The Looks

Marcus is a bit shorter than the average male as he stands at only five foot five, his body is a solid mass though with one hundred and sixty five pounds of sturdy muscles packed on with a lot of working out. He is not overly noticeable in a sea of people, he could be considered good looking with a strong face and jaw but he isn't model or actor good looking just a bit above average. His hair cut short often spiking up slightly without the use of gel as he dislikes the flakiness of gel, his eyes a boring hazel color that most won't call beautiful or pretty. He has no noticeable scars, he has no tattoos, no unnatural hair color or eyes colors, all in all Marcus is one that can be forgotten rather easily. The things that stand out most about him is his wardrobe as he wears a black bowler hat and a black trench coat at all times the style is somewhat noticeable as no one else seems to wear these very often.

The Legacy

Personality:
Marcus is a rather twisted individual who does not care about those around him, he can pretend to care about others but it's just a mask put up in order to get what he wants from them. He has always lacked a well of emotions making it difficult for him during his younger years, as he got older he realized that one had to wear a mask to survive in this world, inside Marcus is nothing more than a dark hole. Sympathy, empathy, caring, love, kindness these are not words that one can apply to Marcus as he has never truly felt these emotions, for a normal person losing a loved one causes a period of mourning but for Marcus even if he was with someone every day for years he would not be affected by their death.

Marcus does not feel pain in the conventional sense, while he understands pain physically as he has been hurt before emotional pain is completely unknown to him, he sees people as nothing more than objects that can be used to amuse him. Marcus is amused by things but he is never truly happy with things because he does not know what he wants, he cannot think in the traditional sense like most people because he finds it unbearably boring. In his mind the majority of the world is completely insane and he is the sane one, the people acting like sheep just doing the same thing day in and day out seems like madness to him who has never stuck with anything in his life.

Marcus doesn't just go around killing people for no reason, while his reasoning can sometimes be considered crazy he always has a reason for doing so, the reasoning could be as simple as "you look like a nice guy so I'll kill you". His only real desire is to amuse himself and killing isn't overly amusing it just helps draw the attention of those that could be amusing, one could think of him like a child who believes they are right regardless of what they are doing. Marcus is rather lucid for someone of such a psychotic way of thinking, he can have rational conversations with people but always in the back of his mind there is that dark passenger inside of him plotting the next terrible thing he will do.

In some ways this makes him quite dangerous as he could suddenly turn on someone that considers him a friend for a reason that is only known to him, it also makes him very cunning because he is almost always wearing a mask of normalness as he doesn't want people to see the monster underneath. In some twisted fashion this may be Marcus understanding that he is not a good person as he tries to hide that darkness within him as if shielding people from it, the other side of would rather infect everyone with his way of thinking. Marcus doesn't really care what happens around him, he feels no real fear because death is not something he finds frightening because in his world it is all around him, he would rather avoid pain but it isn't necessarily something that he dislikes either.

To most Marcus can seem very random as he will do things that others see as pointless but every single thing that Marcus does has a purpose in his mind even if that purpose is completely insane. Despite his psychoticness he is intelligent to a certain degree, it is hard for him to focus on one thing for too long unless he finds it very interesting and as a result he is a jack of most trades yet a mast of none. Marcus is also a pathological liar, he will tell stories from off the top of his head or ones that he has in his head for years as if they were his own, it is difficult to differentiate truth from lie with him because he will use both in the same sentence and use the same face every time.

History:
With Marcus's way of thinking one might believe that he was raised by abusive parents or perhaps he was bullied very often but that is not the case. Marcus grew up as a rather normal child playing with other children, toy, even animals, there was nothing overly different about his life compared to most children, his father was rather distant with him working more than being home. His father was cheating on his mother with the secretary and seeing the emotional pain for a long time as a child made him wonder why people put their faith in others. As an intelligent young man he studied people and found them to be quite odd, he could see the pain upon their faces as they were betrayed by those they trusted, emotions ruled them and it only led to more pain thus Marcus simply turned them off.

It was like flipping off a switch and he felt freed, he acted the way he wanted but those around him including his parents were worried with the way he was acting, at times he could be violent, he would trick others into being violent for him, he didn't feel any remorse for what he had done. It was at a very young age that he realized people weren't interested in seeing the real person underneath they just wanted to see him smile and act like any other child out there, he discovered they all wanted to see the mask so he created one. Marcus grew up wearing this mask while containing his true feelings, they simply piled up and up until finally around the age of ten that he had a psychotic break, Marcus attempted to gouge out the eyes of an older boy because they looked like they shouldn't be seeing anything.

He felt nothing even though he had nearly blinded the boy, his parents had him committed to an institution for the insane telling him that it was for special people. Marcus only later realized that his parents were afraid of him because of what he had done and his lack of real remorse, when he learned he was stuck here until he was 'cured' he actually was glad because in here he did not have to hide himself. Finally the mask was ripped off and he was allowed to do whatever he wanted, he was quickly considered too dangerous to be with other patients as he attempted to harm more than one, they introduced him to electro shock therapy which is when his ability manifested.

Under the painful shocks of the institution's staff Marcus had the undeniable urge to kill them all, his ability manifested and suddenly Marcus burst from the restraints holding him in place. He wanted to hack them all to pieces and his hand turned into a sword, he slashed and slashed until there was nothing left to slash, the room covered in a deluge of blood and body parts, at the center stood a young Marcus smiling wickedly. Marcus left the institution that day and made his way home, he did not go home seeking the love of his parents, he went there because it was the only thing he knew and he needed somewhere to live until he could support himself.

Marcus literally held his parents hostage for close to another eight years, he left home at the age of eighteen to go to college, his parents using their time away from him moved away without informing him. They kept in contact as if they were still living in the same home but when Marcus came back at the age of twenty three he found another family in his home, he took the next year off tracking them down to a small city where they believed he would never find them. Unsure of why he cared that they left Marcus killed the two of them without warning, he was rather disappointed with himself afterwards as he felt there were things to be said between them.

Now finally free of all attachments to this world Marcus has found himself unable to figure out what he wants to do, he needs and craves amusement but is unsure of how to get it thus he will be trying many new things to get it......

The Powers

Power 1: Liquid metal body: Marcus's body is no longer made of flesh and blood but instead it is made of an organic liquid metal, with this ability Marcus is always liquid metal but may appear to be the same as anyone else by manipulating his form. In this form he can become very malleable, he can take physical blows that would kill most as his shape will simply disperse from the force of the blow and fall back into shape.

Power 2: Shape shifting/hardening: Marcus can adjust his shape and hardness at any point, his control is so perfect that he can copy almost anything that he sees whether it is an object, an animal, or a person. He can harden his body at any point to increase his durability if necessary.

Power 3: Self sustenance: Marcus being a liquid metal has no need for food, water, or air. (Rp Mechanic)

Power 4: Weapon shifting: Marcus can literally turn his limbs or even his head into a weapon, usually some kind of bladed weapons or blunt force as shooting off pieces of himself would only seek to weaken him.
