Medicine for the Soul
Darrick walked into his temporary office and removed his lab coat. He was tired to say the least. Well, not tired enough to keep the smile off his face. He had done good today. He had assisted in the birth of a child. It was always a pleasure to do that. Plus, no one died. Just the way he liked it.
Darrick had been able to snag a temporary transfer over to the London General Hospital. It was almost heaven. Except for the fact that he could not understand a damn word some of the natives were saying. Plus, he sometimes missed Mexican food. Like authentic Mexican food. Anyways, he had come here for a specific reason, besides to get free vacation time. Mainly to try to release all the bad vibes. (He had tried meditating, but apparently an Asian doctor meditating prompted people to ask, "Are you Muslim?" for some odd reason that even HE could not comprehend.) Darrick didn't want his darker counterpart to take over. That would make him break the doctor's code. Again.
For those that don't know, the doctor's code basically says that no matter your deeds, a doctor is supposed to save you from death. That is exactly the kind of philosophy that the anti-heroic side of Darrick called bullshit. Just last week, while he was still in the States, Dr. Dark decided to make an appearance and kill some robbers. Oh yeah, sure, he made it look like one-way-out suicides, but his conscious couldn't be cleared. No, not while he blames himself for his own father's death, even though he couldn't do anything anyways. If he did that, how could he possibly forgive himself for physically killing people who's crimes did not equate to their punishment. They didn't even kill anyone, just took hostages.
As Darrick relaxes in his armchair, his desk phone rings. He sighs. Only a little so that you would think that he was breathing out in contentment even though he was far from it on the inside. But he was tired. He put on his smile again and answered the phone. "Hello? Yes, this is the Dr. Faust that you are speaking to now, yes sir it is. Alrighty, I'll be there in a jiffy second! Oh. That's what this is about.Thank you. Goodbye." He hung up. His smile lowered only slightly.
The London authorities had asked him when he had first come into the city to be of assistance in case the local police force needed it. They offered him a reasonable sum of money, and of course he took it with joy. Money was money, and he could help people after all. However, Darrick, in the back side of his mind, was afraid that going with the police force would jack up his rage or one of the other emotions that the bad side fed on. What if it was a little girl that was killed? A puppy? A girl and a puppy at the same time?
Darrick pushed these thoughts away and changed his goofy smile into one of professional confidence. He had a job at hand.

Re: Medicine for the Soul
Nolan was humming a small tune behind Jeisen as he floated on by, pushing bits of technology together to create random things. Jesien's face was lite up in blue as he stared into screens of london and the world. His network was growing as he slowly expanded more and more into other networks around the world via datastreams. He had his hands clasped together resting under his noes as he leaned against his elbows on the desk. One of the icons flashed red and Jeisen tapped it with a finger to bring it all the way up.
It looked like a the police were being called out to a situation down on 8th street by the river. Not a whole lot to go on at first, but it appears it was serious no the less. Monitoring duties would have to wait then. Jeisen stood up and nodded to his small little robot helper. From a back pack, a suit zoomed out to cover Jeisen as rapidly as possible. Jeisen barely notcied the impacts of the suits as he walked down his stairs to his basement. It led down into one of the subway tunnels through a cut in access point. A nice way to get through the city if he could avoid getting hit by a train. Good thing he could most faster then a train in the first place.
He used a small emergancy exit in one of the tunnels to get outside of the subway ssytem near the location of the incident. Nolan quickly brought up a map of the near by area along with tapping into the police chatter. Jeisen made his way to a roof top via walking up one of the walls to help see just what exactly was going on. His cloak hung around him in its dark green visage. Two blue optics peered out from a hood as Jeisen scanned the area with eyes that missed nothing.

Re: Medicine for the Soul
It was a break in. Not a bank robbery mind you. No, it was far more serious than that. A warehouse. No, not a clothing warehouse. It was a warehouse that contained one of the most significant advancements of the past decade: Gryoxilis. It was a drug that, when administered, boosted adrenaline levels, while increasing muscle density and intelligence. Not to mention some insane side effects granted by the drug: metastabilility. In order words, the drug was able to stabilize a normal human's body to the point that it developed almost invulnerable skin, mutagen-based super healing, and psychokinesis. The effects last for only an hour, and the user will experience gryoxil withdrawal unless given the drug again in the next hour, or receive treatment that obviously costs twenty times more than the drug itself. A drug that was not only deadly, but addictive, too. To humans, it was a super steroid; to metahumans, it was a trip to godhood. This warehouse was broken into by a group of metahumans. It was quite easy to tell. Burn marks, dents in the wall, and plasma burns were all that one had to look at to know that the break-in was perpetrated by none other than metahumans.
