A heart gone cold [Silus] - Page 2 Empty Re: A heart gone cold [Silus]

Well it seemed someone liked his name, which was a plus within the males book as he never really had someone say they liked his name. Actually he had not given his name to anyone ever since he met Bernadette, and that was a while ago, when he was helping stop this chick that was wrecking things. This caused a pelasant smile to bloom across his face as he considered the male that was so kind as to compliment him, even though it was something that he was not used to. It was usually someone telling him to get the hell out of here, or not noticing him at all, and the idea that someone was noticing him was nice. The male would then give his name, which was an interesting one. ”Silus eh? I kinda like it. Its all unique, Ryan’s are a dime a dozen but not everyone is a Silus.” He said with a smirk finishing off his next slice of pizza.

Then came the subject of his coughing, which was growing worst by the week but it was not like he was worried about that. He offered the kid a weak smile. 'Cough? I...don't know whatcha mean.” He would try to deflect,, only to cough loudly into his hand once again, this one rattling his chest painfully. ”Alright, I guess i'm...not all fine, but what do ya think you can do?” Ryan asked looking to Silus. ”Got anything for a cough on ya?” he would ask, a wave if dizziness hitting him and nearly knocking on his knees, but he stayed standing.

A heart gone cold [Silus] - Page 2 Empty Re: A heart gone cold [Silus]

"I know someone who will be able to help you. But we gotta get there..." Silus said pointed up at the Sears tower. He looked to Ryan and smiled. "Can you make it that far? N-NOT THAT I THINK YOU CAN'T!" He quickly added in the last part, really hoping to not have offended the other male. He then shook his head. He was being stupid again. He needed to learn when to just keep his mouth shut. Caring about strangers too much always burned him.

But that comes from Doctor Alai was always warning about pedophiles. Silus was pretty convinced though that Ryan wasn't exactly the type, considering the fact he was in rags for clothing. Maybe it was all a disguise. He didn't know. He didn't even know what was wrong with pedophiles. It was latin for like love children or something. Who doesn't love children? Except Mike and Jordan. He moved on and looked to Sears tower. It was a decent ways away, but hopefully he could make it with his new friend so he could do what he planned to do.

"Whaddo ya say?" Silus asked with a toothy smile, looking hopeful with indigo eyes fading slightly, but still with a dim light, reflective of his insecurity in thoughts about the other man's response.

Ryan's eyes followed where Silus pointed, hazel eyes looking up towards the Sears Tower, and the male nodded. Apparently he would be fine so long as they reached that tower, which he would be fine with considering that he walked a lot, it should be fine. ”Yeah I can make it that far....I think.” Ryan said with a nod, looking up to the tower still and narrowing his eyes, looking rather intense before turning his attention to the rather excitable looking male. It was nice to know that someone wanted to help him, even if it was an eleven year old. ”Alright, I guess I need a little help. Dying is not....on my agenda.” He noted with a chuckle.

"Awesome! Let's go!" Silus said as he stepped forward. He started to look around for a way to get to the tower. He also heard something that he didn't want to. It was the footsteps of familiar boots. Silus grabbed Ryan's hand and started pulling him. Amir was screaming in Urdu for Silus, and Silus wasn't quite ready to go home yet. He brought Ryan down an Alleyway before trying to pick up the pace. He would speed through with Ryan if he could. Silus stopped when he saw Doctor Alai and then he froze up. He looked to Ryan and then behind them. He let out little hum.

"Hey uhm...come with me real quick." Silus said as he walked with Ryan right past an American Eagle and then down another alleyway. They would be there soon, it was only a matter of minutes. Silus was worried though. Was a sick kid able to keep up like this? Silus was healthy and already wearing down quick. He paused for a moment and put his back against the wall. "H-hey uhm. Ry? I mean Ryan... you holding up?" he asked innocently enough, obviously trying too hard to sound cool after making the mistake of calling him "Ry"

Ryan would nod, more than ready to get to the tower, and do whatever it was that the male had in mind. What he did not expect was the child to grab ahold of his hand, then start running around with him, and run he did. Ryan found himself wondering what the hell was going on, and why the child wanted him to run. His chest began to burn, sending a lancing pain through his entire body and causing his breathing to grow a little haggard, yet he could still keep moving. Someone was screaming in a strange language for Silus, one that Ryan did not understand but he did understand that he did not want to be running for long. He would be lead through alleyways, trying to keep his breathing steady until atleast Silus stopped, and that meant that he could too.

