Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia) Empty Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia)

"Why is no one answering my texts?" The bright screen of her phone flashed across her face. "Are they super ghosting me? It doesn't say Tori saw it." Bliss dropped her phone on the table, letting it roll by her. Something about this power plant felt off. Two decades ago it ran afoul of safety regualtions. The fines eventually caused it to go into default, and eventually, it shut down.

Or, at least that was the story everyone knew. A few weeks ago the power plant sparked back to life. No one knew why. And, no one wanted to check. Some weird lights would pop up, some noises would scare people off, and no one from the media would go near it. This led Bliss to doing a little investigating herself. She checked in with sources who looked into the power plant story.

Bliss flicked her wand around in her hand. For all the technology contained within, most people would assume the nanobots could change organic structure, reorganize metals, or filter toxins out of the air. Nope. This wand would change Bliss' clothes into a magic girl outfit. A silver and black one, but still. She checked her phone as she waited one more time.

A buzz finally came to her phone. "Took long enough." Bliss looked down to her phone. Nothing from Tori or Mitsuko. Instead a data file began to download. It took a few seconds and the updating of a few apps finally helped it out. "This is not a text. And, that place is not a power plant."

For a few decades, the facility used nuclear power, but not for public use, but instead for research of weapons and development of meta power enhancement. What that meant for the investigation, Bliss did not really know, but what it meant for Tori and Mitsuko whom Bliss sent to check it out in person, she knew even less. And, Bliss knew that would spell trouble.

"Gotta do this myself.
" Bliss flipped her wand around, transforming her outfit into her work outfit. "That is a little messed up they aren't texting. I'm not sure if I want it to be because they are ghosting me or they've been captured. Captured. I'm fun to hang out with."

Whether or not any of her premonitions were true, something inside the power plant came to life. A low light hidden by trees and seclusion, but a light still flickered inside of the buildings next to the towers of the nuclear plant. Bliss ducked behind a tree, took out her phone, and placed it behind a tree. If someone captured Tori and Mitsuko, it was possible they could track Bliss' phone.

Ice formed around the lock at the front gate, making it easy for Bliss to pop the gate open. Her boots stepped along the overgrown sides of the concrete pavement, trying to keep as little sound coming from her steps as possible. The power plant itself looked like a normal two story building with offices lining each side. The two cooling towers remained close to the office with a regulator facility running into the building. The schematics Bliss was sent revealed one of the towers as a false face though. The regulator facility would run an elevator down to a secret basement facility capable of conducting any number of experiments for both weaponry and meta research.

If Bliss wanted to get to the bottom of this. She would need to get to the bottom of the facility.

Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia) Empty Re: Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia)

Post by ghost August 8th 2018, 8:03 pm

The squeaks of a mouse filled the room, it was louder than normal in the hollowed out cavern. Wyifa sat on a diamond throne against a wall, she looked down with her bright green eyes, intent on what the animal was saying.

"-so they decided to turn it back on. You have to do something! I can't just watch as another litter comes out all wonky from this machine!" The mouse finished its rather long-winded story about a nuclear power plant.

Wyifa nodded, listening to every peep. "Now you don't worry your little whiskers, Kit. I will take care of this building for you." Her tone was as if speaking to a child, but the mouse gave no outward signs of concern. In his eyes as long as the situation was dealt with he did his part.

The mouse scurried across the ground, starting its long trek back home. It had traveled miles in order to request this of Wyifa, but he knew it was worth the trouble. As he left, began to head north, he practically had a heart attack as wind from Wyifa's eagle like wings pushed against his small body.

It would take the mouse days to return home, but Wyifa could get the problem solved within hours. She only needed to find this nuclear power plant. As she soared across the sky, her massive wings pushing her along the gentle breeze, two large cooling towers came into view. This had to be the location. She glided around looks abandoned almost. She came down for landing, the eagle form shedding away in moat of leaves and dirt, only a small mouse remained on the ground. In this form she could remain hidden, start from the bottom of the facility and work her way up killing as I go, a grin ruffled the mouse form's whiskers.

