The pillar to Heaven built in Hell Empty The pillar to Heaven built in Hell

Post by Cerek May 6th 2017, 1:45 am

The only cliche this bastion of the guilty was missing was lightning, thunder and an ominous sound effect. The great jail built, owned and funded by Orion dubbed "Citadel 77" stood as a great fortress. From barbed wire to electric fence every conventional, practical obstacle had been put in place to keep the inmates in. Cebra entered through a side door dressed in a security uniform and escorted by another guard. When inside he is led passed cells, row upon row of less than pleasant looking convicts. The grim looking guard points to a large steel double door and scowls at Cebra

"Just wait right here kid, Warden'll be by in a minute to get you sorted".

Cebra meets Warden Grosmire in his office, the conversation is short and bitter. Cebra is to be a guard on the South east detention block, that's where MDU (meta detention unit) is and where Cebra's targets are. Of course Cebra had planned things to go this way hacking into the Orion security guard training center database. Cebra got himself situated and familiar with his route on the first day, in the next couple of days he got familiar with most of the facility and it's workings. When patrolling his block Cebra took note of the four people on his list he wanted to free, one he already knew. On the day of the prison break Cebra managed to set everything up rather perfectly. He had placed small explosive charges on the North east wall between some cracks in the concrete. The security systems were given a virus designed to shut it all down at twelve midnight effectively shutting off cameras and lights. The cell doors will then open from lack of power, that's when things get dangerous. Cebra will need to find the four people on his list and get out before authorities show up or one of the inmates turns on them. The clock winds down the day as the hour grows near.

ugh, where's Perry Mason or Matt Murdock or any other fictional lawyer that always wins when Jeannie needed them?

Attempting to collect the bounty on some mobsters ended in a big gun fight and one of the cops mistake her for one of the gang members not wanting to hurt a cop just doing his job, Jeannie had no choice but to surrender.

she now found herself in jail. when's lunch time she's hungry

The pillar to Heaven built in Hell Empty Re: The pillar to Heaven built in Hell

Post by Hyperion May 6th 2017, 5:13 pm

Ending up in a prison cell was never on Michael’s bucket list, but sometimes life had an odd way of making things happen. There was always something about being caged that made him feel antsy, the powerlessness that brought about a certain anger within him. Despite how much he believed within his own strength, it was not infallible. If it were not for the security measures in place, he would have tried his hand at breaking out long ago but here he was not doing so yet. Anything that could stop one from breaking out, well he wanted to be sure of what that was beforehand.

”One, two, three.” He counted to himself, seemingly working over something but nothing beyond that. Occasionally he would look up to the guard walking past him, taking stock of their weaponry and so far nothing too scary.Given the right moment he would have been out there in minutes, but for now he was just waiting for that right moment. Which was hard to find, because he was just currently crouched against the wall, in one of those brooding moods. Even if he didn’t try to escape, at some point a means to do so would come out of nowhere. Oddly enough, fate had this odd way of working with him when it didn’t matter.

Little did Mike know that time ticked ever onward to that escape.

Post by Knightfall May 6th 2017, 8:05 pm

Michael had never expected to end up in prison within his time on Earth. He couldn't recall exactly how he'd gotten in this situation but he suspected it had something to do with his darker other half. But none of that mattered now, he'd been told he had received a life sentence and he didn't have any known family to bail him out. Escaping wasn't going to be an option anytime soon either. Michael hung by his feet from the light in his cell and did upside down crunches with his arms crossed on his chest. "72..., 73..., 74...,
75...,
" It seemed like he was to be counting for a long time now.

The pillar to Heaven built in Hell Empty Re: The pillar to Heaven built in Hell

Post by Ghoul May 7th 2017, 8:10 pm

Ghoul had respectively asked to keep his mask, and when the guards saw what was underneath; they agreed it was in everyone's best interest for Ghoul to keep the mask. The smell alone left everyone wary of his presence, and being excused from shower time had been a good thing. Ghoul was reading a book, and contemplating how he’d gotten there.

During an investigation, Ghoul had been tasked to investigate a man whose wife had accused him of cheating. It wasn't glorious work, and it was one of his cheaper services. Looking back, he should've charged more. The man was nearly 7 foot tall, and built like a football player. Ghoul was going to die. This he was fairly sure of as the man noticed the car that had been following him and his boyfriend around for a few days now, except this time it had a creepy guy in a mask in it.