He instantly leaned forward, with hands on his knees as the male began to breathe heavily, coughing into his fist and checking the small amount of blood that clung to his flesh. It would be wiped away on his pants leg as he looked to Silus with a small smile. The male would ask if he was holding up, and all he could do was smile weakly at Silus. 'Yeah....fine....re...really fine.” He said breathing heavily. ”I...think I need to sit down.”

A heart gone cold [Silus] - Page 2 Empty Re: A heart gone cold [Silus]

Silus nodded and thought about it for a moment. Was this too much for him, they still had to make it up the stairs. Then he remembered that there were these mystical things called elevators, and he felt dumb as hell for forgetting about them. He then tried to put himself under Ryan's arm to help lift him. Unfortunately Ryan had apparently already gone through puberty and Silus quickly learned that with his size that it was a really bad idea. He growled and he clapped his hands together. "Wait here, I'm going to have a friend come help." He said as he took off around the corner. He ran into the next available establishment and walked to the back of the store. He entered the restrooms and locked himself within a stall, quickly flashing and stepping out as his older self and walking his way back to Ryan. He was sure to put his hair up as usual, not the normal shaggy nature, darker than before but still the same sweethearted kid.

He rounded the corner and stopped as if he were just now taking notice of Ryan. He smiled at Ryan and squatted down. "Yo Ryan? Let's go, gotta get you to the top to get you better, alright?" He said an partially asked with a smile and a chuckle as he forced himself to tap into his Ethereal energy. A warm ultima aura subtly taking in effect, (+3 Strength) Silus found himself augmented in his strength and picked up Ryan as best he could, willing to help him or carry him on his back. Either way, he was getting his friend to that place. He would make as much speed as he could with his friend connected to him for the Sears building.

A heart gone cold [Silus] - Page 2 Empty Re: A heart gone cold [Silus]

Post by The Bolt July 13th 2014, 5:44 am

The young ethereal attempted to lift the male up, though all he succeeded in doing was look adorable in the process. The male would then tell him to wait there, and all Ryan could do was nod, grimacing slightly as he felt more pain shoot through his chest. ”Alright, not like I plan to run anywhere....ever again.” He muttered crossing arms over his chest and looking down to the ground, wondering if whatever was bothering him would kill him. Then came the idea that he deserved it, to die and to die horribly, but that went away quickly enough. Within a matter of moments someone would approach him, seeming to know his name as he said something about helping him get better, which.....was always a plus. Was this Silus' friend that the little guy had spoken about? Within a matter of moment Ryan was being carried upon the males back, and he would not protest, not like he intended to anyway. He felt tired anyway, yawning lightly as he nuzzled a little into the males back as he carried him.

A heart gone cold [Silus] - Page 2 Empty Re: A heart gone cold [Silus]

Post by Silus July 13th 2014, 3:50 pm

Silus felt the other guy press on him slightly as he rested. Silus smirked wondering if that's what it felt like when he did that to Zell. Just sort of nuzzled in and closed your eyes, letting yourself release all worry and care. Silus was at peace like that, knowing that Zell or Sean had him. His mind flashed to Michael at that moment though, and he became...angered? Anger towards Michael was a new one. But perhaps it was him simply "growing up". He was growing from a child whose own race (and inadvertently his own brother) had "conditioned" him into self-deprecation and worthlessness into a man who understood that his own "gene-hazard" was not his fault, his own crippling disability when he was younger wasn't his fault, his want and desire to have a loving family? Where the hell do they get off? Maybe all this time he just needed to understand himself better...what he wanted.

He had been raised so well. Through Ouroboros he was taught that he could love, through Sean he was taught how he could survive, how he could sacrifice. Through Zell he was taught how to be a hero, and how to love. Through Michael... he was taught how to forgive, to take what Zell taught him of love and truly forgive. What killed Silus though...was that he was unloved in return. He gave his heart to others, but all it had to give... resulted loathing. He remembered being there when no one else believed in Mike and he told them that he wouldn't let them kill Michael. He remembered taking the blow from Raziel to save Mike. He remembered how he himself died because of it. But Michael still...didn't love him?

