A nightly stroll(Vi only)

Sean stummbled from the bar. Mostly out of habit. He wasn't drunk at all. His body for some strange reason could take more alcohol than the average person could. What would get a normal person pissfaced drunk barely gave him a buzz. So he walked down the street. Catching the eyes of a few people. Some people giving him strange glances. Eyes lingering on him. As if he cared. Sean did what he wanted. He was a Tough Guy after all. Whatever that meant. One of Pain's little puppets. Not what he wanted to be known as. In a decent pace he made his way to the large exspansive beach. Which smelt of the wonderful ocean breeze. He took it in with huge nostril fulls.

He was dressed in his usual attire. Tight black jeans with ripped up knees. Skin conforming graphic tee with a smiley on it. Black hair with blonde highlights swept to the side. His tounge licked his lips which tasted of salt. He had a ring in his left eyebrow and right side of his lip. Which he assumed matched in a weird way. Though they kinda did. Black and white converse crunching as he walked over the cold sand. To the exspansive ocean. The waves still lapped against the shore. With a simple mental command ,and a gesture they stopped. Making the water mostly calm. Hesitantly he took a step. Trying out a new application of his power.

Expecting to have a wet foot. Yet that didn't happen. It felt like he was walking on a solid floor. So he took another step. With little effort he was waling on water. Like the little bible miracle. He was doing it! Sean let out a little cry of triumph. As he imagined a solid throne of water. One rising from the ocean water. Taking shape quickly. WIth enough presurrized water to keep its shape under his weight. Not that it was much considering he was only like 5'4. With legs crossed he sat down. Contemplating what to do next.

Vi had been swimming out on the beach, mostly underwater because the sun was just going down. But then off in the distance she saw something strange, a human walking on water this peaked her interests and swam slowing over to the area, staying underwater. Then the water formed into a throne in which the person sat on. She guess from the lack of people freaking out that the beach was practically empty. She swam under the man, who didn't seem to notice her swimming under him, most people never bothered to look down. She swam so that she was infront of him under water, facing him. She rose her head out of the water up to half of her noise. She blew bubbles with her noise to get his attention.

Mostly the thoughts he had included returning to New York. Maybe hanging out with Jack. Getting to know him better and all that. Had to get to know his brother better after all. Having a brother had a ring to it. A certain incident that happened a while ago pushed from his mind. Head resting on the palm of his right hand. He sat there the brooding boy. Till the sound of bubbles caught his attention. How could there be bubbles? Sean looked down. Seeing the face of a girl? Well not what he expected to see in a place like this. though no need to be rude. His eyes glowed an icy blue while using his powers. Giving him an ominous feel. "Well hello there. I would venture to ask what brings you out here. though that would be rude i suppose." His voice was somewhat dreamy. Mostly due to the fact the happiness of him finding out this use of his power seeped into his voice. though he was speaking what was the word? Overly proper was it? He tended to do that sometimes when interupted from his little brooding sessions. Foot tapping against the water's surface. Waiting to see if she would answer. As he hummed silently the tune to an obscure fifties song he heard from a game he played once.

The man just asked who she was and what she was doing there. He sounded like he thought he owned the place. Which was wrong, really wrong. She made more bubbles with her nose as a response, to tick him off a bit. She smiled from under the water, not like he could see her smile. She lifted her tail out of the water and slammed it down. Making a large splash.

Sean noticed the tail . Eyes scanning the water curiously. Though all she did was blow bubbles in response. Though even if he was just buzzed his mind was quite fuzzy. Maybe the alcohol was just kicking in. A few droplet made their way to his left cheek. Which with a thought floated away. Dropping back intot he ocean. Icy blue eyes scanning the female face. Throne of water rippling for a second. "So your teasing me?" He shrugged. He took a reclining position. Getting more comfortable. "I'm just curious about what your doing. Not many people go out in the ocean this late. Well unless your one of those shady types, and you don't look like the type who would go out here to dump a dead body." He was making small talk to the mystery girl. Though Sean was just overall friendly when you found him with even a drop of alcohol in his body. Not that he couldn't be nice without alcohol. It sure did help.

With out a word Vi dropped back into the ocean and sped off behind the man. She turned around a once she was out of sight then sped back towards the man. She gain enough momentum to fling her half-naked body out of the water over the man, showing him her full body. But while she was over the made she forced the water he was sitting on down, back into normal water. She landed into the water in front of him with a loud and big splash. She then poked her head out of the water, just up to her the middle of her nose. The fin of her tail also came out of the water.

