Take the chance when you can (Open)

Ari wasn't even looking back at the group as he began to walk towards his flip flops which he put back on immediately and wiggled his steel toes while doing so finding the sound they made to be amusing to him for a second. He was just about to walk out of the alley when suddenly the interestingly colored hair girl landed in front of him with winging sprouting from her back which definitely gave Ari a little bit of surprise which showed as he raised his right eyebrow almost comically. Now while the wings were an interesting bit Ari could not help but notice that she looked rather upset with him and he could not imagine why, perhaps she was mad because he didn't help with the children and what not he thought. He was just about to ask her what exactly was making her look at him with such dissatisfaction but she beat him to the punch by mentioning the few valuables that he took from the burning building.

Ari was again surprised as he honestly didn't think anyone had seen him doing that as he still didn't know that the winged girl had been following him until she found the little girl that she saved, now he had to think about what to say as she was definitely not going to just let this go most likely. But Ari wasn't really one for beating around the bush so he shrugged "honestly you can't prove these items aren't mine" he said in a cheerful tone as he held up his shiny silver finger with that gold ring upon it. "Perhaps I was just checking the rooms for people and you are accusing me of something I didn't do" he said in the same cheerful tone as he gave her a warm smile, he seemed so laid back and cheerful one might think he was simply chatting with an old friend rather than an angry young woman. "Now I need to go because" he stopped to think of an answer "well I just need to go as talking with you right now is rather boring, maybe in a few years when you are a grown woman we can have an interesting conversation" he said in a joking tone before walking towards her slowly, his plan was to walk right by her but he had to wonder if she would do something to stop him so he kept on his toes just in case.

Ari honestly did not care that the bird girl seemed so upset with him as well it wasn't really that big of a deal since it probably would have been burned or melted anyways but she seemed so intent on making him pay for stealing the stuff. The baton was electrical which he knew because of the humming and he would probably need to change his form to concrete or normal so it would affect him less as steel was definitely a good conductor for electricity and that would be bad for him. With the way she handle that baton and how she charged at him suddenly he pretty much figured out that she had some skill in fighting but he wasn't worried, she was acting like a bull charging in head first. 'Longer legs push kick forward with a steel foot retract back and go in for a spinning back heel kick to finish it off' he thought to himself calmly as he watched her coming forward. Though he tended to avoid confrontation when possible it didn't seem like the winged girl was going to give up if he just ran away and with her flying he doubted his ability to get away.

Though it seemed that lady luck was on his side as the oddly dressed hero or whatever he was jumped in front and grasped the bird girl up by her throat and said that what Ari did was his business. Ari smiled "I like you much more than her at this point" he said cheerfully before walking passed the two of them slowly, he had no reason to stick around or so he thought until the normal looking guy yelled out and used his ability suddenly. When the wave of heat came through Ari's didn't actually feel it in his steel form and he wasn't moved due to his extra weight in this form, then came the wall of heat that blocked his path. Ari sighed lightly before reaching forward to touch the heat wall and then laughed softly as he barely felt a thing, if he had been in human mode this kind of heat might have hurt him but other than that it was nothing her couldn't handle, he walked right through the heat wall without batting an eyelash "steel tends to be able to handle a lot of heat" he called back as he continued to walk down the alley slowly.

Ari honestly wasn't expecting to make friends with any of these people because well they all seemed rather boring, with his walk through the first heat wall he assumed that he was home free but another popped up to block him in the alley. He sighed a little bit before turning around to face the building that was across from the burning building they had all just gotten out of, "I think not hot head" he said in a jokingly tone before suddenly rushing the brick wall instead of going towards the others. Unlike them Ari did not care about keeping things safe he just cared about getting out of here now, his steel arms crossed over his head and he slammed into the brick wall easily smashing through it. Such a simplistic way of thinking he thought as he brushed off some of the brick dust, now if that guy were a half decent person he wouldn't use that kind of heat within a building as he might set it on fire and would that just be a shame he thought to himself jokingly as he walked through slowly.

Where he ended up was the ground level of a two story restaurant and once he passed through one door he was in the kitchen, judging from the majority of asian looking cooks he was going to assume that it was chinese restaurant or japanese. "Oh looky there orange chicken" he said happily as he took the very hot pan in one hand and began to walk away with it he popped a few pieces into his mouth quickly chewing at them "ugh panda express has much better orange chicken" he said mainly to himself though the stunned cooks could hear him as well. Since it wasn't worth eating he simply dropped the pan of orange chicken onto the floor letting it go to waste "do better" he said in a playful tone as he walked out of the kitchen now.

Ari was honestly not expecting anyone to follow him through the wall since they were all busy with each other so when he heard the winged girl yelling at him he was a little surprised, as he looked back he could tell that she was quite angry and ready to do something about it. While he had to admit that she was fast there wasn't much strategy to her sudden attack he thought, he took less than a second to react to the strike towards his chin simply ducking under the attack. Then instead of fighting he spun around so his back was facing her and he took off running at a speed that most humans would kill to have, while being attacked by winged girl he had heard and seen the heat manipulating guy very angry as well so it seemed he had two people after him rather than one. That was a big disadvantage and he did not plan on trying to fight them both, so instead he barreled through the wooden kitchen door into the main eating area and continued to run right through.

People, tables, chairs it didn't matter what was in the way Ari simply ripped through them without a problem making his way to the main doors and bursting through them to gain access to the outside world once again. Without even a bit of hesitation he took off through the busy intersection causing cars to swerve and some to crash into each other, he laughed lightly as he saw a pick up truck flip over a few times before landing back on it's wheels "you can still drive that!" he yelled jokingly back to the shocked looking guy behind the wheel. Honestly Ari wasn't sure if he had the speed to outrun all of them, he suspected that he wouldn't be able to outrun the winged girl simply because she would be able to fly over or around anything he had to go through to get away. But a one on one fight was not that big of deal, he just needed to up his chances of being able to win because trying to fight her and the heat guy would just be very troublesome especially since he didn't know if the suspicious looking guy would jump in as well.