"Hey, stay awake. Talk to me a little. You got anyone worth sticking around for?" He'd ask the male riding on his back as they approached the Sears tower, about forty meters away. He was pulling himself from anger, from his depressing thoughts and vowed to himself to not think of them again, not today anyways. He really couldn't help but notice the smell on the guy now. He wondered if he smelled this bad when the Alai's found him... taking him in was a kindness Silus would never forget, and hopefully he could convince them to take in another. Even if that meant Silus had to leave.

A heart gone cold [Silus] - Page 2 Empty Re: A heart gone cold [Silus]

Ryan felt it, the movement of the male with each step and how he moved along with that. It was nice, to be off of his feet for once, someone else bearing the burden of walking while he could close his eyes for a moment, as sleep began to creep upon him. What drew him from potential sleep was the sound of the males voice, Ryan stirring and muttering something quietly. ”Yeah yeah, i'm awake.” He said blinking a few times attempting to wake himself up and doing a half way decent job in that department. The male asked if he had anyone worth sticking around for, and.....he didn't. Ryan realized that he had no one worth sticking around for, his mother was likely dead and his father was most definitely dead, no one else really cared about him.

As many times before. He realized that there was no one that would care if he had dropped dead, no one at all. A low contemplative hum escaped from the males lips as his eyes narrowed lightly.”Anyone worth sticking around for? No...not at all.” he answered a little tiredly, eyes straying from the males shoulder to the approaching tower, though it was still far from being in reach. Likely the male could smell how he smelled horribly, but it wasn’t as if Ryan could do anything about it at the moment, and he was perhaps too embarrassed to bring it up, all he wanted to do now was sleep.

A heart gone cold [Silus] - Page 2 Empty Re: A heart gone cold [Silus]

Post by Silus July 13th 2014, 5:12 pm

Silus would let the male return to his sleep. Or whatever it was that the male would rather do. Silus would maneuver to the tower and sigh as he walked on through and made his way to the elevator calmly. People looked at him funny, but he didn't care. He didn't care at all actually. I'd have done this for any of you too, so blow off. He thought to himself. It was true, he'd have done this for anyone else who really needed it. But he wouldn't have been as defensive about them as he was towards this other kid. Probably because he was a friend now. Even if he didn't realize it yet. He struggled as Silus did, he fought to survive as Silus did, and now he was dying just like Silus once was when Doctor Alai found him. They were kindred in that sense, even when Silus hadn't even told Ryan. They would make it to the roof and Silus would walk out to the snow once more, looking up. He sighed as he squatted down and left Ryan off, laying him down or otherwise.

Silus brought up his special gloved hand and began to draw runes, everywhere in perfect circles and branching them out in a network of occult markings and a faint, unnoticeable aura. He knew what he needed to do. He pulled off a single a hair from his head and placed it on the middle runic circle. The circles began to glow and a beam of light, very small, a pencil in width. The light faded and for a moment, everything was silent as Silus reformed back into his child state and sat down and looked to Ryan, waiting.

A heart gone cold [Silus] - Page 2 Empty Re: A heart gone cold [Silus]

Post by Alpha July 13th 2014, 5:22 pm

By the time that Silus had reached the elevator, Ryan had drifted back into a sleep peaceful almost and within that instant the snow within the area would begin to stop, instantaneously almost. He would remain that way, even when placed on the floor for a moment, deep within his sleep as he even began to snore softly. He would remain that way for a few minutes, a dream coming to him as quickly as he fell into sleep, yet all he saw was flashes of dark red and a mangled corpse. Within an instant the male would come to, eyes flying open as he came face to face with the young male that he had met not too long ago. A small smile fell upon his lips as the snow would continue once again, small white flakes falling down upon the city.

He rubbed his eyes with the back of his hand, looking to Silus curiously and then looking to what appeared to be a window. The view from here was actually pretty amazing, his eyes widening as he let out a small exasperated gasp, for a second forgetting that he was deathly sick. ”Well.....seems I dozed of a little there.” Ryan muttered looking to Silus curiously. ”So, what now little guy?” He would ask sitting down against the wall once again and curling up, pressing his knees to his chest.