The girl moved pretty fast through the water. To him she was just a blur. Then the chair he made gave out. Causing him to fall back. Tentacles of water shot out. Moving in positions to break his fall. Pushing him to his feet. Sean looked warily at the girl. "Well that wasn't very nice. though i'm curious. Did you control the water?" He was interested now. Another person gifted with this power like him ? He allowed his finger tos linger on the hilt of the katana at his side. "though i'm curious. Are you a mermaid? Never met one myself, but i've heard about them before. Its kinda an upside to having a mom whos a witch." Sean was babbling. Not even phased by the fact she was half nude.

"I'm a stormwatcher it's what i do." said Vi popping her head fully out of the water. "Really you can't get? Half-naked attractive woman who speeds through the water and has a tail instead of legs? And you only think I'm a mermaid! Your a bloody genius." said Vi sarcastically. "And don't act like you own the ocean, it's not your to claim."

He raised an eyebrow at her. "I wouldn't call you attractive myself. Then again im not into women." He looked at her strange when she said he acted like he owned the ocean. "No I don't own it at all." He shrugged. As the water around them began to stir. "I just am a master of water. I may not own the ocea, but I can control it to a point. I would never make such a farfetched claim like that." Ripples formed from where he stood. Going out in a steady sort of rythem. "though I have to ask whats a stormwatcher? I'm not a mermaid so i wouldn't know."

"I see." said Vi. "Well i thought cause your mom watch a witch you would know what a stormwatcher is. Stormwatchers are the title for mermaids with hydrokentic powers, they're job is to help create or control or stop storm on the ocean. It's a trait passed through genetics, my mother was a stormwatcher as well as my grandmother. We learn to control the water, possible use it to get ride of enemies on the sea, It explains why some large human ships just sink through some explained reason." She swam up to the man. "I don't like having to look up... Get in the water and we can introduce ourselves." said Vi, not really giving him a choice. She lossened the water he was standing on, which she was sure would cause him to fall into the water.

The water gave beneath him. As he plunged underneath. Quickly he swam back up. Face to face witht he mermaid. "Well that was polite." He muttered. Having the water around his legs keep him from sinking. "Well i'm down here since thats what you wanted. Now we can get to introductions. My names Sean Collin. Though honestly my mother didn't focus much on mermaids. " He coked his head to the side. Lips pursing as he weighed the girl over. She seemed pretty adept in her power, but maybe not as strong as him in raw power. Fingers running over the silver ring on his left ring finger. The ring that gave him immense power. "So whats your name? After all i suppose its polite to tell me your name since i told you mine."

Vi smiled and swam around him playfully, splashing him with water. "I'm Viridiana." said Vi. "But everyone calls me Vi." She notice the ring on sean's finger. "Oohh... what's that?" said Vi grabbing his and and looking at this ring. "Ooh... this is pretty can i try it on?" She really didnt wait for an answer cause as soon as she said that she stared to try to force the ring off his finger.

"Wait no." It was too late she tryed to take the ring off. though he knew no matter how hard she tried. It wouldn't come off. The ring was bound to him. Sean ahd to willingly take it off, or allow it to be removed. "You can't take it off! Sean willed the water to push him back outta the girls grasp. Steadying himself about a foot away from her. "It a special ring. It only comes off if I allow it to be removed." He looked somewhat annoyed at the girl. Was she insane? Whatever it was he now wanted to know. Icy blue eyes scanning her. For any signs of hostility. While Sean wished she would put a shirt on.

Sean had sent himself back a foot backwards in the water. "Why?" she asked. "And I only wanted to see it I would of given it back." Then she noticed something, Sean wasn't treading water. "Your not treading water... can't you swim?" asked Vi then something clicked in her head. "And your being extremely protective of that ring and if you can't swim then that means that the ring is connected to your powers, so it's much more then a keep sake." She swam up closer to Sean with a questioning look on her face. "It would be weird if you had hydrokensis but couldn't swim."

Sean raised an eyebrow. A bit annoyed to say the least. "Yes I can swim. I assume anyone with this power can." He was slightly annoyed by this girl. Was she trying to start something? "Also i'm not a mermaid. I have to swim like every human does. Though my powers make it easier. Though don't get confused I can use my powers without the ring." Tonight was just a horrible night to be sure. First he meets some half naked maermaid. Now she tries to steal his ring. What next? A talking shark? Well be careful what you wish for. It may come true. Though it was highly unlikely they would meet a talking shark out here.
