X meets Matt and Sin (closed to Sin and Alexander Clark)

it was another usual day in Pike Market when all of the sudden the Seattle regular X-98B saw someone he didnt recognize there in that general area a new person that moved to the city? an unregular tourist? he didnt know so he approached the man he looked fairly friendly

To say Alexander knew exactly why he was on his way to Seattle Washington would have been a complete lie, because he did not have much of an idea. Sure he knew that Matt was going out after some kind of magical artifact r thing that was in the area, and by default he was getting dragged along. Okay, dragged along may have been a bit strong, considering that he did not mind coming along with him, but that was beside the point. There was the mention of him getting some field experience, and as long as he got away from his father, Alexander would have done almost anything. The fact that he was now thousands of kilometers away from him was a massive plus within his book really, especially considering that it was with what he could call his best friend; and his only friend.

The trip itself was a brief one, which Alexander was rather thankful for, considering he was not really the type to enjoy traveling and things of that nature. The male chose to dress simply, in clean khaki pants and a t-shirt that he had dug up from one of his drawers, wearing the one that matt had given as an undershirt of sorts. Along with that, he had packed a few things in a bag with him, perhaps in hopes to prepare for whatever it was they would be dealing with, not that he really knew what that was in the first place. So far he would have be under the protection of his “mentor” or whatever it was Matt was to him at the moment. He taught the male things about the occult, and in return he was more than willing to listen to everything that was taught to him, so in that respect he was the student/apprentice.

While he had not been in America for too long, the chance that he had made even one friend was rather surprising for him. Upon reaching Seattle, they would get to work nearly instantly after doing a few things, which ended up with them in some kind of market. Alexander mostly decided to walk a few steps behind Matt, adjusting his glasses every once in a while and straightening his medium length brown hair with his fingers. What caught his attention was a strange male suddenly walking up to Matt, as if he knew him or something like that. Strange blue eyes peered beyond the frames of his glasses, as he considered the male for a second. A rather young looking native American male he was, and there was something overall strange about him, not that Alex would really say anything about it.

Well this was an interesting turn of events. Today was looking like it was going to be a strange one. For the Master-occultist that in itself was an interesting statement. Matthew stood there, in the marketplace with Alexander at his heels, before Matthew sighed and stopped his stride stepping back to stand at side with Alex. That bothered him deeply, that the taller and younger male insisted at trailing behind. There was too much wrong that could happen if Alex were behind him. If something came up form behind and attacked him, Matt would need to turn around before being able to even contemplate action. It was safer if he had Alexander in his view...even for himself. If Alexander were to turn to be an enemy, his back was too exposed for comfort. Matthew withdrew his phone and looked at the reception he had, shooting out a text to his brother and checking the weather.

    "It's gonna rain." Matt said, a small smile playing on his face. He LOVED rain, his favorite weather. Truth be told, he often times dreamed of moving to a place where it rained constantly, or very frequently anyway. He looked up from his phone and took in a sharp inhale as he shot a smirk to Alexander. The plain white tee-shirt was in contrast to his black shirt, and plaid flannel shirt left open over it. He wore torn up dark blue jeans and black converse shoes with his black hair spiked slightly messily, and his contact lenses allowed him sight that his glasses to rest upon and assist Alex. "How those glasses workin'?" He asked, a smirk on his face as he messed with the guy wearing his glasses. With a little chuckle Matt shook his head and looked back down to his phone, not entirely noticing the man whom was quickly approaching.

Felix walked up to the two men who looked new to the city and said "Hey you two need any help or anything?" he also sensed it was going to rain trying to observe details about the men he noticed that one of them (matt) was the others leader or mentor and noticed they were there for some reason besides the tourist sights most likely

His head snapped to Matthew as soon as he mentioned that it was going to rain, though something within how he had said so seemed to suggest that he was looking forward to the rain coming. Perhaps Matt liked the rain, and the fact that it was coming only meant that he would be able to enjoy it, which Alexander could completely understand, well to some extent. It appeared that the two were going for an opposite look as far as clothing went, Alexander appearing more formal while Matt was seemingly casual in most definitions of the word. His right index finger pressed into the bridge of the glasses, pushing them up slightly as he looked to his mentor. ”Looks like it is.” He muttered making a personal observation about the weather at the moment, blue eyes peering into the sky as if they would pierce the very heavens.