A heart gone cold [Silus] - Page 2 Empty Re: A heart gone cold [Silus]

Post by Silus July 13th 2014, 5:42 pm

"We need to wait for him to get here." Silus said with a smile as he waited. It didn't take long for him to get the message, as the person he was trying to attract was very sensitive and was easily called by Silus. Ticks and tocks passed as Silus drew a # on the wall and placed s O in the center of it before tapping Ryan's foot with his own. He was urging his new friend to play the game with him. Five minutes would be all it took before Silus began to worry. He stood up, wondering where his old friend could be and the doors flew off it's hinges in a flash likely alarming everyone nearby...that only being Silus and Ryan. A five foot tall wolf of radien rainbow colors was there growling before it saw Ryan and stopped. It stared Ryan down before sitting and just breaking into a fit of panting.

"Y-yancey?" Silus asked with a smile. The wolf's attention shifted to Silus with a whine. The wolf looked and moved forward slowly, as if not trusting his own eyes. It sniffed and brushed it's nose against Silus' hand before it whined. Silus smiled and the wolf charged him with yipping. The wolf assaulted his face with a coarse tongue as the sight of his master alive sent him into a frenzy. The wolf backed up and shook himself, and as it's did it's fur began to recede and it's color turned into that of a tan his legs turned blue. The wolf was now in a human form and pulled Silus to him to hug him. "I thought you were gone..."Yancey said with a huge smile and his eyes tearing up.

"Okay, okay! Yancey!" Silus said as he was beginning to get crushed. Yancey let go some and he looked to Ryan before his face contorted and he covered his nose. "AI AI AI!!!" He yelped, making almost dog-like noises as he leapt off to the side and made it to the door. Silus smiled at Ryan and shrugged. "This is Yancey...he's the one who can help you." Silus said with happy glowing eyes.

A heart gone cold [Silus] - Page 2 Empty Re: A heart gone cold [Silus]

So now they would play the waiting game, which Ryan could do. The hydrokinetic yawned, and shook his head, slapping his cheeks lightly with the palms of his hands to make sure that he stayed awake rather than fell asleep once again. The child would begin to draw something, a grid with a circle in the center of it and then said something about it was his turn, or motioned to convey that to be the case. The game did not go too well, as Ryan found himself losing most of the time but he did manage to win one of the games, though something told him that the kid had let him. Still, a win was a win and he would take what he could get. Soon enough however doors would fly open and a wolf would enter the scene, rainbow in coloration and around five feet in height, almost as tall as Ryan himself.

The male would look at the wolf with wide eyes, wondering how such a thing had managed to actually get around security, but something told him it was not your average wolf. Silus however seemed to recognize the wolf,, Ryan blinking a few times as he even called it by name, which was Yancey. The male crosses his arms over his chest and watched the interaction that unfolded, cocking his head to the side curiously. He would look towards Ryan after assuming some manner of human form, and yipped, perhaps making light of his horrible smell. That drew an embarrassed blush across his cheeks as well as a frown, as if offended by the yip though he stood up. ”He's the one who can help me?” Ryan asked with a raised eyebrow. ”Alright, lets see what he can do.” He muttered.

A heart gone cold [Silus] - Page 2 Empty Re: A heart gone cold [Silus]

Post by Silus July 13th 2014, 8:37 pm

"Yeah!" Silus said as he laughed. Yancey was outside on the open. Silus followed him, two large field-goal looking spikes streatching up towards the heaves as the snow graced the building's roof. Yancey was sniffing, as if trying to clear his nose of the scent he caught prior. Sadly, his sense of smell was impeccable. Silus motioned for Ryan to follow him before reaching down and grabbing his wrist. "Come on, don't make me carry you again." Silus chuckled, not even thinking of what he said as he tried to drag the boy to the roof. Yancey awaited them as he looked around.

"What does he want to see me do?" The little power-pup boy asked as he cocked his head to the side with a slight smile. Silus smiled back, happy to know that at least Yancey missed him, and that Yancey really cared. "Yancey, this is Ryan. He's my friend!" Silus said as he put an arm around Ryan and seemed to partially hug him. Yancey smiled, but his one eyebrow slid down like he was happy, but he found it humorous that Silus hugged Smelly. "He's really sick. I need you to do that thing you do to make people better." Yancey smiled and nodded as if he understood. (Yancey: Shift, Healing Light)

Yancey stepped forward and held out his hand. He would palm Ryan's forehead gently as a warm light shot out and through the body of the sickly hydrokinetic. It would likely feel like sitting by a warm fire, but never getting burned, or too hot for comfort. The sensation of bath water trickling down you was common too, as well as a very relaxed and a lucid state. Yancey pulled his hand back and he looked to Ryan, smiling as he backed away, placing a hand over his nose. "S-Silus, do you cave an extra shirt?" Yancey whined as he was currently now wishing he himself had one.

