The Scientist vs The Demon (Entei)
Lucius as always was after something, this time that something was a bit more personal however. It wasn't revenge really, though it may have seemed like that. Certain people needed to be removed from the equation to allow Lucius' larger goals to be realized, his target was one of them. It wasn't his intellect or numbers at his command, it was the half demons sheer power.
They had encountered each other randomly a few times in the past, which was the problem. Lucius ended up running both times either because the job was finished or the odds were stacked against him. He was only comfortable fighting someone of that power level if he had prepped first, nothing with Lucius could be straight up, he always had to have a slight or trick. Keeping that in mind, he had very little of that this time.
Yes he had some tricks on stand by, but not as much as usual. This was just because of pride really, if he beat the guy, he wanted to do it relatively fairly. Not that he wouldn't cheat, just less. After all he was a cheater, or so they told him. It wasn't exactly cheats, just clever and well executed tactics. Misdirection was always attributed to underhandedness by those that didn't understand it.
So the field was set, the top of a highly populated office sky scrapper. He hadn't rigged the field with traps at all, mostly because it already came with its own form of trap. Regardless, he was ready in his own way. He just needed Entei to meet him, which wouldn't be too difficult. He had sent the boy a message, not a fake one, a message of himself.
"Hello Michael. I need you to be at this building in twenty minutes. If you don't, well, a lot of people are going to die." Lucius said through Entei's hacked Guardians communicator, sending an address along with it. All that was left now was the wait.

Re: The Scientist vs The Demon (Entei)
Laying on the bed of his families Chicago penthouse, Entei lazily slept away. Curled on his chest was his familiar, Kuro, a twin tailed cat. As he slept, Uzma had snuck out, probably to do some shopping, or do some more planning for the wedding. With that girl, Entei never really knew what was going in hear head, and he loved that.
Briiiiiing. Briiiiiing.
Across the room, Entei's communicator laid on his dresser, buzzing and vibrating, creating a racket, causing the hero to begrudgingly stir from his slumber. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes, and stifling a huge yawn, Kuro crossed the room for him, slapping at the communicator with his paw. It had been quite a while since that communicator had been used, which slightly worried Entei. The Guardians had been in a metaphorical slumber as of late, or had just been communicating with each other via text messages or phone calls.
"Hello Michael." Entei raised an eyebrow at that voice, sure that he had heard it before. Probably from some C-list 'super villain' whom he had defeated. "I need you to be at this building in twenty minutes. If you don't, well, a lot of people are going to die."
Entei let out another yawn, placing his hand over his mouth. This was a daily thing, after all. Lives being threatened for his cooperation, then him going, kicking some ass, and making it home in time to pretend to enjoy Uzma's cooking.
He was still in his suit and tie as he stepped onto the railing of the balcony, Kurikara blade strapped to his back, two large, skeletal wings protruding from his back. He leaned forward, letting himself fall for a good hundred feet, before he finally flapped his wings.
Landing on the roof that had been designated, his wings returned to their fiery state, disappearing in an inferno of blue sparks.
"So.." Entei began, one hand resting on the hilt of his blade. "What was your name again?"

Re: The Scientist vs The Demon (Entei)
Lucius watched as his target arrived, smiling smugly under his mask. The wings were new, not that it mattered. Lucius just laughed when the half demon asked him what his name was, as if he was having trouble remembering him. Honestly, it didn't matter if he did or not.
"Oh please. Do you think i care if you remember me or not? Its not like this is personal, i just see you getting in my way in the future." Lucius said stepping forward, closing the distance between them to about fifteen feet.
"Now we can do this the easy way or the hard way. If you fight, people will die, lots of people. But if you end it right now, if you throw in the towel so to speak, we can avoid that terrible outcome. Of course, its your choice. Last time i tried to use hostages against you you fried them. Some hero." Lucius said walking toward a utility shed on the roof. He opened the door, pulling out a tied up woman of about 19.
"You can't win without a bit of sacrifice now can you? You know what I'm asking. Your life for hers and everyone elses in this building." Lucius said holding the pink haired woman by her neck. She looked utterly terrified. This may have looked like a trump card, but this was just one of many layers to a larger plan.

Re: The Scientist vs The Demon (Entei)
Surprisingly, Entei looked entirely disinterested in this situation. Did this guy really think he was the first person to use hostages against him? He wouldn't even have been the first this week. Not that it really mattered to him. He looked at the woman, giving her a slight apologetic look. He didn't want her to die, nor anyone in this building, however he also couldn't allow this.. man? To kill him.
"Well, I'm sorry." Entei said, removing the sword from it's sheath a fraction of an inch. He willed his horns to stay suppressed, as well as his more demonic features. "I'm bad with names for one, but I always remember abilities. As for allowing you to kill me, wish I could. However, my fiance is planning our wedding, and I'm kinda crucial to that. If I let you kill me, well, she would never forgive me for ruining her wedding."
Entei took a few steps forward, his eyes drawing into a tight scowl.
"Now you deal with the prince of demons, fury incarnate. If you let the woman go, I will allow you to walk away alive, if not, I will flay your skin from your muscle, and cauterize the wounds so that you live through the agonizing pain just a bit longer."

Re: The Scientist vs The Demon (Entei)
Well that was expected. Of course this guy wouldn't accept the whole sacrifice offer, no 'hero' ever would. It was merely a test, Lucius didn't intend to use hostages to defeat the male.
"Hahahaha, of course not. You don't care whether or not i kill anyone. You're not a hero, your just a self righteous attention seeking show off. Though i doubt it will have any effect, I'm a man of my word." Lucius said tossing the woman to the side before taking a few steps back. After that all it took was one telepathic command to Hector and the bombs went off. They didn't need to be very powerful, just well placed. He knew the buildings architecture enough to topple it over with a few small explosives.
The skyscraper rumbled, slowly collapsing as the bombs blew out its most important supports one by one. This was going to kill a ton of people, yet Lucius looked completely casual. Once everything was in motion he simply activated his thrusters and watched as the building slowly fell to the populated streets below. The tied up woman eventually fell off the now slanted roof and was plummeting to the ground. Not only would the people inside likely die, the people in the streets below would be horribly crushed.
"I think you got a job to do.....or you could just forget about all that and burn me alive." He taunted, hovering above the falling building.