The man broke the window and pulled Ghoul out by the neck. ”The fuck are you? Some kind of creepy pervert? You sure smell like one.” He growled. Ghoul wasn't offended, he had heard comments like this most of his unlike, though he wasn't happy about it. So, instead of doing the smart thing; which was fucking piss himself and hope the man took pity on him, he kicked the man in the gut as hard as his borrowed legs could muster. The man simply tightened his grip and someone called 911. The cops showed up, and it seemed like it would all go fine.

The judge however, listened to what must've been the best goddamn lawyer ever; and got Ghoul arrested for aggravated assault, while the man got off scot-free. He was utterly floored by this when the verdict came out.

Now he sat in his cell, waiting for release. Fucking idiot lawyers.

The pillar to Heaven built in Hell Empty Re: The pillar to Heaven built in Hell

Post by Cerek May 9th 2017, 12:55 am

It's less than five minutes until the plan is initiated, Cebra had placed every explosive, hid guard clothing to change into and changed the guard patrol route. All Cebra had to do now was wait which in many ways was the most annoying aspect, the calm before the storm. Cebra took his position near the exit to the Meta unit watching the inmates closely and the guards. His nerves were on edge, a single mistake could end up in a blood bath for everyone including the guards. He wanted to do this as quickly and painlessly as possible though knew fate usually planned otherwise.

. . . Five, four, three, two, one and BOOM! An explosion rocks the prison facility setting off alarms and red flashing lights. The guards look around confused and frightened a lot being new recruits. A voice comes over the intercom being barely audible but seeming to announce.

"Attention, Attention! Block D-7 under attack, all security forces are to report to the area immediately".

The guards nervously draw their rifles and head towards the block, all except for Cebra who hid away under the stairs. Cebra knew it wouldn't be long till they figured out it was a distraction, that's what the security hacking on the cell doors was for. Though it was a cruel plan Cebra needed to use the prisoners to distract the guards back into the room he was in after the people on the list were free. Cebra activates the program unlocking all the Meta cell doors, he stands before the cells watching as all the most dangerous super powered thugs emerge along with the people he's been looking for... Now things would get interesting. Cebra steps forward and with a booming voice calls out.

"Jeannie Rose! Ghoul! Knightfall! Hyperion!... My name is the Blacksmith. Follow me and we may be able to help each other out of our current problems... or stay here and wait for the guards, your choice."

what are you doing here?
she notices he unlocked her cell my hero she skips out of the cell and hugs him. huh well I'm not sure if it's good to break out of jail, but I should have been arrested anyway and I was bored so guess I'll come along.

hey, do you guys think these stripes make me look fat?
The pillar to Heaven built in Hell Prisoner_jeannie_by_ccrgameman-dbcz2hi she spins around and poses so they can look at her outfit. horizotal strips aren't the most slimming design but I think I pull it off alright.  a good second opinion would be nice though,

"If you want a second opinion Jeannie I'd say you look lovely. Not everyone can make a prison outfit work. Or a hulk shirt for that matter." Micheal had flipped backwards off the light fixture and swung his way out of his cell like Tarzan. Landing in front of both Jeannie and the person that seemed to be responsible for this mess. He wasn't complaining though, he was mostly upset with Jeannie if anything having gotten herself into trouble like this. Michael shrugged it off and smiled. Guardian then turned his attention back to the supposed cyborg looking him up and down with a quick glance. "What's your plan? And does it involve getting these things off of the others?" Michael gestured to the collars around their necks restricting their powers. "I'm unaffected by them since it seems to focus on the meta gene but the more the merrier."

Cebra stands there awkwardly among the crowd of felons as Jeannie hugs him.

"Uh yes it's good to see you as well, but maybe now isn't the right time for pleasantries."

Cebra walks over to Knightfall and looks closely at the collar.

"Hm simple I suppose, just steel magnesium alloy."

Cebra touches the collar as a small charge goes from Cebra to the collar making it vanish into mist. He then does the same for Jeannie, Ghoul and Hyperion. Once everyone is free the other inmates start to take more notice of the small group of five forming in the center of the room. Besides that the sound of the guards footsteps returning was growing louder by the second.

"If everyone is ready let's get out of here before we have more trouble than we can deal with."