"Thanks! Yeah, it won't make him like less tired or anything, but he's not gonna die!" He offered up with a smile. Yancey looked to Ryan and then Silus, who cheered. Yancey nodded before his head shot over to the side and he held up a hand. The flash of light erupted and Yancey was sent flying back. Silus turned to hear a loud "clank". A mechanical man who harnessed the power of the wing appeared, black clouds parting and a mechanical arm sprouting off his back. The mech-hand shot out another blast at Yancey, stunning him and causing him to convulse.

"Step away from the boy, and I will not have to harm you." The man said, a thick mechanical Russian accent through the terrifying mask of Dr. Death. He held a staff with a crystal in one hand as his free hand positioned to snap a finger.

Ryan would follow after Silus, trying to keep himself awake and only partially managing to succeed within that endeavor. Silus would grip onto his wrist, and saying something about not making him have to carry him again, which caused the male to blush lightly at the implication that an eleven year old would have to help him around like he was some kind of cripple. There was no resistance on the younger male dragging him along, so Ryan would follow Silus up to the roof where he could once again feel the snow upon his flesh, Ryan removing his hood to get a better feel for it. It was likely that he would not be graced with snow like this for a while, so he would enjoy it while he had it. Silus would explain what the wanted the wolf boy to do, and he would agree with a nod, though Ryan was still wondering what that was.

Hazel eyes were kept upon the wolf boy, narrowed and hesitant upon accepting his help, yet he would do so gladly. Silus would out an arm around him and call him a friend, which sent a warm feeling through Ryan. The idea that someone would want to be his friend was a new one, especially since he smelled like garbage and probably looked like it too. Coughing into his closed fist, he would offer a weak smile to the male as he would begin to do his work, whatever that was. A light would shoot out from his hand and within an instant he felt calm, the light giving him a warm feeling that he had not felt within along while, eyes falling half lidded for a second as all of the pain within him faded away.

Yet within an instant he felt as if he would fall down, yet that was stopped as Yancey was sent flying. Another attack and the person that had helped him was convulsing in pain, then attention turned upon Ryan. His mind was all blank now, as his only thought was survival, and how he did not want to be hurt as well, as well as protecting his friend. It all happened within a second, his eyes beginning to glow a low blue color, ice blue almost as the snow around them would begin to stop within midair, and within an instant a wave of the frozen water would begin to push towards  Dr.Death. It was not aimed to kill, but simply to push him away, to keep him away from Ryan and Silus, even the melted water on the roof moving to join within the attack.

A heart gone cold [Silus] - Page 2 Empty Re: A heart gone cold [Silus]

There was a wave of ice that was thrown at Doctor Death. There was a grunt as the "Russian" figure snapped his left index finger and a small flame sizzled. The Alai gem harnessed the power of fire and sent it out at the ice. The Ice was powerful enough to conquer the Alai-Fire, something that Doctor Death would keep in consideration. But as Fire conquers Ice, it is the water which turns fire to mist, ultimately an equalizing attack. A burning and scalding mist took the area, shrouding Doctor Death from the children, and vice versa.

Doctor Death sighed as the beeps from behind his mask began to signal a lock on Silus' bio-signature. His mission was to protect the child, but it would seem as though it was going to be difficult. A child as ragged and worn as that boy held such power? Extraordinary. If Doctor Alai had a lack of morality, he may have captured and vivisected the boy. He thrust his staff into the ceiling, sticking and holding it in place as his ahnds were left open. Doctor Death's mecha-hand shot out another beam at Yancey. This one encasing him in a sphere and tractor-beaming him in until The mecha-hand literally held the power-pup boy in this sphere.

Silus looked around. he wanted to find Doctor Death so he could tell him that Ryan was his friend, but he was unable to see, nor communicate at the moment. He began drawing on the elevator door. It was a circle, and he began making four rectangles and colored them silver, and anything else was black. Soon he would be finished with his design, and he could get what he wanted. "Hang in there!" Silus yelled to Deluge.
