Personality
In all honesty, William is the exact opposite of Wright Price. Why he stays working for him is unknown, but William has proven time and time again that he is a capable and kind person, offsetting the brash nature of Price.
Even with this major difference, Price sees William as his closest friend, and usually keeps him close at hand.

History
William's father, a farmer, sold him into the Price family shortly after he was born. William never knew his own parent's, so was raised on the compound to become a servant.
On his 18th birthday, he was hired to be Wright Price's personal assistant. From that point on, his life became one misery after the other. Wright wasn't cruel to him, by any means, and in fact saw William as one of his closest friends. But to William, being stuck with someone so unbearable was hell. Always being dragged around to do the dumbest things, William grew to just accept things as they were, because complaining usually ended with a firm beating.

William was born with an incredible level of intelligence, completely overshadowing Price's. This didn't matter, however, because that was really the only thing he had on Price.

After witnessing first hand how weak William was, Price began instructing him in basic defense, where William mastered the art of swordplay.

Now, William tags along with his "Master" through the most embarrasing endeavors, from scuba diving in the antarctic ocean, to hangliding over Mount Vesuvious.

Aside from incredible intelligence and a mastry of swordsmanship, WIlliam doesn't have any defining abilities.