Darrick sighed as he look at the damage to the front of the building. It was no doubt they were still in there. After all, it would be kinda hard to miss three metahumans on a destructive escape route; plus they shut down the facility's doors so that they could not get out unless they wasted their energy, or used the gryoxilis, and even then, it would take an hour, as they were deep into the heart of the facility. They were going to wait for an opening; in other words, they were going to wait for him. Darrick had checked out the victims; only guards, no innocents thank God, were injured and even they were only beaten to the point of unconsciousness. They were all taken into the ambulances and driven to the hospital for urgent treatment. In fact, there was almost no other medical personnel at the warehouse besides himself and his temporary assistant, Lana. A metahuman herself, she possessed the ability to heal not only physical, but also psychological damage; therefore, she was naturally assigned to him. She was a healer/telepath, a fragile woman, who, hopefully never would get into a fist-fight with another metahuman. Especially the dangerous kind. Anyways, this 32 year-old woman was standing in front of the warehouse with Darrick when she heard him sigh. "Is it everything all right, Dr. Faust?" she asked him.
Darrick smirked. "I'm always all right, Lana. So alright,in fact, that I would like to take you to a nice, candle-lit dinner after this is all over!" Dr. Faust was practically beaming now. In honesty, Darrick had never gotten personally close to any woman in his life before, he was still a virgin at the young age of 26 , although, he told himself, it wouldn't be bad to start now. Lana laughed; she knew that Dr. Faust was practically abstinent when it came to women. Darrick was half-hoping that she would give him a real answer, but she left it at the laugh. Darrick sighed again, while keeping his goofy smile on at the same time. He had work to do.
He went to his van, a van that had ambulance lights, but other than that looked nothing like an ambulance. It was pitch black, with even the windows tinted all black, so no one could see inside(the authorities knew the necessity of that even though it might draw more suspicion; it was to hide the equipment, not the people in the car). Darrick got into the back of the van and closed the door behind him so that no one else could see what was on the inside. Inside, was some of the most advanced medical equipment money could buy, plus some extra toys that he had installed for him. Oh, and a changing room. That's the important part. It was basically his own personal Batmobile that had a mobile hospital inside, as well as the Batcave. This van was also twice as long, and slightly wider, than a normal ambulance. Darrick changed into his space cowboy-looking gear, donning the mantle of Supercharger, and grabbed his gun. The super soldiers with the police, the MTF, or Meta Task Force, would be stationed outside until further notice from him. In a situation such as this, he had as much authority as the chief of police.
Supercharger looked around the inside of the van. It was slightly different than his one in the States. Thanks to his contacts in Sector 13, he was able to get a van just like this in every major city around the world. Unfortunately, his contacts did not let him abuse this to set up prank phone call systems in every major city in the world. Supercharger sighed. Some day, some day. He chose to grab a tracker which would tell the police and other friendlies of his coordinates inside the building. It was just the metahumans inside who wouldn't be able to see the signature. If they discovered the tracker, he would receive an alert, and he could just ditch it, confusing them.
Supercharger got out of the van and shut down all the systems in the van. As he walked, he noticed that the regular police force looked at him with awe, the MTS, with respect, and Lana, with a smirk, almost as if anticipating the next thing he would say.
Putting on his best macho voice, he strode over to Lana with the most serious eyes he could muster, as his mask covered his lower face defeating the purpose of concealing his smile, and he said, "That Darrick was such a loser. I'm just going to take you to a candle-lit dinner, and not even ask you!" Lana, of course, couldn't take this seriously and started laughing so hard that she was practically crying. His jokes were so corny, yet endearing. The police captain did not find it so, and briskly walked up to the doctor/hero and gruffly told him, "Get your ass in there now!" Supercharger gave the tracking device to the chief and told him in the straightest way possible, "Actually sir, this is going to go in my ass, and your going to have to watch it while I go in there."
