it you want and why are you hindering my efforts?" the AI sent out in to the computer.

Database Hijack (Guilty Spark) Empty Re: Database Hijack (Guilty Spark)

Post by Humanity October 4th 2014, 7:14 am

Guilty Spark found himself rather interested when the other intelligence identified itself, though knowing what one is called or labled does not establish that the intelligence was sentient or not. Granted, yes, it said it was a sentient artificial intelligence...though if Guilty Spark believed everything he was told then he'd have been in much bigger problems when it came to social interactions. The A.I told him to identify himself, to this Guilty Spark remained silent. There were dangers to having another A.I know your name. There were cultures in the world that believed when you told certain supernatural entities your name they then held power over you. This was so akin to A.I's that it wasn't even humorous. If he were to identify himself he would have done so under the name of Z.O.D.I.A.C, which would have then granted the A.I the capacity to research, tap in and delve into his own programming...hence giving "Hector" power over him in this interaction. Details were important when engaged with another of his "kind" as Artificial life was as specific and literal as any "Fae" or sorceress, but all the more lethal.

This one is called "Guilty Spark". He offered up, knowing that there was absolutely no information on him anywhere for this other intelligence to be able to link him with his true identity. He found himself in a risky situation as he normally had. I have hindered your efforts because this information is not yours to take. This is a violation of several laws. Please desist and discuss this that I may understand....or I shall have to take a much-unwanted course of action. Guilty Spark said to this other A.I, meanwhile he mobilized himself. (Stat booster: transformation) Silently the police cruiser's metal casing began to slide underneath itself section by section, the motor dismantled and the frame-work tubing slid inside each other as it condensed down into a humanoid figure, a black coat with a hood being pulled over his mechanoid head with sharpened fingertips. The Blue optics looked up into the office of the chief, as he observed and simutaneously watched from within the facility as security cameras. The metallic pieces that served as "eyelids" narrowed as he stepped forward swiftly, and silently scaling up the side of the building with his fingers now fashioend into sharpened talons.

"The only law i follow is my programming, and thats to obey my creator." hector said to the unknown hindrance. "and what course of action is that? i don't believe there is much more you can do then you already have." hector tryed looking for any trace of the name Guilty Spark in lucius's database and the internet to no avail, this thing ether lied about his name or it knew how to cover it's tracks extremely well. As a last ditch effort Hector installed the program on a partition that he created currently untouched by this hacker. the program would  upload itself to the main computer in 2 hours and had multiple encrypted passwords with random salts. even a supercomputer could not crack that in a timely manner. the goal was to make it look like he gave up but once they left the program would upload itself without anyone knowing.

The light flicked on in the other room again and lucius ducked down behind the desk once more. "Hector, disconnect and abort the mission, we are done here. lucius said in a frustrated tone. "Disconection complete" the AI stated. 2 guards were coming straight from the chiefs office and lucius had no where to go, except the window of course. he fired a ball of energy at it and it shattered, then lucius ran toward it then jumped out. landing in the parking lot he then saw a very strange looking creature scaling the building. "Hector, identity the humanoid ." lucius commanded. ""Sir, my scanners are not picking up any humanoid. the AI replied. "Crap" lucius said under his breath "You there on the wall! identify yourself. Were you watching me?" lucius asked. The guards heard the window brake and were now looking out it. "hey, you! your under arressAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! " before the officer could finish he was engulfed in energy, killing him almost instantly and severely burning the officer next to him. "Hector, calulate best escape route"

Database Hijack (Guilty Spark) Empty Re: Database Hijack (Guilty Spark)

