Slam awoke several hours later, his throat was tight and it was difficult to breathe. He was groggy and his head throbbed. He spotted Gary and Pain in the corner.
"What the fuck, mates?" Slam spoke rasply.
"Me and Pain had to take some drastic measures to bring you back to your current self. You woke up madder than a greased up shaved cut with mayonaisse on its face."