Then came the questions about the glasses, and if they were working for him, which they were in fact. Sure it took some time to get used to them, but it seemed that Alexander was doing fine with them now. Looking back down to Matt, a small smirk played along his features, one that so rarely showed itself. ”Yeah, they’re workin just fine.” Alex answered with a curt nod of his head as the pleasant expression played across his face. His eyes then took note of the male that was approaching the two, and then spoke out as if he had somehow guessed that they were not from around here, not that Alexander was sure how. He looked rather puzzled at the male, before looking to Matt as if unsure how to really react at that point.

Alex smiling seemed to sustain Matt's own for a moment. Actually having a decent friend...or someone who could remember him was a huge thing. Though the question that came to Matt's mind quite frequently, as of late anyways. Was he using Alex? Not in the traditional or carnal sense, but in completely honesty Matt did have to evaluate this. Matthew had the desire to be remembered... but the curse laid upon him prevented others form remembering him as soon as he left their sights. Which means that the second Matthew leaves anyone's sight...he is instantly forgotten, it doesn't matter who it is. Unless it's Alex or Blair...and he didn't know why. For some reason, those two always remembered him. They were the only two in all existence that he knew of. Which led him to ask himself. Am I using Alex? I want to be remembered...he can remember me...is that the only reason I'm nice to him? That couldn't be right. If he had truly only been kind to Alex, he would not have saved him from the Banshee, or the Crawler because he would have had no way of knowing.

Matthew just smiled, happy and content to make another smile and be remembered for it... even if he was never thanked for it. He knew it, and he knew that the other remembered it. If only he could find out why Alex could remember him...then he'd make others remember in the same way. He suddenly felt the shift in the air as Alex turned slightly, then looking to him almost as if her were lost, confused and unsure of what to do. It was kinda... like a puppy. Matt just smirked at Alex, obviously amused by the situation as he looked to the man before them. Looked older than them, not by too much, then again Matt sucked at the age game. He seemed to fall in about 21 or so. Matthew DID excel at measurement's however, and since he was just a little taller than Alex he estimated the man about six foot even, wearing layers of clothing. Matt's hair stood up on end, his intuition led him to believe this man was not all he appeared.

"Not particularly no, thanks though." Matt said. He was aware that this man was not quite right, though not quite wrong in the same sense. It was... conflicting to say the least. In the end he did not care if this man was empowered or not...if he was good or evil. So long as he conducted himself friendly to himself and Alex, that was all that mattered. Though the moment he turned Hostile he would find himself in more danger than he could fathom. Matthew did not mind being threatened, but his friends, and especially his "pupil" (if you could even call Alex that) were not ones you threatened... unless you wanted to get hurt that is. "Actually, uh. MAYBE you can help us. I'm looking for This little thing right here." Matt said before pulling out a photo from his wallet, shifting through a couple fifty dollar bills that he carried for certain expenses... mainly purchasing the artifact he was looking to acquire. The Picture was of the very Artifact he was looking for. Not long ago, while in Seattle Matthew "acquired" an Emerald Dragon statue with an encrypted message on it. He needed this Emerald tablet to translate the message, which is what led him here currently. It being Magical worked for Alexander...but the true reason Matthew needed the Tablet was buried so far deep that even Alex knew nothing of.

"People think that it may be here in the market, or someone might know about it. Figured you seem like the type who knows the area." Matt said with a little smile, not trusting this man at all, scanning over him for weakness should he turn out to be a magical creature in a guise.

