Day 3 - Who's you're favorite Alien?
I'm going to have to go with Superboy. I know he's only half alien, but it still counts in my book. I enjoy his hot temper and irrational thinking, mixed with his loyalty and raw power. I've been told a few times I look like a real life version of Con-El, and this only added to me liking him more. Connor is half Kryptonian, half earthling, and full badass. When you see that black and red "S" tee shirt, you know you fucked up.

I see "Not Phoenix" Superboy and raise him a Miss Martian
Idk I've just always found her really interesting in a bitch, preppy, sister like way to the YJ show and she has a hidden back ground that they haven't revealed too much about in the first place. Plus she's like the only alien beside Martain Manhunter and Superman/Superboy I know.

Re: 12 Days Of DC
Day 4 Who is your favorite Team?
Mine will have to go to the Titans. The Teen Titans were a team of young super-heroes who were the former sidekicks of older, and more experienced heroes. They first came together when Robin, Aqualad and Kid Flash responded to an emergency taking place in the hamlet village known as Hatton Corners. They have provided me with years of entertainment and I love each and every member in a different way. They stand for Truth, Justice, and Pizza. When there's trouble, you know who to call.

The Brotherhood of Evil are some of the best villains. Maybe to be some of the craziest bad guys out their they've had a rooster with some people you're likely to either never see again or don't want to. They're awesome to the eleventh power. Any team named after this one should know that they're slightly worse by comparison.
Also, because I missed it. Favorite Alien.
Well, either I missed it and you made a typo on current day or you changed the question. I don't care.
Starro is hands down one of the coolest aliens out there. He's a Cthulhu Space Starfish. Some people find him lame but part of being a comic book reader is being into lame things and thinking they're awesome. Otherwise you probably wouldn't like Superheroes in general. He controls minds and makes good guys bad. The thing is a badass.

Re: 12 Days Of DC
For me, it's the League of Assassins (aka League of Shadows). Ra's al Ghul and his daughter are two of my favorite villains. It's always hard to tell what the League is up to, or if they are secretly behind a plot of another villain. Their shadow games always excite me in the comics, the movies, and the video games. My favorite Robin (Damian) also exists thanks to them.

Re: 12 Days Of DC
I gotta go with the Outsiders, they're the next step up from the Titans, and I really enjoyed seeing my favorite teenaged heroes grow into badasses.
And Phoenix has given me the okay to continue the days of DC while he doesn't have access to a computer, and he told me today's would be our Favorite Couples!
Alright, because I'm a goofball, I love Beast Boy. And to be honest, my preference in women would definitely lean towards a Raven type person, dyed hair, dark clothes, piercing, etc. So naturally Beast Boy and Raven are my favorite couple, a close second is definitely Roy Harper and Cheshire.

Re: 12 Days Of DC
I knew this one was going to come up. Let's face it we probably all have one. I was waiting and I was prepared. My favorite couple from DC is none other than Monsieur Mallah and The Brain. Almost every time they show up they are beyond the evil, wanting the destruction of the entire world more often then not, because they hate everything except each other. They loved one another before they lost their original bodies and they love each other so much it does not matter what they look like. That's true love. This relationship is so good it's not just the best gay couple in comics, it's not just the best couple in comics, this is the best couple in literature. Hands down.
Now, be subjected to the pictures I have accrued of their love.

Re: 12 Days Of DC
Really? Only one person did day 5? Sad, but Archer used a great couple. Anyways, I forgot to ask Andrew what Day 6 was supposed to be, so I'm going to have to improvise. Let's go with favorite/most tragic death.
I'm gonna go with Jason Todd, even though it wasn't a permanent death by any means. I just really like Jason, and reading that scene/watching it in Under The Red Hood really got to me.

Re: 12 Days Of DC
I missed day 5, so I'll make up for it now. As you can tell, everything of mine is following a Batman theme (even though I haven't mentioned the Bats yet). So now I will. My favorite couple in DC is Batman and Talia al Ghul. I know they didn't always get along and Talia was a bit nuts later on. But hey, they did make a baby. An awesome baby.

