The road to godhood [Henry and possibly a hero]

Jeramiah stared at the woman. "You're very strange, you go from convincing, to blunt, to flippant, and I damn well can't get a handle on how you'll react to anything. You're crazy as hell and I get the feeling you'll discard me as soon as I stop being useful, but I see your point. Fine, I'll serve you, but on two conditions. you will never betray me. I'm functionally immortal, so that's a bigger promise than you may think; and two, you tell me what your whole plan is. Do we have a deal?"

Jeramiah bowed slightly and followed after her. He felt the pain in the back of his head dissipate quickly. He shook his head, this girl was crazy as hell, but she was willing to have him, and that was a first. At that moment, he didn't care if her plan would lead to mountain of bodies and an ocean of blood, so long as it meant he wouldn't be alone. "Yes M'lady." He said as they entered the elevator. "So, you said you'd tell me your plan, what is it?"

Jeramiah walked out behind her, scanning the area with his eyes, for the first time since he'd met this woman he actually cared whether or not she died. He walked up closer behind her, still scanning because -while she could no doubt handle herself- there were things that could take her down. He was mostly worried about snipers firing incendiary rounds, which any reasonable fighting force would have prepared by now given both this woman's powers and her immunity to standard ammunition, but he was prepared, it didn't matter if Feuer Zunge was a pistol, he could beat snipers with it with ease. After all, they couldn't shoot around corners. He smiled and leaned towards Anu "So, where do we go from here?" he asked "You say the first step is complete, what's next?"

Jeramiah followed her, an idea coming to mind.
"M'lady, I just thought of something, with your botanical knowledge and my marksmanship, we could craft special ammuntion for my guns. Something that combines our skills." he said, thinking about the potential uses.

"As well, what kind of garden do you require for these apples?"

"Understood M'lady" Jeramiah said with a slight bow, trailing behind her slightly. he quickly checked off all the things he'd need for the bullets.

"M'lady we should be careful, if the police show up then that may attract from forces greater than we can handle, and we can't have you dying on me, especially not since you're so close to your goal."

He looked around, briefly taking in how much things had advanced since his time, up until now he'd never really stopped to look, but this was amazing. Back in his day, horses had been the fastest thing around, but now they had cars and planes and a thousand other ways to get around, he wondered if -even through Anu's twisted eyes- the world might not be better off with a regression, especially considering how much easier it was to kill someone now. He made a mental note that if this plan actually happened, that Anu should spare some of the world's tech for use by her army. It took discipline to make an empire run, and the one with the bigger gun always was the one making the rules.

Jeramiah watched as the man landed and gauged precisely how many shots he could take before going down. He obviously weighed more than a normal human, seeing as he cracked the pavement. Jeramiah reached for his Feuer Zunge and one of his inscribed pistols while the man spoke, his tone jovial and unconcerned. He prattled on about some previous encounter with Anu before insinuating that Jeramiah was in a sexual relationship with her.

He was just about to whip out both his pistols when Anu began speaking, she seemed tense, though she was trying to mask it. Her words had a venom in them that was obvious but she didn't seem angry. Jeramiah took a few steps to his left before speaking.

"A pleasure to meet you young man. You and my mistress seem to know each other. I'm glad she has such nice people as friends" he said slightly sarcastic, smiling.

"Might I ask your business with her?" He inquired as he clicked the safeties on his pistols off. He had his Fenrir shells prepped and ready should the man attempt an attack on himself or Anu.

”You seem happier than when we last met. Since I’m not being thrown by my hair yet.” The 'goddess' said, leaning back on one of her stupid jungle-thrones.
"Plenty of time for that later, toots." Jack said shortly.
"So what does a hero as great as you want with me this fine day?” She followed up with, adding in that extra dose of veiled sarcasm, yum, delish. Still, it was kind of a recognition of his greatness, Jack guessed, and he knew how goddamn great he was. Real shame others couldn't appreciate it as much as he did.
He chuckled, swinging down his sword from his shoulder loosely. "Well, finally someone who gets me. About time don't ya think?"

Then dark, tall and stiff began to interject, being all polite and shit. Not that Jack couldn't appreciate it though, nah.
"Yeah, thanks man. You know, she's lucky to have me. I mean, a lot of people would want a piece of me, but I can't just dish out the antagonistic strife to just any poser on the streets, know what I'm sayin'?"

"But all that aside, you guys know why I'm here, right? Or are you honestly asking me without having a clue as to why I'm here? I mean, you came here to rob this here facility, blow it up, and didn't expect any opposition? Come on babe, don't be silly."

"Dein Wille geschehe" Jeramiah said as he pulled out his Feuer Zunge and fired 3 shots at the man. One was aimed for his leg while the other two went straight for his center of mass. "Milady! greifen die Beine, damit ich einen klaren Schuss bekommen können" Jeramiah yelled, his training from so long ago kicking in, though he spoke excellent english, his first language had been german and in such a stressful situation his brain clicked back to what had worked in the past.
