The Legacy

Personality: Des is at heart a kind and caring person but is not completely trusting or open in in the beginning of a relationship. Due to the discouragement to use his powers as a child, he will primarily use them from defence. Despite the awkward attempts, he does try to be upbeat but experiences frequent mood swings History: Des has grown up relatively alone, with parents who were not always around but rather working. From the few memories he does have of his childhood, he remembers being encouraged to hide his abilities as best as possible and to this day tries to stick to that unless  it is necessary to help someone. Currently he lives alone in an apartment, and for the time being, plans to keep it that way. A far as dealing with humans/metahumans, Des tends to dislike those who openly flaunt their powers and doesn't feel comletly comfortable around them. The opposite goes for humans, he strives to be human, and gets along easier as one of them.

The Powers and Weaknesses

(All characters can be as powerful as they want, as long as they are balanced with proper weaknesses.) Powers Power 1: Shadow Manipulation/manifestation. Basically, he can manipulate shadows (move them/create them) as well as creating shadow objects, such as a sword or shield. Once the object is created, it will continue in existence until willed otherwise or until he looses consciousness. Power 2: Healing:  He does this by touching his wounds and is not limited to him himself. It will take up to about a minute for a big wound and a few.seconds for small ones. If a character is near death he cannot necessarily heal them, but can stabilize them until they are able to get proper medical attention. He is unable to regenerate body parts, and the wounds do leave scars. Weakness(es) Weakness 1: To use his powers, he must focus a fair amount and only on that thing. Which means, while he is using his powers, he is open to attack. His concentration can be broken with loud noises and physical contact. Due to the passive nature of his shadow manipulation, once he creates one, it will remain in existence without having to concentrate on its existence. Weakness 2: He can only use one of the powers at a time. If he tries to use another power, the current power stops and the other begins. Because only creating of shadow manifestations requires the concentration, they continue passively. Say if he creates a sword, it will remain while he heals someone, that sword will disappear. Weakness 3: Normal human physique RP Mechanics RP Mechanic(s): Items/Minions Physical Priority (You are to put these physical attributes in order from 1 to 4. 1 is the highest priority, 4 is the lowest.) Please explain the healing power more thoroughly. Is it regeneration? Is it healing of others? How quick is it? How much damage can it overall fix?

Just one more thing amigo. Could you please expand on your weaknesses? As of now they are rather vague and don't tell us much about how they adversely affect your character.

Okay, he has to focus to use his abilities, most characters do. So how does losing focus affect him? What could break his focus? How much concentration do his abilities require from him to maintain?

As far as only using only one ability at once. That seems pretty clear but if you could just explain a bit more how that works I would appreciate it. For example, what happens when he tries to use both simultaneously? Or tries interrupt the use of one with the use of another? Basically just give us a little more clarification and you should be all set.
