The Awakening

Slam rabbed Pain's head. He took the knee but was quick enough to bash Pain's head against his own retracting knee.

Pain's nose was broken on impact,but began to heal...He countered with a punch to the gut.

Slam caught the punch and threw one of his own.

Pain caught the punch and began to push at him...Pain head butted him again.

Slam took another headbutt and threw his own back.

"A dead lock...Fun..." Pain grunted, he began to try and twist Slam's arms.

Slam let him but picked Pain up into the air. He began spinning him around quickly and towards various obstacles.

Pain squeezed onto his wrists, pushing his fingers into the pressure points.

Slam's arms collapsed, but not before slamming Pain through the doorway and into a computer.

Pain picked up the electronics, they were sparking with electricity as he tossed them at Slam...He then charged in at him like a bull...

Slam deftly deflected the debris(w00t for alliteration). He took the tackle to his midsection, which knocked the wind out of him, and made him cough up a little blood. But he was still in a rage so he was able to keep his footing. He picked up Pain and powerbombed him through the floor. As Slam waited for his spine to readjust from the impact he had a sudden stabbing pain in his head.

Gary had watched on, hoping Pain would be able to swiftly take care of Slam, who was unaided by his bionic arms. Even without them, Slam seemed to be a formidable opponent for Pain. As the two caved through the floor, Gary began digging into Slam's mind to hopefully restore his mind to its original state.

Pain rolled back to his feet..."Now it's time to hurt..." He grabbed onto his throat..."It's a long way down..." He dug his thumb into the side of his wind pipe....He then jumped into the air with him and choke slammed him into the ground.

Slam was pulled back to reality as the air was cut off from him. He hit the ground hard and felt part of his windpipe beginning to collapse. He gasped for air and pawed at Pain's arm. He finally found the reserves to rear back a punch.

Pain was hit by the punch in the face, blood poured from his lips. But he then threw a punch downwards at Slam.

The punch connected with Slam's struggling head. As fate would have it, the punch caught him on the temple, knocking Slam unconscious.

Gary began prying into the mind of Slam, bringing back memories of his past, of Gary, of Pain, of Melinda(Slam's wife), and of Slam's work with GUN in taking out DoomPlague and other various evils.

"I think we got it Pain. He should be fine when he wakes up. Just in case though, would you mind staying nearby so you can knock him out if he wakes up angry again."

"What ever man...I don't mind...A round with Slam is always fun..."