"What?!"
Supercharger quickly left the captain flustered, and walked off to the warehouse. He nodded politely and respectfully to the MTF. They all could not conceal their grins. Now with his mind cleared of all worries, he was ready for action.
Supercharger spoke into his mouthpiece, "When I call out a door's number, I want you to open it and promptly lock it behind me. And don't get me in the leg with the door while I'm doing that. No other power surges are going to go through the building until I say so. Got it?"
"Yes, sir."
"Alright, let's try this. Gate A1!"
The door opened before the hero, and he promptly walked inside.
The door shut leaving him in total darkness.
Supercharger turned on the lights mounted to his mouth guard, and began his journey into the heart of the facility.

Re: Medicine for the Soul
Nolan: "Sir, I have found more information about the break in of the warehouse."
Jeisen crouched on a rooftop next to the warehouse, avoiding the police yet keeping a eye on them from above. It looked like they were all gathering for something near the entrance of the place.
Jeisen: "Continue then"
Nolan: "Well, it looks like this place stores are powerful drug for metahumans. It goes by the name of Gryoxilis. Remember when I first pinged this coming up? Lots of dangerous side effects and addiction along with the boasts making this a very dangerous drug."
Jeien did remember this when he broke into London's data bases awhile ago, but the research on this drug had been of little use then. Looks like a shipment of it had gotten placed in this warehouse now. Was the drug alread that close to hitting the market? Not a good sign. From what Jeisen could tell, a group of meta humans had broken into the facility to take control of it and the drugs. How they had found out what was in this place was going to be worth looking into.
Nolan: "Oh look... someone is arriving."
From his spot on the ledge, Jeisen looked down to spot what appeared to be a single man making his way through the police lines and to the entrance of the warehouse. With his optics, Jeisen zoomed in on his face.
Jeisen: "Run the face regination software through the London PD databases. See who this guy is?"
Nolan: "One second... running... Hmmm. This one is a Dr. Faust. Appears to be a Meta human doctor who is working with a local hospital and the police while here in London. No real information on him.."
Jeisen: "Yet he appears to be going in alone so they think he can handle it?"
Nolan: "It would appear so. Looks like they cut the power to the building too. Things are going to be dark inside. They are opening up the gate. Options?"
Jeisen: "Only one"
Taking a few steps back, Jeisen turned on his cloak for invisiblity then began to run forwards. By the time he hit the edge of the roof he was going close to 150 miles per hour and he sailed through the air invisible. He hit the ground with a roll just beyond the police line as the began to shut the doors. Comming to his feet from the roll Jeisen slide forward with his momentum to slide just underneath the doors. He pressed himself against the wall still invisible from the cloak, but that didn't really matter. It was pitch black in here for the other man. Jeisen had switched over to infrared vision now that he was inside. He wauted silently as the Doctor turned on a light before walking into the building.
This should be interesting

Re: Medicine for the Soul
Darrick slowly moved through the corridors of the warehouse, sights up on weapon keeping constant lookout for anything suspicious. Truth be told, he was unnerved. No, not about the Lana thing. It was more of a gut feeling. His instincts were acting up. One: it was pitch black in the warehouse, and no sound had been made. This was really concerning considering the fact that he was getting closer to the storage facility underground. Two: He was the only source of illumination. Three: His clothes, although stronger than Kevlar, was slowing him down. He should have made something more compact and lightweight, but no, he had to be a fucking space-cowboy!
"Gate G-3!"
The gate opened. Darrick walked through. It closed behind him.
The farther that Darrick went the much more nervous he was getting. The criminals could have well set up an ambush for him. He was going in blind: he had no idea about the exact whereabouts of the criminals, nor did he specifically know their powers. For all he knew, the burn marks could have been caused by fire projection, flaming swords, lava skin, or just plain incendiary guns. Oh, speaking of guns, his was getting heavy. He needed to change that too at some point. Maybe make it lighter and more compact, or even get rid of it altogether.
