The Looks

Jaguar:

A figure stands before you, strong, proud, and concealing a hidden savagery beneath a stoic look. His skin tone suggests he is from Latin America, light brown in tone. Though his height, and the well-toned muscles that show underneath his attire imply a life dedicated to physical perfection. The body of an athlete, or a modern warrior who can probably knock out a professional boxer in a single punch. His skin has a few marks here and there. Tattoos of a dark color in simple, ancient patterns, contrasted by the self-inflicted scars in complex patterns to add to this mans ritualistic look. Even more, he wears armor from an era long past. Simple leather padding covers a small portion of his body, and tribal smallclothes dotted green and trimmed in white. His head is covered with a helmet of some sort, in the shape of a Jaguar, bearing it's fangs. It may be even real. If you were not so close, you'd guess this man's head was actually the beasts. Gold and jade decorate his body in the form of necklaces, earrings and bracelets. Patterns of snakes, and fangs of large beasts around his attire.

In his hand is a large, ancient weapon. It resembles a wooden club, or even a cricket stick, but much larger, heavier. It is also decorated on the edge with obsidian glass, deadly sharp. This weapon does not look mundane at all, nor worn. It seems undamaged, no matter how many times he has swung it or torn his target with the large weapon. Similar to this, a large shield backed in leather and the pattern of a feathered snake covers his left arm. Similar to this, the shield does not seem worn. On closer inspection, the leather appears to be some reptile's skin, decorated with feathers of green, white and red colors.

The Legacy

Personality:
Jaguar is a living weapon who takes his duties with an objective no-nonsense attitude. He acts stoically and distant whenever he has a social interaction. One might forget he is in truth a human if not for the passion he has whenever he takes to his work. He lives for combat, as any living weapon would and has incredible persistence whenever facing a better opponent. Overall, Jaguar seems detached from his emotions, almost like a machine, except only when he fights with pure zealous rage. However under all this, the heart of Abel Guerra still beats, and he sometimes may react to specific questions about his own self. There may still be the civilized man beneath the raging beast.

History:

In the streets of Mexico, legends arose of a large mountain of a man, with a fierce battle cry and the ability to destroy the most well armed meta-humans into pieces. But well before that, there was Abel Guerra, a simple man who was born to an impoverished family in Mexico City. As a kid without much education or tending from his parents, Abel was mostly by himself, and used to getting his way. He was prone to getting into fights with other kids his age, and often won. He had a passion for becoming something-someone, too strong to be ignored. And refusing for higher education after he graduated high school (top of his class) he followed for a future where his best talent would work wonders. Fighting.

Abel was a talented fighter, and took the boxing circles by storm. His endurance, fueled by his refusal to give up earned him victories and recognition. Abel enjoyed nothing more than defeating the champions and taking their titles, and his career as a boxer only grew from there. However as his victories accumulated, he knew deep within himself he'd never become the best. He might become the heavy-weight champion in the Boxing league, but never he'd become the strongest man alive. Not when there were so many superhumans with abilities far superior than a lifetime of training. Yet, he did not give up. He challenged a known Mexican superhuman, Martillo (The Hammer) to a boxing match. He was refused the challenge, told it would be unfair. Martillo was able to crush automobiles with his hands, and had a bulletproof body, a normal human was no match for him.

But Passionate Abel Guerra did not desist, and started taunting the Hero, calling him a coward and a quitter. Until the match was set, famous and seen on International TV for one of the rare sporting events between a superhuman and "Average Joe". Abel was commended for his courage, but his fate was not envied. A single punch in the jaw was all it took for Heavyweight Boxing Champion Abel Guerra to be left without air, and while endured the punch, he was no contest for the superhero. Abel took a beating, only his spirit allowing him to refuse to be knocked out, and the match was forced to end due to medical emergency. He managed to stand after the first few attacks, but his human body still gave in to the massive trauma and shock. His bones were broken, his muscles torn, and he was not expected to survive. Let alone continue with his Boxing career after the damage.

Three years it took Abel to be able to walk on his own again. And he dedicated himself to become someone or something strong enough to defeat a Superhuman in a fair fight. This was his pride, and he refused to be defeated and give up. His career destroyed, he had no money to fund or invest in technology. And his body never fully recovered from the fight, he might never regain his lost strength. So he turned to legends, followed old stories and talked to the right people. Running out of options he followed every hunch he had. And eventually traveled on his own to the Aztec ruins in the Mexican jungles, in the ruins of Tenochtitlán.

That is when he first heard the voices call out to him.
"Blood is required."
He followed the voices to a large courtyard, where the Sun shone with such intensity he felt his vision darken. He saw only darkness then. Sun and Darkness, then a mirror, then a snake, then a jaguar. And in the middle of it, blood. His own blood, flowing freely.
"The fifth world shall begin anew. Blood gives, blood takes, blood moves and stays. Blood brightens and darkens. Blood creates and destroys. The Snake and the Jaguar."