Felix recognized this artifact and said "ohhh that your after that?" knowing its uses according to legend but he didnt think much of it as long as it doesnt really hurt him or the people he protects"you two treasure hunters or something? and i do know where that item is and i can lead you to it... but..." said Felix looking upon them questioningly

So the stranger could possibly help them in their quest for whatever it was that they were looking for. This seemed like something that Alexander should have been pleased about, and he was quite pleased with the results. Matt would produce an image of the thing they were looking for, Alex scooting forward somewhat to get a good view of it, though he had already internalized how the thing looked to begin with. It was an emerald tablet, one that was supposed to help him with deciphering something else entirely, probably something of the same material engraved with something that the male could not read. As soon as Matthew had shown the male the picture, it seemed to click that he knew where it was, then he asked if they were treasure hunters, something that Alex found rather amusing personally.

He was unsure if they could call themselves treasure hunters, considering that this was his first time going along with the slightly older male on any sort of trip thing. It was the tagline at the end of his sentences that caught his interest, a single but that caused him to cock his head to the side questioningly. "But?” Alexander found himself speaking out loud, accent rearing its head once again.

"Nah, we're just students man. It's just an uncommon find, ya know?" Matt played it off as best he could, but Alexander seemed to be on top of everything. Whereas Matthew had the patience (and the desire to stay away from home as long as possible) Alex seemed ready to chomp at the bit. Okay, not really...he simply stated something to make the man move his sentence along, though Matthew would have been able to find it on his own...secretly wishing to showcase off his deductive skills and share the analytical processes with Alex. Thoooough in retrospect...yeah good thing this dude came along. Matt probably would have scared the poor guy off.

"So... what does "But" mean?" Matt asked, looking back to Alex and arching an eyebrow. Did this kid expect something in return? Likely. Though Matt would very easily decline anything below moral standard... not sure about Alex, though he was never one to judge... but Alex seemed a little too "similar" and so it was assumed that they would easily both leave if forced into an amoral situation.

Felix finished his analyzing of the men and hearing their answers to his questions he finished his sentence "but you are going to keep up with me i move rather fast but there is quite the colorful display to follow you two okay with that? (referring to his Neon run) "and uh why you guys after this if you dont mind me asking? im always interested in historical stuff and things with quite the uniqueness and culture..." he said.

Matthew was quick to come up with a cover story, and Alex would go along with it willingly. All he needed to do was nod along with him, accepting the fact that they were students, considering that they were in fact students. Matt would then go along with his asking what the male meant by but, which lead into the explanation. This alone suggested that the male they were talking to was some kind of metahuman, and if that were the case he had a feeling things would go south quickly.

"Actually this is a personal errand, to be honest. I'm trying to...locate someone important to me. I need this tablet to be able to do that." Matt said. HE spoke truthfully, to an extent. However he himself did not speak genuinely with his emotions. The person was important to him. It was important that this person pay for their idiocy. Matthew felt a grumble within his belly. True enough, the male was not one for revenge, he was not one to harm another. But for some reason...just within the past 48 hours...he had become Matthew, Idiot-hunter extraordinaire. The mention of a colorful display intrigued Matthew greatly, and it was this little word that sparked an interest not only in the finding of the tablet, but the unraveling of this person's "colorful" secret.

"I can manage to follow along I'd wager." Matt said as he reached into his pocket. He tossed Alexander his Cintamani stone and chuckled. "Make a wish" he said with a wink. His words had become his little "slogan" for every time he passed off the stone to another. Alexander likely knew the drill, ask for the power to keep up with this man. (+4 Power points to wherever Alexander chooses in order to keep up with the man.) Matthew himself would be funneling his own minor chaos control into his speed and running as fast as possible to keep up, hopefully he would manage to follow this man...if he took off. But if not, hopefully he could follow a trail.

"Alright then gentlemen just follow me" Felix said as he began his neon run towards where he last saw the tablet it wasnt too far away but it was rather elevated so after he started running he ran up the wall of a building and stopped to wait for the others.
