The Looks

Adem is a young-looking man of about 24 with medium brown skin. He is tall, broad-shouldered and solidly-built. His thick black hair is arched with a widow's peak but is not receding and is white at the temples. Adem has cultivated a patrician air and swagger, and this shows even in his most casual stance.

He does not have a standard costume, preferring to work in practical gear for his assignment. He usually wears a long coat to conceal his twin khopesh swords.

The Legacy

Personality: A superior-acting man who believes that the he is the next Mithridates and that his combat prowess is enough to earn him whatever he can take. He is usually law-abiding unless a lucrative job comes his way or he feels that his course of action is either justifiable or the most "correct" action to take.

Adem is not overly verbose, but he knows how to speak when he needs to make his point clear. Adem usually prefers to let his expression do the talking, though.

Adem is fascinated by history. In addition to Mithridates he has patterned his lifestyle after men like Alexander and Thutmose III. On the rare occasions that he rambles, it is about men like them.
History: Adem Siyah grew up in Crimea, and was regaled with long tales of the conquests of Mithridates the Great. He saw in this historical legend a man to emulate. Mithridates plotted with wise councilors to re-establish the empire of Alexander and nearly succeeded. Adem seeks to one day found his own state and show that personal might is as right a virtue as kindness or wisdom. He does not plan on being a despot, as he despises wanton cruelty, but rather the Platonic "benevolent dictator." In the mean time he works freelance as a mercenary. His past jobs have included legitimate security and escort duties, protection rackets, burglaries and more.

When he was a young man of seventeen Adem was on one of his customary hikes while playing hooky from school. He found himself being drawn further and further into the wilderness until he was thoroughly lost. A vision appeared to him among the desolate wastes. It came in the form of an old man wreathed in blue energy and spoke with a surprisingly strong voice.

The vision claimed to be a guardian of dynasties and conferred upon Adem the title of Conqueror, explaining that in each generation there were men and women gifted with the potential to establish a name and a dynasty, and that Adem was to be among those of this generation.

Since that day Adem has noticed that he is nearly impervious to damage, and that his martial skills, while not insignificant before, are now approaching unthinkable levels. This is in accord with the guardian's words, for as the spiritual successor to Mithridates he has been blessed with that ruler's legendary stamina and prowess.

Adem's eventual goal is to increase his personal power and material wealth to the point where he can support and fund a revolutionary state. To that end he is willing to work at whatever he needs in order to fulfill his dream.