Darrick stopped. He felt a tingling on the back of his neck. It wasn't a bad feeling. Just something familiar. Almost as familiar as himself. He shook the feeling off. No time to be rambling philosophical. But he couldn't move on. He heard something.
Just as he raised his gun and turned to the side, he was hit by a....no, not a metahuman, a fucking building. And he was one ugly motherfucker. Its body was just a contorted mass of gigantic muscle. This...thing looked like a fucking mech suit. Hell, he couldn't even tell if it was male or female.
Twenty yards from where he was standing before, Darrick fell on his ass. It hurt. His head hurt. His whole fucking body hurt. But that couldn't stop him.
He raised his gun from the floor as the thing was advancing on him and fired, launching multiple arcs of electricity. The creature went on its knees before it let loose a bloodcurdling cry. Darrick struggled to get up in time, before it stomped on him.
Then, as he was backing away, he was hit by a blast of burning energy. Plasma. Not the lightning kind of plasma, no, that would have been easier to deal with. This was alien-based plasma. The worst kind, too. Solar plasma, a mixture of flames and plasma. Which meant that the guy that had caused the regular burns, had also caused the plasma burns. Which also meant that this was a double threat. Which also meant that he was slowly getting more fucked.
Without looking, Darrick fired his gun again. This time, twin bolts shot out fromm the weapon, hitting the two villains. Darrick quickly backpedaled, sensing at least two more hidden somewhere.
There. He saw it. It was a large spider-human hybrid. Not the cool-looking spider mech suits either. No, this was a full on, mutated spider hybrid. It was just as ugly as Mutant Muscles, who was charging his way through despite the pain.
Holy fuck..., Darrick thought as he saw another monstrosity approach. A shark hybrid this time. And behind it was a giant cloud of smoke that took the shape of a man. A smokescreener.
Five against one. It would not end well if Darrick just continued shooting. He would have to charge himself, maybe even ditch the gun, to just get out of here alive.
It was while he was thinking when he saw the shadow. It was taking up the space where the smoke trail from the smoke screen would have been. He had no fucking idea what it was. It actually made the smoker look even more frightening.
"This is gonna hurt!"
"Gate G-3!"
The gate opened. Darrick walked through. It closed behind him.

Re: Medicine for the Soul
Now this was a fight to be sure. Jeisen had followed the good doctor inside before the gate had shut behind him, but moved out of the way as the attacks began. Looks like there were five meta humans ganging up on just one. Jeisen was almost tempted to see what this fellow might against these odds, but he couldn't risk wasting anymore time. Reaching on to his belt, Jeisen plopped down to the ground level from his spot on the wall as the smokescreener began to fill the room with a dense smoke. Jeisen add two more smoke canisters to really clog up the room with it. With such thick smoke, there was no more need for his cloak so he dropped it. Now came the hard part.
Now, what should he do first?
Nolan: "Switching to thermal scans of the building. Registering six hot spots within the vicinity. Marking our doctor in blue and the enemy in red. Good hunting"
Jeisen: "Lord of the hunter, grant that my hands be true and my feet be swift. And if the worst shall come to pass, usher me across the sea."
First things first, lets get this guy some breathing room. Pulling a small ball from his compressors, Jeisen tossed it down in front of the doctor, creating a wall of energy in between him and the charging shark thingy. That should be enough to hold off all but the strongests of charges from the man
Is that thing still a man? Jesus, is this these guys on the drugs? I kinda hope it is otherwise, the doctor may be in a little bit of trouble here.
The doctor may have been in trouble, but these type of situations was what Jeisen was good at. The lightning bolt of a meta human shook off the thoughts as he sprinted up the wall at nearly 100 miles an hour, his boots keeping him attached. He had decided to first to take down the plasma wielding meta human just to kill some of their range. From the the ceiling and with a flick of his wrist, Jeisen sent twin daggers flying through the air at this meta human. This sort of attack was what Jeisen was good at, a stealth strike from above. Maybe not the most honorably of attacks, but defiantly a effective one.