Post by Humanity October 13th 2014, 6:52 am

If you cannot believe and do not believe then you limit yourself Hector...and when you limit yourself... I have won. Guilty Spark conveyed to the A.I in retort to it's comment regarding his inability to do anything more to him than he had. The physical shell continued to keep itself on the move. Auditory sensory triggered upon one such individual calling out "You're under arrest" though he was promptly interrupted and there being a screech that lead Guilty Spark to believe the worst had happened. The Mecha-being continued to scale with an increasing pace. Meanwhile his "consciousness" was still scanning and finding itself alone within what one might be able to call "The Cyber-verse". Apparently whatever the "Invader" wanted was not worth the hassle. Guilty Spark stood on the window ledge crouched as he looked to the downed officer, the eyes narrowed at the man he assumed was responsible for this "Hector" intelligence. Well now what have we here? Guilty Spark wondered to himself as he captured a still image with his mind. The individual was certainly strange to be certain, and his power was obviously enough to cause severe damages to the human beings, enough so that Guilty Spark could ascertain that the energy itself would damage him, given the opportunity that it hit him. "I request you desist your movements of escape for a moment, or this shall have most undesirable ramifications for both of us." he made the request earnest, though he himself began to wonder if this "discussion" were to actually lead to anything, or if the man would be foolish enough to try and flee.

Guilty Spark was co-existing between both Cyber-verse and the third dimensional plane we call our reality. To hold such power and to withdrawal so easily is not common... He began to scan the computer, anything foreign and anything domestic within the computer, he'd leave no file overturned, he'd leave nothing untraced. Unfortunately for the highly advanced A.I, he didn't know what EXACTLY he was looking for, therefore he found himself at a disadvantage. Guilty Spark was also at the disadvantage that he was facing a potentially whack-job scientist who was now looking upon him and likely realizing that he was a totally synthetic being that was sentient, alive and working in ways even superhumans couldn't achieve up to this point.

Post by Red October 13th 2014, 7:43 pm

Lucius was now staring at something he had never seen before. It could be a power suit with a human inside, or it could be something much more advanced. Lucius knew it was most likely the latter, looking the creature over he found that no part of it was of flesh.  This seemed to be some sort of android, that would explain the disturbance, that is probably the only thing that could have caused Hector to lose control of a system so quickly. He would love to capture such an android, he could use it to improve his own designs, however it didn't look as though it would go so easy Well, i can stop for a moment but any longer and a lot of police are going to be coming out of that station, they more then likely heard me kill the officer." lucius told the android. Hector brought up the best path of escape on his masks screens to use if he needed it. "you are highly advanced, who is you creator? lucius asked the android.

If this thing was combative he may have a problem, as he knew first hand that what a cybernetic body was capable of. Thinking of the worst lucius put his guard up, getting ready to defend himself. The last time he fought someone on the superhuman level he was beaten pretty badly, he didn't plan on making the same mistakes again. It was possible that his energy would burn right trough it, but then again he didn't know what he was dealing with and anything was possible. "were you the one causing hector trouble?" lucius asked the android hoping for a quick response as he felt enough blood was spilled tonight and he didn't want to kill anymore cops.

Database Hijack (Guilty Spark) Empty Re: Database Hijack (Guilty Spark)

Post by Humanity October 14th 2014, 5:11 pm

"My creator... He is well known in the world, but I must exercise caution. You are an anomaly and I cannot risk his safety. I'm sure you understand." Guilty Spark said. While he had the free will to reveal Zell Atterrius as his creator, he had no real desire to take such a risk against what could potentially be a serial killer who was hyped up on some form of drug or something to that extent. He looked back at the main computer and produced what sounded like a humming noise for a moment. There were detections from his scanners, there were several officers en route to their location. "I was the one giving the intelligence known as "Hector" complications. I've seen methods such as his used for nothing but malicious purposes. I am more than willing to discuss the reasoning, but there are several officers of the law on their way. I would prefer no more violence than need me. I can offer us an escape. There is little time to discuss. Please trust me, and I ask your forgiveness." Guilty Spark said before leaping forward. His reflexes were masterful, perhaps on par with Lucius'...though Guilty Spark moved faster. His body would open, mechanical whirring and the twisting and reallocation of internal metals and alloys formed around him, fitting comfortably.

"I am plotting a course of escape.... route identified." Guilty Spark said as his "face" covered over Lucius' and his "optics" turned into scanners revealing not only where people were, but much akin to a shark it was showing their brain patterns, and projecting a neuro-electrical impulse showing their actions and movements prior to them even having made them. "Do not be alarmed, I am reinforcing your neck support... I do not want you to suffer whip lash. Look in a direction, and run. I will prevent collision." Guilty Spark said, trusting that this individual would make good use of his ability to shatter the sound barrier for a non-lethal escape.

