Re: Day With A Dragon
Tony let out a laugh and just waved at everyone around him. He wasn't sure exactly what to say so he just followed the group out of the hospital and towards the van. He never did like hospitals. They were too sterile and clean for his tastes. Bad things happened in hospitals, and most of the time, he tried to keep himself a kilometres distance away from the place. He pondered the offer for a moment and then just shrugged. The facility might give him the opportunity to do more with what he had, after all.
"Well, why the hell not, I've got nothing to lose from this!" he said with a small grin. There was no reason not to follow the woman, and if anything were to go wrong, well, he could probably just run away. "Though I'm hoping none of this is a set up." He was still slightly sceptical about it all. An anonymous message, apparently sent to meta humans like him, and putting a bunch of them in a van to take to some place who knows where. It seemed like the type of thing where everything was just a hoax and it was all just a plan to lure them into one place and knock them out. The word 'facility' was something to be sceptical about too, but he decided to let it all slide for the time being.
"The name is Tony, by the way. And it's a pleasure to meet all of you!" he said, gesturing to himself as he said so. He thought it might as well be appropriate to introduce himself before getting into the van. It was always good to know who you were working with.

“Yes. People always say, Xiao is very tall for age.” Xiao responded to Darren, echoing something that was fairly obvious. She followed behind Jade, knowing the woman from before.
Once they were outside, she listened to Jade’s message, staying quiet and taking a while to fully understand what she was saying.
“Hello Tony. I am Xiaolongnu, I am from China.” She introduced herself to the taller boy who matched her stature.
She felt whatever Jade said meant well, and once she saw the car Xiao excitedly went over to the front passenger car. She eyed the vehicle and found it unthreatening, now that no masked men were leaping out and kidnapping her. She takes a moment to study the door before discovering how easy it was to open.
Without actually saying it, it seemed Xiao called shotgun, and was visibly happy to be in a car minus the abduction. She was giddy, and once Jade was seated, she simply explained her mood. “This is my first car ride, Jade-Sifu!” She looked around and looked at the dashboard, ignoring the built-in GPS screen as her curious hands checking the contents of the dashboard compartments. She found the car’s papers, a very thorough emergency kit, and a box of Mars Bars.
“Waaa! Is this the American chocolate? Can we have some, Miss Jade?” Xiao asked, her shyness having receded at the sight of food, especially these high fat calorie bars of sheer chocolate-nougat goodness.
Assuming everyone had gotten on board and was on their way, the GPS navigator on the dashboard would tell anyone that Beverly House was close by, only twenty minutes away in a quiet medium-residential area.
And, should there be no other stops; Beverly House would be in view, a modern high-rise condominium inside a gated compound. The area around the condominium had a strip mall, a farmer's market, a convenience store, a small park, and a sports center. The location could not have been more idyllic.
It would likely surprise the teenagers to see there were residents coming in and out of the rather small property, young professionals who were often away most of the day, going back home basically to just sleep.
The gate opened automatically at the van’s approach. Easily visible signs would say the parking lot would be behind the building, so that everyone who came in would get a good view of the place. Xiao visibly smiled and went wide-eyed at the large pool, surrounded by small but partitioned stone gardens.
“Whoa! A swimming pool!” She exclaimed, like a child in a candy store. Such things usually reserved for community centers in urban China, and she was often too shy to go in for a swim.
And finally, to welcome the teens, the Beverly House’s manager, a middle-aged Filipino-American in a business suit, greeted them as they disembarked from the Van. “Welcome dear children to Beverly House! I am the manager here, Laura Mendoza. I hope your stay will be most pleasant. ” the English accent of Filipinos was sharp and precise with their pronunciation, making communicating with them a breeze. She said this with a smile, though she was quite aware of the situation’s delicacy, and kept their arrival quiet.
By this time, Xiao's iphone received a message, while Jade's phone rang as Ellie had been electronically informed of their arrival. The agent it seemed, really was keeping a close eye on this project.

Re: Day With A Dragon
With a nod Jade climbed into the driver's seat and buckled herself in, noticing that there was a GPS system in the van. Huh, that would've saved her quite a bit of time if she had been aware of it. Who knew that picking up a group of super powered individuals caused one to have frayed nerves? Taking a deep breath, the woman tried to calm down before she ignited the engine and what not. She could do this, she had taken care of worst... alright, not really, but still, her ancestors had survived warring dynasties and an entire war, she could live with a group of teens. And when the House finally loomed before them, Jade swore that it was much bigger than when she left.
The van pulled up to the driveway and Jade exited the vehicle, picking up her phone as it began to ring and rushing inside, leaving the care of the children to the government handler that they must apparently need.
"Alright, I have the kids here and I've met your woman," Jade whispered into the phone as she entered the building and climbed up a flight of stairs to where her office would be, "Now I think we need to discuss some numbers before you hang up again. And I prefer that we do that in person, however I believe you called me for another reason so talk." There was a part of her that could not believe that she was speaking so harshly against a federal agent, but then again, she had done several things she never thought she would do in the last few weeks, and with anti-meta sentiment throughout the country, she supposed that it would be now or never.