The pillar to Heaven built in Hell Empty Re: The pillar to Heaven built in Hell

Post by Hyperion May 10th 2017, 2:50 am

Time ticked by, long, drawn out and rather boring. However as the clock struck twelve, an explosion struck the walls in their weakest points and brought with them large cracks. The doors then opened themselves, sliding open and leaving the hallway beyond more attainable.  ”Welp, looks like my cue to leave.” He muttered to himself, pulling to his feet and rolling out a few joints. Someone had orchestrated their release, and that was someone he would not murder in the near future. Joining along with a few other people that were broken out, one of them mentioned something about stripes. Michael rolled his eyes as another person only played into whatever it was she was one about.

Getting the collars off would have been sweet, so he didn’t complain too much when said person did. Granted he likely could have gotten out regardless, but any bonuses that came along with said collar being removed was also nice. ”More trouble than you could deal with anyway.” Hyperion added in with a casual shrug, wondering what the security would actually use as far as weapons were concerned. Likely nothing too high tech, unless the place had higher funding than he had assumed.

”But whatever. So, you got a way out of here or did you not think this far ahead?”

Cebra glances at Hyperion shooting him a smirk.

"You must be Hyperion, is it cliche to say your rep proceeds you?"

Cebra then backs up to a large reinforced steel door opening it to reveal a darkened hallway heading downwards.

"This will lead to the motor pool, we're going to borrow an armored vehicle and ram it through the front gate... not the most elegant of plans but I'd rather not get bogged down in a fire fight with the guards".

Cebra opens the door and it's at that moment the guards break into the room exploding into chaotic fighting with the other meta criminals. Unfortunately at the same time some of the criminals realize that Cebra is wearing a guard uniform and mistake him for security closing in fast.

"Shit! Alright let's go folks!"

he's reputation precedes him? is he super cool like Elvis or something? Jeannie watches Hyperion curiously wondering what made him so interesting that is a neat name though.

she smiles excitedly when Cebra revealed the plan
yay I love plans that evolve comically excessive force and are simple we'll jailbreak literally, can I drive?smashing an armored car through a gate sounds really fun.

Post by Hyperion May 27th 2017, 4:50 am

”I’d be offended if it didn’t.” he said with a casual grin, arms crossed and turning to Jeannie with an arced brow. His eyes followed Cebra, looking to a large steel door that opened to reveal that they did have a way out. ”Unfortunatly I can’t say i’m anything like Elvis, but I do kick some ass.” The plan was to use excessive force, and that much he could appreciate. Gathering energy within his left hand, a black composed of black metal in the shape of what looked to be a longsword formed within his hand. Twirling the weapon within his hand, he turned t where the sound of people rushing in could be heard.

”So, let’s get out of here before I get too many counts of murder on my record?” He said shooting a wry smirk, and wink at their supposed savior. His mind snapped to the idea of maybe finding someone with a fancy set of jewelry or whatever. Something told him Jordan would love a new shiny thing, if only because of the being a dragon bit.

”So, how against killing the guards are we?” He asked, though he had already been in motion with his blade cutting someones legs out from under him. ”Um...don’t worry. I think he’ll live.”

Post by Cerek June 2nd 2017, 5:21 pm

Cebra raises an eyebrow a little taken back by Hyperions casual violence, he shrugs thinking simply "shit happens I guess". Cebra ushers everyone into the long dark hall Welding the doorway shut. He touches one of the wires on the wall sending a charge through and making the lights above turn on. The hallway stretches on heading downwards on a decline, however a feint breeze can be felt blowing in from the vehicle pool.

"Alright folks it's a straight line from here to the vehicle pool, no loud noises as the vents here carry noise far."

Cebra points up to the ventilation system.

"It will likely alert the leech drones... nasty little thing. Let's just say they suck. When we reach the vehicles there will be a few guards to deal with likely, the main thing is dont let any of them get to the intercom. If they alert the main office we're done for, they'll be on us like ants on a lion. There is a good reason I'd rather not kill any of the guards, a few actually. Mostly these punks are mostly just kids and recruits at that. Secondly well... I get enough bad press as it it, last thing I need is a jail massacre to my name. So let's keep it low key if you could...."

Cebra turns and looks at Jeannie and Hyperion at that moment specifically.