Sneaking into one of the many holes in the foundation of the building it was easy to get inside. The walls were wide and seemed to be made of brick. Long lines hung above her head as she scrambled through the narrow passage ways. She didn't really have a good idea of where she was at, but other mice gave her directions when needed. Peeps and squeaks pointed her down long  engraved passageways and holes that were so worn into the compact stone above it seemed to be built in. She tumbled around but eventually made her way to the basement.

It wasn't exactly what she had pictured. This facility was much larger than what she had expected, and it seemed to get more and more busy the deeper she went. People with hard hats and white lab coats ran around. She was nosing her way around a big metal box. I suppose I could start here.

"It seems we'll be up and running soon, but till then the lights will flicker on and off for awhile." One of the men in the room spoke. "Just tell boss its not a big deal, you know how he gets." The other man nodded in agreement, then left without a word. The room seemed empty now.

Gaia's paws could feel bits of dirt and sand under them, no doubt the floor was riddled with peaces of rubble and small bits of dirt that accumulated over the years with no janitors. She gathered as much sand and stone from within the wall as she could, pulling it like a vacuum, her form grew. Massive in comparison to the mouse, her gentle lady features filled out perfectly. Her naked figure could no longer fit between the wall and the metal box, she appeared behind the man, more sand scattered across the ground. She tapped him on the shoulder. "What are you doing?" She said in a cute, quizzical tone.

"Wha!? Ummm..." The worker stumbled, no doubt trying to find the words as his eyes fell on her body. "Your not allowed down... um... here." his tone seemed froggy and uncertain.

She only grinned. Watching the man's eyes, she lifted her hand as if to touch his cheek. When he went to lean in for a kiss. what?! An angered expression uglied her face. The man shifted and with a quick jerk of her hands, one grabbing his chin the other the backside of his head, she twisted. He fell dead to the ground.

She noticed where she was. The room was full of electronics, pulsing wires and whining machines. She knew the facility would be powered, but the scene was too much, she underestimated how easy this was going to be. No matter Her focus seemed to jar. With a quake a pillar of rock burst from the wall behind her. She had meant for it to come through the ground I can work with you. She looked at the wall of stone, meaning to draw diamond, her favorite.

She looked at the coils before her, each arcing with electricity. Anger engulfed her and control was swept away in it's wake. The rock pillar shifted and turned to a ninety degree angle, pushing through the coils. It spun about and pierced them madly till all the power seemed to be gone from the machine.

The room was a left in a heap, at least in the eyes of an engineer. She was happier now. Beginning to pull soil from the hole in the wall and cover the ground. She welcomed the feeling of earth between her toes. Plants grew around her in moments, some pushing through the concrete below, sending cracks throughout, then the cracks seemed to fill with green leaves and moss along the walls.

As this was happening two ladies barged through the door. Wyifa was surprised they could open the door; there had to be four inches of growth blocking it. But none the less two girly figures stood there looking at Wyifa. Before they could say anything vines wrapped an whipped around their wrists and ankles, pulling them tight and looping around them in massive waves.

"Now... what do we have here?" Wyifa said as she walked toward the two.

Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia) Empty Re: Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia)

Post by Bliss August 9th 2018, 8:09 am

"This place is supposed to be shut down. What's up with all the lights?" Ever since the incident with the Orb, Tori could no longer use her aquatic abilities to the strength they once possessed, but the young hero still could throw her weight around when called upon. She forewent any super costume and instead just kept to a plaid red and white checkered shirt with a pair of jeans hugging her waist. Her hair remained pulled back into a ponytail. "And, I can hear other people."