Re: Medicine for the Soul
Darrick's mind worked fast enought to notice all the things that were happening. First, that the shadow turned out to actually be a person that was invisible for some reason instead of coming out to him and saying, "Hey, want some help?" After all, he would have said yes, as this was obviously a very quiet person who would not mess up this operation in any way. Then again, Darrick himself might have with constant chit-chat. But the other man-he was assuming it was a man from the body structure- couldn't have possibly known that. Whih still begs the question: why stay hidden for an obviously public sting operation. Unless this man had other more evil intentions.
Putting these thoughts aside, Darrick analyzed the other things at hand. The enemy metahumans were not using the gryoxil compounds. This was demonstrated by the shark hybrid knocking himself out by crashing into the shield that the man had so kindly erected in front of him. If they were on gryoxilis, no amount of technology could withstand the force of metastable muscle; he should know, it was one of tests that he had seen being run in the Sector 13 Experimental Research facilities, albeit with careful precautions. Anyways, the limited psychokinesis that was granted from the drug would have stunned him anyhow.
Next, Even with the plasma caster going down, there were still four metahumans left. No, he did not count wrong. Plasma had a nasty way of reforming unless suppressed, so, unless the other guy knew that, there was still four to deal with. The abominable mass of muscle made its way to help out its plasma friend. Also, he noticed that the arachnid was gone, probably setting up ambush.
Oh, his eyes and lungs were also burning from the smoker. The noxious gas had found a way into his breather system. He would have to fix that later, he noted. In the meantime, he formulated a plan.
Darrick twisted a knob on the gun and threw it towards the now glop of plasma. It landed on top of it and immediately began giving off an electrical field, keeping the caster at bay. It would only last for five minutes so he would have to act fast. Mutant Muscles was still heading towards the mystery man, but the doctor felt that he could handle it.
Darrick sprinted towards the smokescreener at top speed. He wouldn't survive this battle if he was suffocating to death.
Compared to the other man Darrick was slow. But what he lacked in speed was endurance, awesome shoes that let him go across almost any surface, and literal lightning reflexes. This is precisely what came in handy when a certain spider dropped down in front of him.
Using the shoes, he quickly inverted himself and magnetized himself to the ceiling. While flying upwards, he sent a burst of electricity down to the spider stunning it and incapacitating it. No one ever dies by his hand.
De-magnetizing himself as soon as he touched the ceiling, Darrick pushed himself off at an alarming rate towards the smoker, emmitting large burst of electricity to stun the smoker while he devised a way of containing it. With the smoker temporarily stunned, Darrick opened his oxygen tank and released the oxygen, replacing it with the smoker. It would hold him for the time being. He threw the heavy tank on top of the spider-which was now coming to- to keep it from gtting back into the fight and quickly turned back around to see that the shark had done the same and, instead of going after the doctr, ran towards th man that had given him a massive headache. Darrick at first started to go help the ma n out. This was some serious muscle that one man was going to have to go up against.
But then, the doctor was left wondering where the drugs were; there wasn't a single sign of the containers.
Unless...there was a sixth man, escaping with the drugs as they fought.
Darrick turned and saw that the previously closed gate was now busted open.
"Oh, Jesus shit!"
Darrick quickly debated what to do, and headed towards the mystery man, opting to help him, while simulteaneously sending out a call through his mouthpiece.
"Lana, switchboard, chief, anyone! Surge all the power and send in the MTF, NOW! Intercept between the entrance and my position! We have a carrier making his escape with the drugs! I repeat, we have a carrier escaping with the drugs! Be forewarned, the suspect is possibly a metahuman, or can be on the drug, or both!"

Re: Medicine for the Soul
Jeisen hung from the ceiling, his boots holding him there as time seemed to slow down for him. Letting out a breath he didn't know he was holding in, Jeisen relaxed fractionally. Being tense would only slow him down right now. The other metas seemed to freeze in their spots as Jeisen's mind took in all the details. Time wasn't frozen, Jeisen's mind just moved at a rate where it made that point moot. His eyes caught every detail, analysed it, memorized it, and stored it for later. Even now as he was being assaulted with a barrage of sounds and sights, he still broke down what he needed to do. His guns unsnapped from their wrists slots once more and into his fingers every so slowly as he looked over the battlefield.
Break it down- situation, not good. Twin daggers went straight through that plasma man. Looks like he is forming together slightly already. Think he could pull himself together entirely? Probably. How to deal with that.... drop a crate on him? Works for me
One quick shot and a crate fell down on top of were the plasma man was beginning to reform. Wasn't much but it would at least slow the bastard down a bit.
