The road to godhood [Henry and possibly a hero]

Jeramiah looked at the facility that he and Anu were about to attack and frowned. He was tired of being a puppet for a country girl with delusions of grandeur. Checking his guns as they walked through the front door, he was sure this was gonna be another massacre.
"Hey, any way this could NOT be a bloodbath?"

Jeramiah raised an eyebrow at Anu. It never ceased to amaze him that she tried to treat him as something other than a puppet. He was still under the influence of her spores and so much as looking at her funny caused a pain response in his skull. "Sure, whatever." He said flatly as she opened the door into a room full of what looking like people floating in vats.
"So what do we have to grab while we're here?"

Jeramiah looked at the man, he was obviously terrified. Jeramiah pulled out one of his many inscribed pistols. (he'd gotten many with some of the money Anu had given him) and shot the man dead.
"I'm not a fan of senseless homocide but he would have just made our job harder." Jeramiah put his gun back in its holster and continued following her. "What are we looking for anyway, I thought you had what you needed from the other 10 or so facilities I robbed."

Jeramiah actually laughed, for the first time since his escape he laughed.
"And why would I do that? What do I gain by helping with your eco-terrorist plot to rule the world or whatever nonsense you keep saying?" he said as the door opened. They were in a long hallway, completely white. There were several men in the hallway, each armed with what appeared to be a heavy machine gun. Jeramiah grabbed Anu and put her to the ground as the bullets started in. "I don't care if you're normally bulletproof, those are armor piercing, and with that many, you're bound to get hit somewhere where you AREN'T bulletproof."
He pulled out his Revolver and sighed. "Sorry but you're going to need an upgrade." he sneered as the gun melted and shifted until it resembled a highly ornate desert eagle. "Stay down, I don't want to think about what'd happen if you died with your spores still in me. My head would probably explode or some such thing." he quipped as he popped up and fired 8 shots, killing most the men. He pulled out 8 bullets and watched a clip form around them. He slammed it into the bottom of his pistol and fired 8 more shots. This continued for several minutes until all the men were dead. "Now, about my earlier question, why in hell would I follow you willingly?" he said as he picked Anu up off the ground.

Jeramiah raised an eyebrow at Anu "A good heart you say, not sure where you're pulling that from. I've killed more people than you could count and sacrificed everyone close to me just to stave off the reaper's scythe."
He stared at all the bodies he had made as the blood leaked out of him. Though at one point he had enjoyed combat, after so long he was tired. He stared for several seconds before adding "No one has to die you say? How do you intend to pull that off?"

Jeramiah followed behind her in sort of daze. She was talking to him in a way he hadn't heard for most of his life, even among the Freischutz it had been little more than a strained partnership, there had been no love lost when the demon said to kill eachother. He sighed. "I sacrificed my wife and my daughter so I might live longer, I sacrificed them and over 100,000 other people. People who trusted me. People who looked up to me. I'm a monster bound for hell. You say even the purest soul can be corrupted? I'm more like one who was corrupt from the start. Still think I'm good?" He mused, ready for her answer. It would be the standard shock and disgust, and she would quickly try to kill him or lecture him or both. But he was prepared, however things went down, he was prepared.

"Heh, you're the first person who hasn't tried to lecture me about that in 400 years. So you say no more dying. How exactly do you intend to accomplish this?" He asked, her lack of judgement put him a bit more at ease, though he was by no means convinced. He was sure that her 'world without death' would mean a lot more death before none at all.