"We should be more quiet."
Already hidden, Mitsuko stuck her head out. In her downtime, Mitsuko fashioned herself a costume for uses just like this, but Tori's reluctance to wear anything other than her normal attire put Mitusko in  an awkward spot. One day she would showcase it, but it would not be today. No one wants to be the only person wearing a costume. Instead, she just kept up with a yellow sweater and a pair of jean capris. "And, by we, I mean you."

"Don't worry about it. If anything around this place gets out of control, I can deal with it."
The confidence Tori brought with her came from a great place of power. Unfortunately, someone destroyed that place of power, so now, most of her confidence just came from some minor control over water and kelp. "Your sis will back us up pretty soon."

Feeling sure of herself, Tori made her way through a stairwell with Mitsuko in tow. A calamity rang through the metal walls, echoing some degree of involuntary movement. "Must be construction or something. Giving the place a facelift."

"I think we can tell Bliss that and she'll be happy." Mitsuko started to take off before Tori grabbed her by the back of her sweater.

"Bliss will be happy when we tell her exactly who is down here." Tori pulled Mitsuko with her as they both stepped out of the hallway and into a room covered in dirt. "Not what I was expecting."

Vines invaded their personal space upon arrival. Different strands took away the freedom of movement in both girls wrists and ankles, rendering them unable to escape or fight. Leaving them with the worst of options: dealing with a captor.

"Hey, you know I like what you're done with the place." Tori shook her head as her voice tried to be confident yet accommodating. "I didn't like the whole secret base inside a nuclear power plant thing they wanted."

"I'm Mitsy and this is Tori." Mitsuko tried to move her hands up, but the vines pulled her back down. "We're looking for something for my half sister. Your vines are impeding us. Could you release them?"

Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia) Empty Re: Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia)

The vines tightened around them at the words. "And why should I do that? This place has been abandoned for some time now, at least that is what my little birdy told me." She giggled, "Mouse rather." She walked toward them, noting their figures. They were pretty ladies she couldn't deny that. "What exactly are you looking for?" She questioned. "I am half tempted to kill you right now. So please, do speak quickly. After all, your not the only ones I have to deal with tonight."

As the last word left her mouth Wyifa, with a flick of her wrist, pinned the ladies to the far wall. The vines pulling them about like rag-dolls and sliding above the dirt covered floor; wrapping around them in more thick waves till they looked like green mummies with bare skin heads. They blended into the deep green of the leaves, leaving only a faint body shape in a lighter green with their heads showing.

Before the ladies began to talk Wyifa looked over her shoulder. Five bulky shapes formed from the dirt behind her. As dirt fell away from the appearing forms only humanoids were left. All of them carried a sword, it was made from dirt, but compact enough to play well even with steel. "Go, kill all in this building. I will be with you momentarily." Her gaze fell back on the ladies as screams filled the corridors of the facility. "You were saying?"

Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia) Empty Re: Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia)

Post by Bliss August 9th 2018, 8:01 pm

The power plant popped to life, sending Bliss into a more stealthy state of operation. Her shadow crept along with her as they neared a staircase together. A number of calls for the situation went out. A great deal of uncertainty gave Bliss a pretty clear certainty of something awful unfolding beneath her in the tunnels.

Once her hand took the handle, the calamity turned more dire. The situation given out came in the sounds of screams of pain. Gun fire joined in with the distinct sound of skewering. Never in her life did Bliss really think to herself she would be able to tell what a skewering sounded like, but it now remained in her head.

The first clank of her boot rang out with far more tremble than she intended. She flicked her wand, lowered the heel of her boot and rubbered out the sole. Her second step sunk gently into the grate, keeping her descent masked nicely under the sound of combat. No one else made their way through the stairs, but a slumped body sent a special warning to Bliss.

A pair of thuds boomed along the hall. Always in the same accordance of time. "It doesn't sound like they have shoes on, but they are definitely moving one foot in front of the other." A hand full of ice formed in Bliss' hand. "Let's see what we're dealing with."