As such, Abel Jesus Guerra died in that moment. The power of the ancient gods of his ancestors filling his body and mind. Accepting his sacrifice, so their will shall be carried once again. Protect or destroy, enlighten or darken, live or die. Either way, the sacrifices will be taken, and his purpose would be fulfilled. The continued legacy of humanity, the children of his gods. And the power to stop evil, and allow the universe to continue. All sacrifices were acceptable, but Abel's was the most valuable of all.

The Powers and Weaknesses

(All characters can be as powerful as they want, as long as they are balanced with proper weaknesses.)
Powers

Power 1: Tezcatlipoca's Might. Jaguar is a champion of the God Tezcatlipoca, and as such he has incredible strength. He can easily destroy concrete with his bare fist, and dent steel with a punch.

Power 2: His body is much more durable as well, able to withstand incredible amounts of pressure, and as much as a tank round with little more than a bruise.

Power 3: Quetzalcoatl's Life. Blessed by the Plumed Serpent, Jaguar is blessed with eternal youth, and accelerated healing. He can heal minor scratches in an hour and heavy wounds in a day. A broken bone will take a week at most.

Power 4: Huitzilopochtli's Macahuitl. The weapon Jaguar carries, the Macahuitl is no normal weapon either. Blessed by the Aztec god of war, Jaguar's Macahuitl will never deteriorate over use and is much more durable than what it's base materials suggest. Stronger than Jaguar himself, even. With this weapon, Jaguar can cut and hack through most mundane materials including titanium as well as a few godly metals such as Mithril and Adamantine. This godly weapon was made with the sole purpose of destroying the Tzitzimitl. "The Horrors from beyond". It is especially effective at destroying magical defenses and evil creatures of magical origin.

Power 5: Hide of the Teotl. Jaguar's armor, jaguar head and his shield are made of the shed skin of Quetzalcoatl, and imbued with the other god's blood. While it does not protect Jaguar's body completely, this equipment offers minor physical protection but major magical one. Any attack that attempts to physically harm Jaguar through magical means such as an elemental bolt created by magic will be met with heavy resistance by Jaguar's armor.

Power 6: Blood for the Mighty. His armor serves another purpose, as Jaguar bleeds, his armor absorbs his blood and accepts his sacrifice to the Gods, and further showering him with their blessings. Tezcatlipoca's Might and Quetzalcoatl's Life will increase in effect when Jaguar is covered in blood.

Weakness(es)

Weakness 1: Human mind. The blessings of the gods come at a price, and Jaguar's duality is his. While he may be a weapon of the gods, within him still struggles the mind of Abel Guerra. Psychic attacks or magic that target Jaguar's mind is more effective.

Weakness 2: Duality. Blessed by the two dual gods with complete different methods in destroying evil, the merciful Quetzalcoatl will encourage Jaguar to protect others while the ruthless Tezcatlipoca will demand violence and ferocity to his enemies. Jaguar as their champion struggles when faced with ethical choices, to the point of both gods fighting over his control, leaving him helpless to their will.

Weakness 3: Barely Armored. While Jaguar's body can endure much more than a regular human, his armor barely protects him, almost an invitation for his opponents to hurt him. His exposed skin makes for a great target for non magical attacks.

Weakness 4: Tool of War. Jaguar carries his duty with objective passion and will almost never stop until he physically cannot continue fighting or his opponent is in the same position. As such, Jaguar has no self-preservation instinct (but his human mind is still vulnerable to fear) and will almost never retreat.

Weakness 5: Sacrifices must be done. Jaguar's powers are based on the tribute given to the gods daily, fueling his might. Should he, for any reason, be away from combat for long periods of time, he must bleed himself to continue his existence as Champion of the Teotl. This is a lengthy and weakening ritual that would leave him in no condition for fighting until he has managed to recover himself. Bleeding himself in this way will not activate Blood for the Mighty.

Weakness 6: At the god's mercy. Unless very, very specific conditions are met. Such as deviating from his purpose, or simply losing the favor of the gods he serves as a weapon, Jaguar's power is entirely at the disposition of Quetzalcoatl and Tezcatlipoca. Under the right circumstances, the gods may retrieve their blessings from Jaguar and leave him the mundane human he once was. Or another god, strong enough to challenge the Teotl brothers might intervene to take Jaguar's powers from him.

This requires 2 weaknesses. 1 for strength, 1 for durability.

Boosting the powers is okay, but also requires an additional weakness:

If you thought that you could only have 4 powers and 4 weaknesses at the start, then that's okay but you can have as many powers as you want, so long as they have 1 weakness to counter it. Not exactly counter it, but we work on a 1:1 ratio for Powers:Weaknesses. This allows characters to have lots of potential as well as limitations for having so much potential when first created.

In order to gain more power we have "Advancements" and this allows you to either buy off weaknesses - aka pay experience points to get rid of a weakness, or buy new powers or make powers stronger with no repercussions/added weaknesses.