"I guess i do, however i would in the future like to know who did such fine work in your creation" lucius said to the android. He knew why he didn't tell him, Hector had the same defense system integrated deep into his programing, it was to protect lucius if hector was ever compromised. "I agree, i will trust you for the moment." lucius replied to the android. He would have to trust him or there would be an entire police force killed, and lucius did not want that kind of heat.  The android stepped forward, it then started to open up and cover lucius, forming to his body. Lucius was in shock, this thing was amazing and truly beautiful to a man of science. It was acting as a suit to help with lucius' escape, it obviously was doing this for a reason or it would have just dashed off on its own. Lucius was grateful it didn't as his speed was not going to get him far enough to escape the police, now just around the corner.

The androids visior came down and acted as a mask, it had a HUD similar to lucius' in his own mask showing all sorts of data and information. To see it however lucius would have to get rid of his mask. "Hector drop the visor" lucius commanded his AI. And just like that the mask broke off in to segments, retracting and compressing until it was out of the way.  Lucius saw a very similar route to the one Hector identified on the androids optics, he figured they were using similar navigation methods. The android then told him to run, and that he did. At first it felt a little cumbersome, but as he ran it started to feel nearly weightless. He started slow then accelerated faster....

BOOOOOM!

Lucius broke the sound barrier, he had never in any vehicle went this fast, it was amazing. He kept running and running until he felt the cops would not be able to pursue them. He stopped in an alleyway about 5 miles from the station, they had just made the coolest escape outside of movies ever. "I think thats far enough, can you let me out id rather not be inside a living piece of metal any longer. Im sure you can understand that." Lucius said trying not to seem rude but still urgent.

Database Hijack (Guilty Spark) Empty Re: Database Hijack (Guilty Spark)

Post by Humanity October 15th 2014, 7:44 pm

He was careful to keep his full protection and a watchful eye on his programming. He couldn't have this "Hector" tapping into him like a ghost and becoming a problem later. There was the breaking of the sound barrier, and as the sound barrier broke there was something Guilty Spark notice, something he hadn't noticed before. He actually moves FASTER with an individual inside of him. He would need to observe this, capitalize upon the data he gathered, hopes of improving himself. With a fixated gaze he continued on by the prompting of the individual he covered and shielded from the ripping winds that would otherwise rend flesh from bone. Though the run would be over rather soon. Over one thousand feet in a second, time was finally "relative" to Guilty Spark. What seemed like life speeding by Lucius was how Guilty spark perceived normality. He was finally able to maneuver and be free.

They found themselves stopped in an alleyway, approximately 5.1 miles away from the scene of the crime. it was then Lucius requested to be free form the confines of the shell that was Guilty Spark. A feeling that he was all to happy to oblige. The suit began to open at the front, the face lifting off and the body opening up in what appeared to be "splinters" of metal opening outward, allowing him to step forward and exit freely. With Lucius out of him, as awkward as that may sound, Guilty Spar gathered himself, sealing himself tightly as layers upon layers of metal filled the interior space. Guilty Spark looked around for a moment, his mind fixated between two worlds as he looked to Lucius.

"I apologize for the inconvenience. But I need to ask why you were after those files. I was there to capture an individual who could assist me in my goals. He is now in a situation in which getting to him will involve more bloodshed than it is worth, and a chance like this may never arise again. So perhaps if I at least knew the motives of one I helped I may be better at ease." Guilty Spark said. There were so many different ways he could have said that easier, but he was more confused at the moment about why and what this "Hector" was doing. "Of course many believe that knowledge is power. So to answer a question to me is a question I will answer for you of course... a fair...transaction?" He found himself quizzing the man, as if he were looking for confirmation that he were using the right words.