Tall, dark, and dangerous. Not a combination unfamiliar to Bliss. A golem, or construct, or simulacrum, all different names, but pretty much the same game plan. "Is that dirt? Are you made of dirt?" Most likely a response would not come, but Bliss did not wait for one. She went to work drawing up a dirt shield on between herself and the golem, then prompting detonated it with a telekinetic blast. Once she grounded the creature, she would begin icing over the creature to subdue it- and see if it dissolved.

"Mitsy." Tori felt the vines creep around her. "Stop asking her to do things for us. It never works."

Mitsuko tried to keep her legs from locking with each other, but her try was very weak. "I'm sorry. We're sorry. But, we're not with the other guys. We're trying to find out what they were doing here. Did they make you?"

"Oh my god, Mitsy. Stop." Tori rolled her head over to Mitsuko.

Mitsuko kept her head straight forward. "I talk when I'm nervous. I think I'm holding it together well."

Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia) Empty Re: Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia)

Post by ghost August 9th 2018, 8:38 pm

Dirt shattered in front of the dirt soldier, forcing it back. It's body drifted across the ground and before it could react it was enveloped in ice, frozen in time.

"Make me?" Wyifa asked the woman, "No, Mother did that. But enough of this." She waved her hand dismissively. "I will leave you for later. While I'm gone, answer these questions: Would you like to live forever? Would you like to see this planet returned to its original state? And consider yourselves lucky, no one else here is going to survive after tonight. You can join with me or die like everyone else." She walked away with a smile. Vines pushed across the girls face's, covering their mouths and ears, leaving only the nose to breath through as they were pulled into the wall.

Wyifa walked toward the door pushing dirt out before her. Trailing the wave was a lush blanket of green grass and flowers blooming. Two orange flowers also bloomed in the room. They were large, about five feet tall with thick stems. In the center of the flowers was a stinger looking projectile, it would penetrate and pump a noxious poison into the target, if anything were to disturb the captives.

As Wyifa walked down the hallway she started to pull pillars of stone through the walls, aiming for the building's support beams and cornerstones. The dirt on the floor, though it rushed under her didn't seem to disturb her footing. The waves pushed doors open and engulfed the people that it ran into, muffling the screams as grass and flowers grew above their bodies.

Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia) Empty Re: Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia)

Tori and Mitsuko both found themselves completely under wraps with vines. "Those sound like pretty good deals said in a very nefarious way, but I think we can- oh, vines." Tori tried to dodge the vines encroaching on her jaw line, but eventually found the vines engrossing her mouth. "No, no, nomph." Tori could only keep her head looking forward once the vines rooted her to the back of the wall. Any of the questions presented to her would need to go through her mind quietly unless Mitsuko and her wanted to try and guess what the other had to grunt about.

The creature before her stopped moving. Bliss knew better than to breath any sigh of relief before she found her counterparts. A clot of dirt fell from above, hitting Bliss on the head. A low rumbling echoed through the walls. Then came a crashing. And more screaming. "None of those were feminine. Still a chance. I just need to figure out what is behind all of- oh, what?"

A wave of dirt, grass, and flowers swept towards Bliss, blasting doors off their hinges. A barricade of ice would surround Bliss, keeping her safe from the invasion of dirt. With a telekinetic blast, Bliss would try to free herself as well as blast a major hole within the dirt to give her an opening out.

Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia) Empty Re: Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia)

Post by ghost August 10th 2018, 5:15 pm

The dirt mounded around Bliss for a moment. Some of it turned to ice particles, whiting as it hit the barrier, then the waves continued to pour around her. When the ice shattered the river of dirt gaped. For a second the tiled ground could be seen but it was quickly covered as the river continued to pulse through the building, rushing back toward Bliss in the same speed as before.

Wyifa turned the corner. Now adorned with a long green dress that seemed to be undisturbed by the rushing grass that she walked on. It was tight around her waist, an ornate sliver belt held it there. The cuffs around her hand's were wide with white ornate lacing that hung a few inches from her wrist. The collar was modest, ending only an inch from the neck and made a V shape that shown little cleavage. Her long dark hair hung about her shoulders and green eyes peered in front of her.

