12 Days Of DC

A while ago, Rinne made a Marvel version of this. I figured we could all get to know each other's taste in heroes and villains an such in the DC universe. So, I'm starting the 12 Days of DC.
Everyday I'll ask a new question and you all reply to it with your opinion. Today we'll start easy.

Who's your favorite hero and why?

Mine goes to Nightwing, he has proven time and time again you can count on him. When I was a little kid I loved Robin, and I feel I grew up with him. Everyone Trusts Dick Grayson. He's a strong leader, and a great ally. He never turns his back on those in need.

I'm gonna have to go with Roy Harper, or Red Hood.


I'll say Roy as Arsenal, because sharpshooters are sick, and I like his soul patch.

The Green Arrow

I'll follow here in AI's 'footsteps' and go with an Archer and one of the reasons I took up archery when I was younger. Now I know this is a pic of the CW's Arrow but I really like the show and their version of him so here he is. My favorite DC character, Oliver Queen.

The Flash because he's enjoyable, interesting and highly underestimated.

I'm going to have to go with Oracle. I love how DC shows that heroes are not invincible and can be hurt. It adds tension to the world of superheroes. Oracle didn't let her injuries stop her from being a hero though. No other hero is as inspiring to me as her.

J'onn J'onzz, or Martian Manhunter. Technically, the reason 'why' is all in his powers. Telepathy, shape-shifting, phasing, invisibility, flight, and super strength. When watching Justice League, I always liked his "Wild Card" aspect. They all had their roles, but J'onn had the ability to do things the other members could not.

I personally liked Robin in the televised version of teen titans. My reasons are similar to Seraph's but i am.still a little girl and I love Robin dearly. I like his personality because it is quite similar to me.

Day Number 2 - Who is your favorite Villain and why?

Mine goes out Mr.Wilson. From a young kid I've learned to not trust the black and orange mask. The Titans were my favorite team, and he continuously made their lives hell. From his traps, to his fights, he has kept me entertained and on the edge of my seat wondering what he will do next. A quality all good villains should posses.
Look out Slade, The Titans are coming.

THE JOKER

The Clown Prince of Crime has always been my favorite villain and perhaps always will be, he's insane, unpredictable, flat out insane and just plain Bad Ass. Who else can stand up to the Batman every single day of his villain life and even have Batty believe him to be his arch enemy> The only man Batman has to force himself from killing every single day is the one man he can't get rid of unless he does kill. Not only that but he always has you sitting on the edge of your seat wondering just what this insane mad man will do next, whether its a fake gun, an explosion, or even fake his death.

Not to jack Andrew's swag, but I gotta go with Deathstroke also. He's just such a boss.

I see your Joker and raise you one Harley Quinn. The psychotic duo are by far my favorites, but I have to put my personal bias with Harley. Ever since she first showed up in the Batman Animated series, I've loved her to death. She is so psychotically devoted to Mister J that it makes my skin crawl. They really are a match made in the "It's a Small World" ride at DIsneyland that always drove me crazy. Here's to you, Puddin'!

Not sure if he even qualifies as an actual villain but the episode of Batman TAS he appeared in is one of the best on any show ever.It was the episode I remember more than any other.I give you Mr. Freeze.

My Hero, for day one, would have to be HAWKGIRL! Haha.

I've never been into the comics, and I'm certainly not that big of a super hero buff in the first place, but something 'bout her always made me like her.. prolly the fact she can fly, and uses a fucking mace to fight with. Raaad.

Day Two: My favorite Villain has gotta be Catwoman. <3

I kinda always pictured her as a more... renegade type. She's pretty vicious and what not; but she does steal things and loves to fuck with Batman.. hehehe.

My hero and villain choices are a bit cliche, methinks.. but I'm not a hardcore comic reader/comic buff so please don't shoot me!

First Day


Forcewave has already mentioned my #1 hero so I will continue down to my second or third favorite, he and Mister Miracle switch from time to time. I like Negative Man (Larry Trainor) because I've always been a fan of not only the Doom Patrol but also his constant negative attitude, the limitations on his powers are pretty cool as well. He's always been my favorite example of the nice guy finishes last, even more so then Peter Parker but that's just me, since he basically hates his power, himself, and can't even impress the woman of his dreams. I can relate to that on some level.

Second Day


Black Manta has always been pretty stone cold evil, going so far as to murder Aquaman's infant son in cold blood at one point. He could actually be more evil and more insane then Joker but that's not easy to prove by any means. Black Manta was actually a really popular villain for a while to the point that DC Comics actually had to impose the 'Aquaman Embargo' preventing any Aquaman villains to appear outside of Aquaman comics. He's had some other pretty rad moments as well but I'm getting tired of typing for this.

Slam bam in a can. I'm done.

Day 3 - Who's you're favorite Alien?

I'm going to have to go with Superboy. I know he's only half alien, but it still counts in my book. I enjoy his hot temper and irrational thinking, mixed with his loyalty and raw power. I've been told a few times I look like a real life version of Con-El, and this only added to me liking him more. Connor is half Kryptonian, half earthling, and full badass. When you see that black and red "S" tee shirt, you know you fucked up.