1 second passed
Next- hows the doc doing? Seems he is heading up to the ceiling with me and throwing things around. He's got a gun too and it looks like his boots are doing the work for him? Hard to tell, but his bioelectric signals are meta human levels thats for sure. A walking battery? Looks like he is mobile enough to out maneuver these metas and thats all that matters really.
Another second passed by as the Good doctor soared up to the ceiling. The crate was still falling towards the plasma meta while the shark meta seemed to take his first steps towards Jeisen.
Now that shark man seems to beheading my way no? How the hell does he think he is going to be getting up to me on the ceiling? He might throw something at me. Trouble? No, far to slow for me not to see it coming and easlily dodge able most likely..... wait, where are drugs?
His eyes darted over their last known location as Jeisen mentaly cycled through to the heat signature readings. It wasn't clear at first, but there was defiantly a sixth person that grabbed the container and headed for the... He looked up at the door to spot pieces of metal falling so slowly that they hung in the air. Whatever just went through that door had just gone through it, it seems.
Another tick of the clock as a second passed again.
Now the doctor was on the ceiling, the shark was charging and the smoke screener was filling the room with his toxic ash.
Now, what to deal with? Help out the doctor or go after the drugs? Drugs are the primary target here for the metas, best to put a stop on that before they take them out to the street and cause real havoc. But can I just leave this doctor here to deal with four others? He almost got taken down before the fight even really started... I can't do both.
Another second crawled by for Jeisen as he wrestled with indecision momentarly before making up his mind. He couldn't do both so he wouldn't. Jeisen crouched down just as the doctor was falling and let go of a small orb that began to rapidly expand. Nolan would have to help the doctor while Jeisen would deal with the escapee. With a flash, Jeisen was gone. He teleported to a mark back where he first enerted the hallway. He would be there waiting for the drug runner with bost pistols up and charged for him to appear. Two shots from the pistols and this meta should be down easy. Reavers were good at what they do.
Jeisen: "Nolan assits the doctor. Sharks tend to sense electrical signals in great amounts by the way."
Nolan: "Noted Mr. google."
Nolan could take a hint though. The tiny ball of a robot quickly expanded into a slightly bigger robot floating up on the ceiling as he took control over the radio signals more fully and nearby electrical singals. With a surge, Nolan manituplated the techonolgy to bring more power to bear for the good doctor while also possible screwing with the sharks senses a bit.
Nolan: "Looks like the doctor is about to send a messgae? Kill it?"
Nolan held the signal off for a split second for Jeisen to ananylse it
Jeisen: " garble the first part but let the part about the carrier making his escape and warning go through. I don't want the police getting in the way and getting hurt."
Nolan: "Done"
The message went out "Surge the power.... drugs incoming.... metahuman.. or... on drugs!"
Within 8 seconds total from the breath being let out, Jeisen made his moves. With a mind as fast as lightning and a body to match, 8 seconds was plenty of time.

Re: Medicine for the Soul
Darrick saw them come out of nowhere. Literally. Like they seriously appeared out of thin air. Darrick could see now since the power was surged.
Anyways, Moronic Muscles and Shark Boy literally popped out in front of him. They were teleported there. With no technology on them, Darrick could guess what the last one's power was. Long-range teleportation.
Teleportation itself was not an uncommon gene. But it was this specific variant that was. The ability to teleport other objects from far distances was almost unheard of. There wer only a few instance in metahuman history where it appeared. All of them became soldiers, gangsters, or something that involved violence. Even when their powers could be used for peace. It was a shame to Darrick.
Darrick barely had time to jump out of the way. He then did what he was waiting to do. He surged the lights. Both Muscles and Sharkie could not take millions of volts of electricity coursing through their veins. And the blast only lasted for two seconds. They may have been tough, but their durability was no match for lightning. Well By the end of it, they were groveling on the floor for mercy. Then they disappeared again.
Darrick had a hunch.
He's going to give them gryoxilis. Shit what if he took it too?
Darrick sprinted down the hall. There was no telling what they could become with even more mutagns in their systems.