A woman stood in the hallway as dirt rushed toward her. The thought of seeing her buried made Wyifa's smile stay on her face. Her hands at her side, she pulled green moss and leaves up from the ground and along the wall as she walked.

Her initial stalwart defense against the dirt made an impact, but the sea of dirt refused to part so easily. Bliss just managed to get more ice up to give herself a small chamber in the sea of dirt. This did not look good. If whomever generated and filled the area with this much dirt could keep it coming, meeting them underground would be the worst mistake Bliss could make. As more and more dirt covered her shell, Bliss knew it.

Her breath began to form in the dropping temperatures of her refuge. She did not make any hasty decisions to explode the barrier this time. All in all, she barely got it erected in time for her to stay safe. She needed her ice to work some benefit. She could turn the dirt to mud, but whether that turned an idea into a good idea still existed outside of the scope of her mind.

The area inside of her cocoon gave her a little room to wiggle. Her ice could begin to soften some of this dirt into mud, making it easy for her to begin drilling through it. Yes, this idea was in fact a plan. Whether it was a good idea or a good plan, still unknown.

Bliss ducked down. She filled the top foot of her cocoon off from the rest the chamber. With the dirt beginning to soften, Bliss started pushing an apex point of ice directly towards where she remembered the wall being. When she could feel enough of her ice push through, she focused a telekinetic blast to break the top part of her barrier, letting the dirt and mud transpose itself into the newly open portion of the room. She then burst forth the wall she was pushing against. Both of her new walls now established the dimensions of her shell.

All in all, she advanced a foot towards the wall. It would be some time before she could make an attempt at trying to pierce the wall and infiltrate the spaces between the walls. But for now, she could keep pushing.

Wyifa stood there, the grass lightly moving under her feet as she watched. Ice seemed to encapsulate the woman before the dirt could get to her. She was so busy she didn't even see Wyify turn the corner, or was too worried about getting pulled under the ground to care.

Wyifa watched the woman. Wondering what she would do I can give her a minute or two. Crossing her arms under her breasts as she intensified the wave. The grounded seemed to heave as a three foot mound crashed into the ice, then again with another, and another. Every other second a wave would hit. The clumps of dirt that jetted off them scattered about the moving grass, then vanished, being pulled along.

*She wasn't about to surround the capsule just yet, crush it like a twig. She could do with a challenge, though her time was short, she could feel the anxiety build in her chest. After making promises she tried her hardest too keep them, But maybe he will understand, after all he'd like to see these people suffer just as much as I Her thoughts trailed on, creating more excuses.

(OOC: I'm going to put asterisk next to things to remember in the future, for character building. You can pay no mind to em.)

Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia) Empty Re: Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia)

This. Was. Taking. Forever.

"I don't normally complain..." Bliss squatted down to crab walk under the ice barrier for the seventh time, or maybe eight, probably not nine, her thighs were burning for than six though, so... "But, this stupid dirt is the most annoying thing I've had to deal with in- I don't know, like three days. Or was it four? Couldn't be more than two. What did I do last week? Do I have plans for next week?"

Bliss finally made her way to the wall. She banged her head against the wall, letting out a loud thud in the ice chamber, but mostly likely drowned out by the dirt mound surrounding her. "Ow." Her posture straightened up. Another thud came from her head hitting the top of her little chamber. "I hate this..." A blast of telekinesis broke the bearings in front of her. "...Wall."

The opening allowed Bliss enough wiggled room to slip through. Her dumb slow moving plan finally gave her some headway to advance. Now, she just needed to find a room not entirely filled with dirt. She assumed it would not be hard; just punch a hole in a wall and move right through. It was a little more complicated than that. Not for lack of trying, but for lack of not trying hard enough to break through not just a wall, but also the vines on the other side of it.

