Midnight Stroll

Teleport? Sort of.

Jeisen shrugged nonchalantly as he spoke. He almost never really explained his powers since it took more time then it was worth. Teleportation was close enough really.

So, spectar right? Guessing this is your area then really. Didn't mean to encroach, just passing through really.

He yawned tiredly at the end.

"Specter, but yes" he says, grinning. "I'm not really the only hero in this area, so no worries about stepping on any toes."

while his left hand checks all of his gear he smiles, though his grin is hardly noticeable behind his mask.

"Perhaps you should be heading to bed, hero." he teases not unkindly, but more in a companiony sort of way

Waves his hand while covering his mouth with the other. He shakes his head to clear it a bit.

No no I'm fine. And really? Tampa need that many people? Things must be getting pretty bad then. How are the states doing? I have been....... gone for a while now really. Anything important I should catch up on?

Jeisen didn't mean to barrage the guy with a bunch of questions. He was just really out of the loop from whats been going on lately and needed to catch up

he laughs, "No, not really, its just that there are also villains in Tampa.... I mostly patrol through the big cities, breaking what hold the villains can attain."

He flicks his naginata to full size, cleaning the blood and gore off of the blade and haft, paying special attention to the silver tassel just behind the blade....

"so besides the teleporting what can you do?"

Me? Not much. I'm just a fighter really. What about you? Saw you could phase when you came through the wall there... or at least it looked like you just passed through it, I don't know what else to call it. And you use both a melee and ranged weapon set, which is kinda weird. But whatever works right?

Jeisen stays leaning against the wall, but keeps his an eye focused on the weapon. Out of habit, he just keeps anything dangerous in view. Saved his butt more then a few times

"Yeah, when I focus on nothing very intently I can actually... Well, it is similar to the Schrodinger paradox, by focusing on nothing, my body seems to not notice physical objects, and so passes through them... "

he twists the ends of the weapon and collapses it, stowing it away...

"I also am trained with a katana, a wakizashi, a wakazashi, kisurigama, and innumerable other weaponry." he states with deadly pride..

I.... I don't think thats how that paradox works... but im no theoretical scientist so I can't really say. Seems to be useful however, walking through walls or hell, bullets would be nice. Why didn't you do that then? You looked like you were shot earlier, you could have "phased" through them

Jeisen does quotation marks with his hands when he said phase. Like he said, he wasn't some genius who spent years learning that stuff, but that seemed like the closest word to fit it. But Jeisen was curious to see if what the man was carrying also changed or if it still obeyed the laws of physics. Who knows, but Jeisen didn't think it would be appropriate to ask

"If I think too hard on how I do it.... I wouldn't be able to...."

"There is a problem with that.... what was your name?" waits for Jeisen to reply, "right, anyway... If I were to have phased through the bullets, I would have had to focus long enough to phase and then..." he says as he steps through you, drawing an arrow, flicking it to full length and sticking it through your stomach...

"my slices would not have had any effect." He says, stowing the arrow, and smiling. "besides, none of the bullets packed enough of a punch to warrant more than a bruise on a me... like a hard punch on a normal person.... I am quite durable..."

Jeisen has a knife pointed the mans throat in an instant, his other hand on the mans chest. That arrow stab was defiantly not appreciated in the slightest. Even if he meant to do it as a demonstration, Jeisen didn't like being almost stabbed by an arrow

Never do that again...

Jeisen stepped back at this point and crossed his arms again. He had sheathed his blade in an instant, merely a blur to most

And well.. Guess you can call me longshot. Was a nickname growing up. But thats a long story really

Specter's hand is up in a blocking position ready to grab the hand with the knife, his other foot sliding back, into a more stable position. "I did not mean to harm you... or for you to worry.... I was simply proving my point in a way that was easiest to understand...."

"Longshot then... Perhaps you and I will meet up again.... Of course... if you are still willing to trust me"

Sure... as long as I don't have to wake up early I don't mind.

Hands him piece of paper with his number on it

I... Don't really have any fancy satellites or anything so cellphone will have to do for now

Grins and rubs the back of his head

"Well if I had a satellite I would not be doing this" specter only half jokes...

he grins behind his mask, and he spins around...

"Later, Longshot. I'll call you up if I ever need a helping hand."

Okay, I have you marked when I touched you, so finding you should be easy. In the mean time stay safe. No more bullets o the guy mmkay?

With that, jisen starts to walk out of the church. Was a good start to the night, made a friend kicked some butt. Once outside, Jeisen takes off into the city

"Oh... Oh no you don't...." Specter grabs him by the shoulder spinning him around.

"Who are you working for?" he exclaims, drawing his Naginata but not extending it yet, "Your employer thought that helping me take down a group of thugs meant I was going to trust you? You marked me so that you can track me down with a bunch of your guys, so you can take me out didn't you!"

Specter had not lived as long as he did by trusting people .... His face (what little you can see) shows undiluted rage... barely controlling every urge that he has telling him to impale the guy who had marked him...

Specter's forearms are bulging with muscle under his cloth bracers..

I recommend you get your hand off me if you would like to keep it. You were the one who made the first dangerous move if you remember, I reacted. If you hadn't done that I wouldn't have marked you.

Jeisen yawns as he turns around again. he starts walking off again as he waves his hand over his shoulder

I don't work for anyone, too much of a bother.

Specter spins the small length of metal, extending the Naginata to its full length... "You had better remove the mark. I will not have you interfering in my work...otherwise you are no better than those I hunt."

"I have yet to do anything that is a danger to you.... That will change if you don't remove the mark." the silver blade on the end of the shaft is an arc of white in the gloom of the church... the white tassel follows the haft, a second or two behind the weapons movement, pointing the weapon toward the center of your body.
