Sociopathic Scientist with Super Powers. Yay!... (Danny)

At least half the attacks made their mark hurt. Danny smirked as the electricity crackled towards Krouse, but in a matter of sonic shock, Krouse disappeared again. Only this time, Danny remembered to prepare by plugging her ears with turquoise noise blockers. Listening to Krouse close the distance on her for once did not cause her to grimace to defend what little hearing she still had.

Krouse appeared in his full glory. The man only liked to fight in one style. The style people liked to say Danny went with, but she had a trick up her bracelet. A turquoise barb formed at her feet and jetted out. As Krouse would begin to throw his punch, Danny would anticipate the trajectory and grow the barb towards the flight path of his punch. More jagged spike would grow out from the turquoise structure as Danny called out for Aria.

Fresh off of her miss with Krouse, Aria spotted the trap. She smiled. She only wished her sister could see this and maybe she could. Electricity shot from her fingers and into the turquoise construct, charging it and creating a loose wire with anything touching the giant spike.

A shield came around Danny's arm. Her shin hit the ground first, giving her leverage to spin safely, putting up her shield to block her from any debris or attacks coming from the direction of Krouse.

Chase slowly heaved back up with the child, Melodi suddenly becoming very heavy now that he was being shocked. "Stop it! I'm here to help!" Chase whispered only loud enough for her to hear. The shocking ceased and he continued to carry her out of the room.

He was able to get her in a hall where he could safely remove the rest of the restraints she was bound by. After doing so, he said "How are you feeling? I'm about to head back in there and finish off that creep. Will you be fine here?"

Krouse had seen in the corner of his eyes the two escaped. Not that it mattered much if he couldn't even deal with his current predicament.

A punch that was supposed to send Danny across the room got intercepted by barbed wires. Being unable to slow down the speed of his arm, it dug itself nice and tightly into the wires. Krouse screamed out in pain, and as he was trying to yank out his now even more useless arm, his body started getting shocked through the wires.

He was barely able to keep enough bodily control to turn back into sound and reappear on the other side of the room.


When the man Melodi was being held by told her that he was trying to help, she decided to trust him. She knew she had made the right choice when she was set down and he started taking her remaining restraints off.

When he asked her how she was feeling, she said "Just peachy, and if you don't mind, I'd like to give him a little piece of my mind."

Chase and Melodi returned to the entrance to the room. From a distance, Melodi activated every pain sensor in Krouse's body while Chase disappeared, followed by a high pitched sound filling the room.

Now this looked more fitting of how the fight should have gone in the beginning. Without the hostage, Krouse could not stand up properly to Danny. Well, not now at least because he was a cloud of sound. Both entities merely vibrated in Danny's plugged ears as she waited for him to materialize. In preparation, a crossbow came back to Danny's arm. Again. The bow constricted and the bolt flew out.

"Get him Danny!" Electricity surged through Aria as she snapped out a crick in her neck. "Time for the thunder!" When Danny's bolt shot into Krouse to pin him to the wall, the bolt created a channel, allowing Aria to push electricity to try and activate and paralyze every part of Krouse to put him in a more agreeable state.

"Good job." Danny reached over with an outstretched fist. A poor decision in retrospect when Aria met her fist with a bump, shocking Danny. "Ow, yeah-"

A rare show of kindness flashed in Aria's eyes. "Sorry."

"No, no. My fault. Keep it up."

Chase reappeared suddenly before Krouse, yelling "Payback's a bitch" as his fist reached near mach 1 speeds and hit him square in the face. Krouse being tased by Aria, he was unable to move.

Chase reeled back in pain from his broken arm as Krouse slumped down to the ground. He was defeated. Completely, utterly, decimated. He knew he should've counted his losses when Danny and Aria were somehow freed, but stupid pride got the better of him. His skull was broken, he was unable to move, his left arm was almost certainly permanently paralyzed, and, due to Melodi, he could feel pain pulsing from every pain receptor in his body.

Satisfied with the devastating blow he had left on Krouse, Chase looked behind him, pulling down his mask, revealing a smile. "Now that that's over, can we head somewhere I can take a nap in? I have a migraine that won't stop, if you couldn't tell."

A broken slob of a man laid shattered on the ground with four teenagers standing over him. "He looks bad." Frizz from the static shock sent into Danny still remained presently available. "I guess he should get what comes around." Turquoise bonds would wrap up Krouse's arms, legs, and mouth, meeting a fitting result for Danny's tastes. "See how you like it. Let me call this in, so we can get this guy the help needed to keep him off the streets."

"I think I should shock him again." A jolt of electricity sparked from Aria's fingers. "Your call. Boss."

A smile twisted around the corner of Danny's list. "Just make sure he's alright. I don't see why a little shock would be all that bad."

One last jolt surged through Krouse as Aria would try to get the help from her sister while they waited for the police to show up.

While the sisters stood watch, Danny walked over to check on Chase. "How's the-well everything?"

"Well, for starters, my arm is broken. No matter how many times that happens, it will always hurt like hell. And second, I can feel my head throbbing in pain. I'm pretty sure I was supposed to stay at the hospital for a lot longer than I did." Chase said, holding his hand to the side of his head.


"This day just divulged into madness, didn't it?" Melodi asked her sister, trying to make small talk.

"Yeah, it really did. Who would've thought in a million years we'd go from high school students to assisting super heroes?"

The bone still looked like it was in his arm. Danny could at least write that up for a bonus. "Yeah, you look pretty bad." She took a seat next to him as she pulled out her communicator and watched the dots showing police units move closer. "I'm glad you came though. It was looking pretty bad in there for a minute." The sounds of the twins behind her gave her some reassurance of Krouse's demise. "I was doing fine against that guy by the way. I was winning. It was- well, yeah, there were complications and it made everything way worse, but as for any interview or whatever for Prodigy, I think I've got what I need." She looked over to the doorway as the sounds of sirens grew closer. "I think I've found a lot of things I need today."
