Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

On the run
Running for her life, Mist bolted through the busy New York City. A few paces behind her was some sort of bounty hunter trying to catch her and turn her into the police. She had never felt this much adrenaline or panic. Her small frame weaved in and out of people as she tried to push through crowds and get a distance on the Hunter, who pushed through the crowds trying to catch up.
Once both of them got through the crowd of people, the hunter pulled out a bola (Three metallic balls chained together. When thrown, they usually wrap around a targets arms or legs and renders them immobile.) and whipped it at Amy's legs. When they snagged onto her legs she yelped and fell to the concrete, scraping her knees and palms. The hunter ran towards her to bind her and capture her. Quickly, she shifted into a cloud-like mist and the trap fell off her legs. She quickly transformed back to her flesh and bones form, got up, and started running again. The hunter was hot on her tracks.
Turning down an alleyway, she looked behind to see how far away he was but stumbled over some trashcans and fell down. The hunter dove ontop of her, pinning her to the ground, trying to bind her hands with wrist cuffs.
"Oomph, let me go! I can explain everything!" She wailed, trying to push him off. She shifted back into a misty cloud. The hunter who was trying to pin her down fell face first onto the ground. She wriggled free and got back up to her feet and took off running, changing back into her regular self.
"I grow tired of these games..." The hunter said. He pulled out a small 9mm pistol with a silencer to suppress the sound in the populated city. He fired a shot with her back turned, and the bullet pierced her upper calf.
Mist fell to the ground and wallowed in pain, tears welling up in her eyes. She had never been shot before, is this what it felt like? What did she do to deserve this life? Why was the world so cruel? The hunter got to his feet and slowly walked towards where Mist laid on the ground, nursing her wounded leg.

(Was initially a starter for me and Nightkill. But if Nightkill doesn't mind, you can too.)

Re: On the run
(Eh, sure)
Nightkill had been taking a walk in NYC. New York was the location of one of his several homes, and he quite liked this one.
It began snowing, snowing lightly, but Nightkill knew it would get worse later. Better get home soon.
Nightkill was in a good mood today. He had recruited a member into SCAR, and found some information on biochemistry and nuclear physics which would aid his research.
He stopped. Crying. He heard crying.
He began walking down an alley, brushing snow out of his hair. He saw a little girl, with a bloody leg, crying. He walked toward her. "What happened?" he asked. He was sincerely curious, wondering who was around shooting people in New York. May be a potential threat or ally. But he didn't approve of killing children. Besides this certain Thunderbrat he knew at the beginning of his career.

Re: On the run
"Don't bother, she's a murderer." Came a response from behind Mist. It was the hunter with a smoking 9mm pistol. "Don't underestimate her, she's a mutant. They're capable of killing us normal kind with their powers. And she's got some strange ones."
The hunter put the pistol back in its holster and pulled out some handcuffs. Mist crawled with her hands, dragging her legs, trying to get away from the Hunter and towards Nightkill. She looked back at the hunter in pure terror of getting "locked up forever". "I didn't mean to, he was trying to kill me!" She turned to Nightkill. "Please believe me..."
The hunter rolled his eyes. "Tell it to the judge kid. I'm only a delivery boy."

Re: On the run
Nightkill's eyebrows widened. "A mutant? Strange..." he turned to Mist. "Who did she kill?" he asked.
He also stood up, and picked Mist up. "Your leg will require medical attention." he said softly. "Sir," he said toward the Hunter, "What powers does she have?"

Re: On the run
"Doesn't matter who she killed, does it? Murder is murder. She keeps turning into a fog of mist or something, it gets extremely irritating trying to capture her."
Nightkill then picked up Mist. "Hey hey hey, I caught her first. I hope you're putting her in my transporting vehicle. You want the bounty you can look for someone else. Plenty of scum in the streets."
Mist was looking around trying to find an escape route that didn't require her running on her legs. She was out of options, Nightkill seemed to be her only ticket out of here if he defied the hunter. "I was attacked I tell you! The gun was his! The one I used. I can't possibly find a gun on my own." Her leg was throbbing in pain. She wanted to get out of here and fast.

Re: On the run
Nightkill looked at the Hunter. "When you say she has powers... does it mean something like this?" he asked, an energy blast charging up in his hand.
His scorpion-tail then protruded from his back, and appeared in front of Mist, guarding her.
"I'll give you a five minute head-start." he said.

Re: On the run
The hunters eyes widened at Nightkills display. His armament wasn't exactly 'up to par', but Nightkill would have to fight one-handed if he planned to keep Mist with him. Unless, of course, he put Mist down. The hunter calculated his odds, then backed out of the alley slowly with his hand on his 9mm pistol. Once he was in the clear, he took off in another direction.
Mist wrapped her hands around Nightkills neck, in what seemed to be either a hug or a sense of security she found in him. "Don't take me to the hospital, they'll find me. I don't know what I'm doing, I just need to get out of here until they forget about me. Please help."

Re: On the run
Nightkill nodded, and looked at his watch. "Five minutes, five seconds, I'm not too good at math." he commented, and began searching for the Hunter. "Getting you to a hospital won't be required, girl. I'm a doctor." he said, grinning.

Re: On the run
The hunter was walking on the street with his hands in his pockets. He was so close, only to be stopped by a 'do-gooder' who felt like protecting the criminal. Maybe he'd call the police and tell them of the kids location, and he could get a "finders fee" at minimum. Nightkill came into his view, searching for him.
"He was serious about the 5 minutes?" he thought to himself, then took off running towards his vehicle, a pickup truck with a cage big enough to fit any sized human he caught on the back.

Re: On the run
Nightkill saw the Hunter and grinned. He then noticed the girl was bleeding more heavily than before. Nightkill was caught in a problem. He could save the girl, or kill the Hunter.
The girl may prove a useful tool, and he could always kill the Hunter later.
Flipping the Hunter the bird with his free hand, he proceeded to run toward his house.
It was an entire building which he owned. They arrived in ten minutes. "Relax, it'll be fine." he muttered to the girl. He began walking toward his lab, typing in the access code at the front door.

Re: On the run
Mist was being hauled along by Nightkill. For someone of his type, an intimidating man who stood up to a 'man of law' in some respects, she found it strange she would be taken to his lair of sorts. Did he trust her? It wasn't really the biggest issue on her mind, with her leg constantly in pain from the gunshot wound.
"Thank you... I didn't want to go to jail." she said. "Why did you stand up for me? Didn't you hear him? They think I'm a murderer. It's all over the news..."

Re: On the run
Nightkill snorted. "If you are a murderer, then there's more reason for me to help you. Murderers aid each other, eh? But" he said, becoming deadly serious. "I do not approve of hurting children." he said.
"Also, your powers interest me. You're young, you can grow. You can get more powerful." he explained, as they reached his lab.
It looked like a cross between a mad scientist's lab and a hospital room. Nightkill placed the girl on the table. "Tell me," he asked, "What's your name?" he said, as he was looking at how serious the wound was.
