Personality: Darren is a good, kind, and generous person... when it suits him. He doesn't like to watch other people be treated unfairly or hurt. But He isn't one to go rushing in head on, he'd rather get the whole story before making a decision. He is harsh on most people but becomes nicer to people as he gets to know them. He has what it takes to be a leader but he hates it when people rely on him. He tries his best to hide his powers.

History: Darren was your average kid. He had both his parents, he lived with his middle class family, and he never had many problems. But back then Darren was an African-American. When Darren turned 8 his parents went on a 4 year trip to Africa. Since Darren came from the states he was instantly alienated by the other African kids. In Africa Darren met a young white-haired Alchemist who he instantly became friends with. Darren spent all his time with the Alchemist learning about elements, the way of the world, and even some basic classes of beginner Metal Manipulation (turning diamonds into rings). Darren didn't care about the diamonds, nor the knowlege and power he was obtaining by learning about metals and their chemistry. All he cared about was spending time with his friend and learning from him. It was the happiest time of his life.
On the fourth year of Darren's trip his parents were killed in a car crash and Darren was gravely injured on their way to the airport in the middle of the desert. The young alchemist was found them right after it happened. The alchemist looked over the the parents and buried them because all he could see in their future was a life full of worry and misery. But he looked at his eight year-old friend whose life was slowly slipping away and saw something that made his eyes grow wide with surprise. The alchemist smiled. he lifted the boy with both arms and walked barefoot 3 miles to the nearest hospital. He handed the young 8 year-old boy to the nearest nurse, Walked outside, and disintegrated into a pile of sand which was blown away with the wind.
When Darren woke up he felt weird so he went to the closest mirror and looked through. In the mirror he saw a young boy with long black hair, light skin, and red eyes. Darren realized that this boy in the mirror was him. Freaking out Darren jumped on his hospital bed and saw a book. It was written by the alchemist and it was addressed to Darren. Darren cracked open the book and read the first page which explained the uses and limitations of metal manipulation and some projects that Darren could work on.
Ten years later Darren lives alone and is in Atlanta and goes to high school. He still practices the things in the book and he has dreams of the life of his master but some of them seemingly took place hundreds of years ago. Darren decided to open the book to the last page one day. he read the last sentence and it said. "You will do great things maybe even greater things then I have done."

Powers: Metal Manipulation- User can move, shape and otherwise manipulate any metal and metallic substances, allowing them to make weapons, armor, or even floating metal platforms. Like Magnetism Manipulation, users can control metal and bend it to their will. Unlike it though, some metal are not magnetic, thus this ability can control those metal that even magnetism cannot.
Application:
Construct any objects made of metal (that doesn't use electricity)
Shape, compress, and/or otherwise manipulate all metallic substances.
Repair metal objects.
Sharpen/dull metal objects.
Iron Sand Manipulation
Dermal Armor by forming metal around one's body.
Limitations:
Users may only be able to manipulate one element, or one type of metal (e.g. Iron).
Controlled metal is affected by everything that normal metals would be, although the user is perfectly able to use their power to return the metal in its original shape and/or controlling it even under these forces:
melt under extreme heat (Fire Manipulation or Magma Manipulation).
turn brittle and shatter under extreme cold (Freezing).
Can be rusted (Water Manipulation).
Extremely vulnerable to Electricity and Magnetism Manipulation, though some metals (such as gold) are not magnetic.