Re: 12 Days Of DC
A lot of what I'm going to be presenting is based on the Animated series, some entirley, or movies. So let's not get into a fight about what's canon.
Favourite Hero - Blue Beetle
Favourite Villain - Lex Luthor
Favourite Alien - Brainiac
Favourite Team - Crime Syndicate of America
Favourite Couple -The Question & Huntress
Favourite Death - Thomas and Martha Wayne
Favourite Hero - Blue Beetle
- Spoiler:
- I really like the ideas behind Jaime Reyes actually. Firstly, he's seem to be just a quirky if a bit needy teenage which is obviously relateable to a lot of people, with a serious case of hero worship in some iterations. What I enjoy most though stems from his suit; It's a literal weapon of war that is designed to bring humanity to its knees, ran by something of a strange and alien Artificial Intelligence. But Jaime uses it to help people where he can. He's walking around in essentially a super fighter jet and trying to use this large source of weaponry not for his own ends but for other people. The AI and him become so close friends that when it begins to try and force him into fulfilling it's role as a world conqueror he convinces it otherwise. He has one trait that I can identify with heartily, his desire to just always be better.
Favourite Villain - Lex Luthor
- Spoiler:
- Do I really need to explain this? Lex Luthor is a great villain, if only because he is a Human Champion that people don't really want. Cunning, intelligent, Industrious. He wants the best for mankind and what's the best for mankind is Lex Luthor on top, in charge and with the smartest most powerful weapons under his control. If Superman wasn't a paragon in every way, if there was even a little hint that he was actually terrible for mankind people would turn to Lex Luthor. And to be honest, it's nice that the Son of Krypton could do any limitless thing but can't do anything to really hamper or halt Luthor's creativity. And let's be honest, Luthor is the foundation for a lot of other heroes and some of the most interesting stories.
Favourite Alien - Brainiac
- Spoiler:
- I like my Robots, I like my Aliens, I like my Villains. Brainiac merges all three of those with his little quirks of character. The iteration I like the most however is Brainiac the Archiver. An ancient computer with numerous minds collecting cities from every world in the universe that supports life, shrinking them and then keeping them in a jar forever as a perfectly preserved museum piece. This zoo of intergalactic life is kept as a living memory of a universe which'll slowly freeze from entropy at some point. The best thing about these habits? The little bottle city of Kandor, a tiny piece of superman which he goes onto obsess over for much of the rest of his life and even fails to save in some timelines.
Favourite Team - Crime Syndicate of America
- Spoiler:
- Come on, I mean how could you not love the dark mirror version of the Justice League? Ultraman, Superwoman, Power Ring, Johnny Quick and Owlman all make interesting alternatives to what happens when power corrupts. Ultraman and Owlman however have a special place in my heart, mostly because of how vile and powerful Ultraman is and how Nihilistic and in charge Owlman really is. The movie about them, Crisis on Two Earth's, does a fantastic job with James Woods as Owlman. An honourable mention goes to their Hero counterparts, the beloved villains of our universe that continue to be unable to catch a break.
Favourite Couple -The Question & Huntress
- Spoiler:
- Mostly from the old Justice League cartoon, where The Question was much more of an oddball almost Rorschach figure of paranoia and oddity. But somehow this was enough to attract Huntress, and I think I've not laughed or been interested in the dynamics of a couple since. This version of Quesiton remains the one I enjoy the most, but he needs a straight man (or woman in this case) to bounce off and Huntress makes a pretty good choice.
Favourite Death - Thomas and Martha Wayne
- Spoiler:
- It often get's overlooked because it's so ingrained into our minds that Batman is an orphan but... Anyone was afraid to lose their parent at a certain age. I'm still afraid of it now. But the grief and the terror of having to see it happen in front of your own eyes? To two of the greatest people in the city (to you and Gotham alike)? There are some version where it's actually indirectly Bruce's fault for wanting to go see the Mask of Zorro more then once that causes Thomas to suggest they take the short cut that leads to their death. The two of them are always treated with an element of respect, I think, when it comes to writers simply because of the determination their deaths brought into Bruce Waynes life. One bad night ruins a young man's life forever and he never really, truly accepts that this terrible thing could have happened.

Re: 12 Days Of DC
Favorite Hero - Take a Guess.
Favorite Villain - Black Adam
I'll do the other one's later.
- Spoiler:
It's a bird! It's a plane!
It's...
The Metropolis Marvel!
The Last Son of Krypton!
The Man of Tomorrow!
The Man of Steel!
IT'S SUPERMAN!
I feel like I don't need to do much explaining here.
He fights for truth, justice, and the American way (atleast what it should be.)
He's the good guy and he always will be.
A lot of people see that as a strike against him, but to me it's part of what makes him so great.
Where other men would give up or give in. He refuses. Whenever there's a crisis everyone turns to him because they know they can and they know they should.
and don't tell me you don't think its at least a little bit cool that even with all the power in the world, and even though he isn't a human at all, most of the time he is the most human character in DC's entire lineup.
There are characters I like just as much, but he will always be #1 for me.
There will always be a Superman.
Favorite Villain - Black Adam
- Spoiler:
All the power of Superman but none of the morals.
A violent and supremely powerful tyrant.
In a lot of ways Teth Adam has become DC's Namor, but with more muscles and a much more vicious streak.
These days Adam rules the country of Kahndaq. It's his homeland, and his fierce loyalty to it has led him to commit a slew of atrocities (starting WWIII all by himself anyone?).
Where Namor's fights for Atlantis still typically tend to keep him on the hero side of Anti-Hero, Adam's for Kahndaq and vengeance for his wife, Isis, do not.
You can sympathize with nearly everything he's done as very little of it was ever unprovoked, but I don't think you can ever forgive it even if in some cases you very well might have done the same yourself.
It was pretty tragic to see him nearly become a good person only to have it all ripped away.
However, the citizens of his country still view him as a hero.
I'll do the other one's later.

Re: 12 Days Of DC
The greatest death, if you can really count it as such, was that of the second Flash, Barry Allen. He had been a mainstay of the Justice League and one of the most iconic characters in the industry. It is actually Barry Allen that is commonly attributed for ushering in the Silver Age of comics, though some do debate that. I really don't know if this can be considered a death since he technically didn't die, he was really pulled into the Speed Force, an alternate dimension where everyone is gifted with super speed, and he stayed there for a long time. Staying dead longer then most heroes these days it seems. All in all though, he did it to save the day from The Anti-Monitor.
This actually brought another thing up that is mildly interesting as well, this also shows the once good natured rivalry between Marvel and DC, but in Marvel the death of Barry Allen took him to that universe where he beat their fastest supers in a race. Making Barry Allen one of the fastest beings in two Comic Book Industries. That isn't related but if you didn't know it then it's kind of cool. I always like to tell people about it.
That's the best picture I could find sadly. That's supposed to be Barry Allen though.