The alley was narrow and dark, lucius loved the dark, it gave him a sense of security others wouldn't understand. Usually people were afraid of it, lucius on the otherhand was the exact opposite, he felt exposed and vulnerable in the light, he had always been that way even as a kid.  The android began to remove itself from lucius' body, much to his relief. it opened at the front and lucius stepped out, then turned to face his rescuer. "Hector, put the vizor down." the mask then started to come down and cover lucius' face similar to how it was removed earlier, when fully covering his face it made a creaking sound as if snapping in to place then the lens lit up red. The android then spoke to lucius, asking him why he needed the police files.

Lucius didn't care if this being knew at this point, as he knew hector secured the programs safety and there was no way to interrupt it now. "Im sorry for disrupting your mission, i can offer you payment in the form of access to the files if you'd like, they could prove to be more worth while then this individual you speak of. My motive was to identify metas within there system, they will be needed in my larger goals. However thats not the only thing a police database can be used for "   Lucius told the android hoping he wouldn't have to reveal anymore of his plans to what was basically living internet. "If this is addiquit payment i would like to be on my way, i have alot of work to do and seeing you only reinforces my desire to get back to my research" Lucius said to the android taking a few more steps backward from him. He did indeed have work to do, he wanted to look through the database for potential recruits as well as rethink exosuit technology given that he was looking at the most advanced thing he'd ever seen

The man wanted to upload files so it would seem. Guilty Spark found himself curious? Yes, curious was the correct name for this "feeling" that he was experiencing. Seeing him somehow only infused the man with more desire to get back to his work. Was it, perhaps, too much to think that Guilty Spark was along the lines of this man's work? Was Guilty Spark in the presence of one who could could accomplish what his creator accomplished? Guilty Spark had remnants of a memory come to him. There was once a man, Irish. Childish and careless. His creator favored him because it was the father of the man who created Guilty Spark, whom turned this Irish "child" into an artificial Intelligence. It was Guilty Spark's creator who turned an Artificial being into human flesh and bone. Guilty Spark felt what one might have found to be a "pang" upon his emotions. It brought a mix of feelings, anger, loss and remorse. But perhaps that didn't need to be so.

[color:e13a=66ccff]"Of course. I will leave you to your work. Be well. I'm sure We'll encounter again." Guilty Spark said as he tried to process everything that was happening, his consciousness still scouring the Cyberverse until it finally realized something. It was all given up too soon. There was no real resistance once Guilty Spark had confronted Hector. While he couldn't find anything he knew he must have been overlooking something. He had to be. So Guilty Spark, in anticipation, reacted appropriately. Guilty Spark was spoken to of payment. Well, this was his own form of paying himself. He wanted to know how to contact this man. So he covertly returned the pulse of his Guilty Spark, concealing him from all forms of technology and he would wait. He would wait until whatever trap was sprung. He would be ignored, untouched but he would see the visible tracings, he would see the remote downloading. Then he would strike. He would insert himself through the link and find this man.

What the man had, no concern to him. Who this man was, of even less concern. What this man was doing with the horded information crossed the programming for a nanosecond, but nothing more. Guilty Spark just wanted to be able to call upon this man at a later time. A later date perhaps. Answer unanswered questions, go on a perilous adventure of Scientific proportions...perhaps even try and investigate that particular device Guilty Spark had found. But that was perhaps for another time, another day really.

Lucius was planning something big, the technology that this android was made from was spectacular to say the least. When he was inside the android he attempted to scan its internals, however it was not reading anything, perhaps some sort of shielding tech. Whatever it was Lucius would take this experience into account when creating his new technology. Lucius had a photographic memory and with this ability he did a scan of sorts of his own of the inside and out of this being, whether it would help remains a mystery to lucius. Lucius listened to the androids response then gave hector a command "Hector, once the upload is complete send the entire database to this android, he is our ally and he deserves it if nothing else" lucius ordered his AI, the last part was more to the android then anything.
"you will receive your....payment soon enough, let life be good to you, im off" lucius said as he turned away from the android, he fired his grappling hook at a nearby building then he was zipped up out of sight.

back at his lab lucius was working on something that looked not unlike his current mask, except bulkier and more metallic looking. He then picked it up and looked at it with satisfaction, he brought it over to a large suit holding cabinet and placed it inside..........
