On the run

Nightkill chuckled, and gave Mist the rabbit. He sat down. "Alright, you can play with him and name him, or do what you want, I have to work now." he said, standing up and walking into the basement.

Truth be told, his current work didn't have anything to do with the several companies he owned. He was currently investigating two things.

1. The possibility of taking over some countries, increase his power for when he finally took over the world.
2. Mist's parents.

He was looking for the second right now. He needed to talk with them. The talk included possibly punching them in the face. He also needed to know if Mist's powers were genetic, and what they might become or surpass.

The punch in the face was also very important.

He had some of Mist's DNA from healing her leg, and he also looked for people born around the same time that Mist was dropped at the orphanage. He sat in his chair, and surfed the Net in his head.

Mist squeezed the rabbit and petted it on the head over, and over again. Nightkill left her alone while he went to research in the basement, though he said he could do that in his cybernetic mind. Maybe he's on 'dial-up' or something, even though she didn't understand the term, she giggled to herself.

(No, I meant as in, you the person, can decide if they're alive or not, and where they are.)

Nightkill grinned. He finally had a hit. But it required him going to California for a while. The question was- did he bring Mist?

He considered this. John could probably take care of her, but what those hunters came and she got in trouble?

Becoming sentimental, old chap? he thought.

He supposed he was. He got up, and came back into the room. "Hey, Mist, you want to go to Disneyland?" he asked. He could probably have her be there for a while, and when she was asleep at the hotel there, he could visit David Morgan. She'd be safer in California, since those men after her would never suspect she was across the country.

She was quite occupied with the rabbit, it basically had her undivided attention. She heard Nightkill though. "Hmm... Disneyland. Is it a beach?" She took her attention away from the rabbit to look up to Nightkill incase he nodded his head.

"Can Herbie come?" She raised the rabbit up in the air, smiling approvingly.

Nightkill chuckled. "His name's Herbie?" he asked. "Well, I suppose he can come, but you'll have to take care of him." he said. "I'll get us a flight tommarow, be ready to wake up early."

"Okay, sounds like fun!" She continued petting the rabbit and making its ears fold back. She hadn't ventured outside New York. Ever. Sure, she has read and heard about other places. But she had always been hidden away at the orphanage. She'd love to see a new environment and atmosphere of people.

Nightkill nodded. "Good." he said. He had already made ticket arrangements, the plane left the next day.