She put in the effort and hopped out the other side. The side where she found Mitsuko and Tori wrapped up with not a lot to say about it.

Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia) Empty Re: Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia)

...Rain started to trickle outside as a natural storm front pulled in. The sound of rain on steel sent echos through the surrounding area.

The floor in the main room, the room with Wyifa's captives, was covered in soft grass and flowers. Two large orange and yellow bloomers that were held up with thick stalks stood before the ladies, each pointing a nasty looking dart at them. The flowers might be hard to notice in such a greenery, tucked away in the corners of the room and with such an array, they may seem like just another pretty daisy.

Wyifa laughed then finally pushed a giant wave of dirt at the ice capsule. It shattered easily but instead of blood She saw nothing but a hole in the wall. Irritation wrecked her face. Her pretty green dress flickered to red and she stomped toward the room. Summoning two large golem like creatures before her, one holding an axe, the other a sword. Its time to end this... She thought as the grass shifted away slightly.

Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia) Empty Re: Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia)

Bliss crawled through the wall, rolling into a subterranean grassy field. "Weird, but still not completely out of the ordinary for today." When she began to stand up and wipe loose grass off of her skirt, she heard a muffled signal for assistance.

Tori and Mitsy muffled through the vines wrapping around their mouths, not the tightest part of the wrappings, but the ones currently keeping them from communicating fully with Bliss.

"Oh what's that? Does mumble wumble mean do everything? I agree. I should do everything." Ice would shoot up in front of the darts, hopefully keeping them in place, and at worst, knocking their trajectory off. A line of ice would then crawl along the edge of the vines, allowing the girls to push against the vines, giving them a shot at escape. "I'm not doing everything. Be the protagonist of your own life."

Part of Bliss wanted to help everyone, but she also heard a booming sound making its way to her. "Get out faster! Bad things are coming. Badder things. Everything down here is bad!"

Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia) Empty Re: Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia)

The large flowers sat pointing direct at the two captives. When the temperature of the vines dropped suddenly two large stingers darted toward them. One pierced into an ice barricade, the other bounced off and stuck into the wall only feet from the targets. The flowers closed.

One of the large stone golems turned the corner. They where only a little larger than the normal male, the stone making their attacks a bit sluggish but far more devastating. After seeing the young woman he pulled at his large two headed axe, a swing from his side sent it horizontally through the air, sure to touch home if his target didn't move. If dodged he would follow up with a downward strike it into the dirt.

After the first swing of the axe the second golem would walk in holding his sword at ready. Quickly rushing over to the other side of the room to prevent any attempt of escape. He watched the fight unfold, if the lady got too close he two would strike, thrusting his sword through her.

Wyifa turned to corner to watch. Noticing the ladies struggle she added vines to the wall and tightened the ones that where there. "Why all this fuss? Can't we just be friends?" She questioned as the attacks ensued.

Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia) Empty Re: Nothing Works Like a Nuclear Nature (Gaia)

"Well that was close." Bliss looked at the sharp flower resting between Tori and Mitsuko's head. "But, all's well that- be right back." She began raising a wall of ice while putting a finger to gesture the duo to wait. "Don't get captured, and you can plan out the next operation."

The first golem rushed her. It moved with considerable force considering its make and overall creation. But, Bliss knew the pride of the golem would come before its crash. A pillar of ice rose just in the crest of the swing. Not blocking the impact of the shot, but colliding with the golem's elbow once the swing reached its apex. Once it made contact, Bliss could easily just duck and roll, and move on to the next target.

The rocky make up of the golem gave her options, but Bliss always liked the path of least resistance. Or, at least the one that iced over the knee and elbow joints of the golem. With those parts frozen over, Bliss could focus on taking down the creature with a telekinetic blast. One aimed at every place she froze over.

Once the henchmen were dispatched, Bliss could turn her attention to the entity entering the room. "Oh we can talk. I just needed to even the number of voices in the room. So, what's with the power plant and why are my friends tied up?"