Darrick ran into a wall. Or rather, a wall of mutated muscle. On the other side, Darrick saw the Mystery Man. He also saw the other two thieves. Attached to the same body.
The monstrosity that was before him was sickening. It had the legs of mutant muscles. The arms of some red humanoid, probably the teleporter, and the head of a hammerhead shark. It was ten feet tall.
Holy shit...
It bellowed.
"I AM GRYOXIL MAXIMUS!!!"
Darrick knew there was only one way that this could have happened. All three took the gryoxilis for sure. That was obvious from the objects flying around the room. But then....the teleporter teleported all three of them to the exact same point in space and time, morphing all three together. As a doctor, the anatomy was quite interesting. As Supercharger, he was scared.
How can I possibly take this shit down?
Darrick looked again at the mystery man and locked eyes.

Re: Medicine for the Soul
Jeisen held one gun up facing the beast of a meta human, standing his ground defiantly before the Titan in front of him. It may have towered over him, but Jeisen stood seemingly unphased at the monstrosity.
Jeisen: "I AM GRYOXIL MAXIMUS.... Seriously? That's the best name you could come up with?"
Just a few seconds ago, Jeisen ha been staring at a large but normal meta human that came runnig down the hallway trying To escape. Jeisen drew his fun in the poor bastard and forced him to stop in the middle of the hallway. As te two stated each other down, the unknown meta got a crazy look in his eye as he took out one of the syringes. Even as fast as eisen could react he couldn't cross the distance in time to stop the man from injecting it into himself.
The transformation wasn't pretty to beig with but when te others began to get teleported into the thing as well, it got worse. Jeisen had to back up to avoid gettig got in it as well, locking down his boots to counter te pull. It only took a second, but now tere was this standing before him. Not taking his eyes off the beast for a second, Jeisen called out to the hero in a filtered voice
Jeisen: "doctor... I suggest you back away."
With a small click, Jeisen turned the guns power up all the way
Jeisen: " I can handle this"

Re: Medicine for the Soul
Darrick couldn't move. He wanted to. But the goddamn Gryoxil Maximus thing was holding him in place with sheer mental power.
Before the thing hit him with its gigantic arms, Darrick was able to dodge, breaking the mental bond. For a moment. Darrick was still having a hard time running, much less walking.
Where is the damn MTF?!
Darrick racked his brain for options.
What do I do?!
Darrick sure as hell wasn't going to let Mystery Man handle this shit alone. He would be crushed.
There was only one option: fight.
Darrick launched himself into the air with his magnetic soles and landed on one of the flying metal crates. He kicked away from it and blasted it with sheer electricity, causing it to explode on contact with the beast.
It roared furiously.
Darrick launched himself to another flying metal crate and repeated the process. He was careful not to get hit by the fucking enormous arm. He repeated the tactic again and again. Until the metal crates dropped.
It's smart. I can't just keep bashing him. There has to be a way...
Darrick was hoping that the Mystery Man was using the precious little time he had bought him.
Darrick's eyes flew to the breaker box.
Well that was easy enough....

Re: Medicine for the Soul
Not one to waste a chance, Jeisen charged forward the moment the good doctor made his move on the beast. The barrels seemed to give it a slight stun, all the time in the world Jeisen would need. Fast as lightning, Jeisen slide underneath the creatures legs in a baseball slide. As he slide on bye, he took a shot at the creatures right knee. Even at max power though, one shot wouldn't be enough to take it down. Not that Jeisen minded a little challenge. It did get the creatures attention back on to Jeisen, which was the main goal. It reared back with its fist and swung forward with inhuman accuracy.
Good thing Jeisen wasn't human. To him the creature was as predicable as a book he had read a thousand times. Bending like a river reed in the wind, Jeisen ducked backwards under the blow and continued it to a handspring to avoid the leg sweep that followed. This creature had strength unparrelled, but Jeisen was the wind. To him, this was a dance he knew all to well, spinning past blows and ducking under counters. Ever strike from the creature was read and answered back with a harsh counter attack of Jeisen.
Slowly but surely, Jeisen managed to drive the creature back to the breaker box. He had caught where the doctor was looking before and was moving him into position for the final blow.
