How time has weathered us all(Closed to Ninja) Empty How time has weathered us all(Closed to Ninja)

Post by Arcana August 22nd 2011, 9:12 pm

The rain fell heavily upon the roof of the bar, yet didn't reach his ears one bit. Sean sips lightly on the martini held precariously between his index finger, and thumb. Lightly tapping the glass against his other hand, as he mulled over a few thoughts. Most of them inconequential to anything, he still found them important enough to think over. Greyish eyes glancing over the wooden bar, as the bartender gave him an odd look, though didn't say anything. Just sliding another drink to Sean as he finished the one before it, still not close to drunk. Though he knew that was how his body worked anyway. Anoyingly well, but thats how things were. Damn genetics, and their cruel jokes. Something in the pit of his stomach gave him an ominous feeling about this day, yet he couldn't quite place it. Though he did stand out with a katana strapped to his side. Sean was suprised a SWAT team didn't descend upon him at this moment.

His black hair streaked with blonde fell over his right eye, a little shaggily. Close to the peircing in the right side of his lip, as he felt absenmtly over the huge rip in the knee of his tight jeans. People sat away from him, as if he radiated an aura of danger. Though he didn't blame them. He was pretty dangerous, and no one would want to mess with him. Unless they had a deathwish. Even the local gangs knew his face well enough to stay away if they saw him. Though superpowered individuals were another story, they were harder than the police, that was for sure. The frayed fingerless gloves were beggining to grow a little ragged, yet Sean didn't mind, as he ordered another drink, Draining his martini dry.

The guy nodded, sliding another drink to him without so much as a word, though Sean wasn't in a talking mood really, he just wanted to enjoy a good drink. Until he could get himself drunk, but that seemed a little hard. Maybe he had finally become immune to alcohol, and couldn't get drunk? Whatever it was, he would find out soon enough, as he took another sip. People curious about how a guy who looked 15 was drinking, but he had the ID to prove he was 21, so thats all that mattered. That,a nd he could kill them all with pretty much a thought, thought hey didnt know that.

How time has weathered us all(Closed to Ninja) Empty Re: How time has weathered us all(Closed to Ninja)

Post by Guest August 22nd 2011, 10:27 pm

The night that was in front of Eirius was a disgrace, the drains of this city overflowing with water and filth, and not only the filth of materialistic garbage but the filth of mankind. A few lowly bums gathered under a bus stop site to get out of the hard rain. Eirius snickered as he watched the street rats huddle to keep their worn rags dry. These people made him sick the ones who had bummed their way through life only to get what they had coming to them. He turned away from the pitiful seen and started to walk the street up the lane just an aimless wonderer drifting about in the corruption. He didn’t mind what was rain to him, nothing but a friend a worthy ally a powerful weapon at his fingertips. He then heard a loud clang from behind a dumpster his attention was quickly drawn to the sharp noise.

He zoomed in and he saw a small old creeper come from the dumpster hull. He was just sickened by the appearance of the old man just ragged and torn because his paths in life lead him down a road covered with weeds and brush trapping his motives in nothing but despair and a life of struggle. He then thought about his own problems he remembered what he had found when he had returned to his olden village. This is what was on his mind the whole time, he was troubled and being troubled for some men leads you down a path just like these poor excuses for a human. He had all along left the old man way back in the lane and in his mind he wandered off and dispersed. He looked up to a bright glow that caught his attention easily, a sign for a local bar which looked as rough as his mind, but he didn’t care he wanted a drink and honestly one of his first. He was never a drinker or any of a typical type to bend rules of the good boy rule book, but now he really didn’t care his mind was distraught and torn. He headed for the door looking at the glow that caught his first attention which read O’Leary’s Irish pub.

“Irish eh?” he thought “Better be worth it.” He finished the thought and entered the bar. He shifted through a small crowd of people and went to the darkest end of the bar and sat down at the stool. He used his brain here no one would serve whiskey to a eighteen year old boy. The bar tender walked over and asked with an old husky voice “what’ll it be.” Eirius stamped a few bills on the table and asked for Jack. He used a deep rough voice to disguise his own and without another word the bartender headed for the shelf pulled down the whiskey and brought a shot glass to the “man.” Eirius looked at the bartender as he poured the glass full. “Leave the bottle Eirius said slapping a few more bills on the table, he picked up the glass and stared hard at the brown liquid and then muttered out under his breath “Here’s to you mom and pop may your death had been swift and clean.” He quickly guzzled the shot the whiskey slightly burned his throat and made him feel alert. He smacked the glass back down on the table grabbing the bottle for another taste of sin.

How time has weathered us all(Closed to Ninja) Empty Re: How time has weathered us all(Closed to Ninja)

Post by Arcana August 22nd 2011, 10:47 pm

Sean finished off what seemed like glass number 23 of martinis, yet he was only gettign buzzed, and that annoyed him greatly. He wanted to get a little drunk for the money he was spending, but the money never would really run out for him as long as he killed for a living. He wouldn't end up like the homeless out on the street, he had someone to take care of, and couldn't let her end up like them. He didn't want a life of homelessness like he did for a year, all alone in the cold city of New York. Though those days were past, and he had forsaken the ones he called his friends. Sul-Fury, and Pain alike, leaving him with a young Asian girl. Life sure had a way of messing with him, and cruely. Though Sean ddin't pay it much mind, as he took a huge gulp of his next martini, now it not having taste at all. Just a liquid that slipd icely down his throat like a poison. index finger tapping against wood, eyes drifting over to a familar face. Though he was a little different from the face he knew.

Of course he had those unmistakable eyes, but that eye color was pretty common. Maybe it was his face, or the hair? Whatever it was, Sean felt like he knew him, and that was enough of a reason to look at him. Making sure his glances went unnoticed, though that may have not helped him at all. As he reclined his short seeming legs up in the stool, though feet didn't touch the floor. Considering that he was only about 5'4, and these seats were way off the floor. Not many people were inbetween them, so he decided to just go for it. As he stepped from the seat, and moved over to the vacant seat next to the kid. Tapping the martini glass against the wood counter top.

Coughing into a clenched fist, Sean looked in Erius' direction, raising a periced eyebrow, as he finished off the last of his drink, eyes scanning the drink. "jack eh? pretty good drink if you ask me, but not my taste." Sean stated plainly, resting his elbow against the wooden bar lazily, chin laying on his palm. As he waited for a response.

After drinking over a dozen shots the bottle began to lighten up, Eirius was not even on a buzz this stuff was weak for his immune system but it just made him feel better. He began to feel like a modern day wino slurping drink after drink of the hard stuff. He sipped another shot and put the glass down again shaking his head. He was so caught up in his thoughts he hardly noticed the man seating himself beside him. He thought “great I’m not in the mood for chit chat what does this bastard want.” Keeping his face forward pouring another shot he heard the man speak up.

"Jack eh? pretty good drink if you ask me, but not my taste." His eyes widened as if hearing the devil himself whisper sweet destruction into his ear. He was dumfounded for he knew this voice well and there was no mistake who he had ran into. His face still stunned he slowly glanced over to the familiar voice and there in the dim bar room light sat his old mentor Sean. He looked a bit different from his past self but no mistake he had been reunited with his old tutor and he was a bit speechless. He stammered a bit but managed to get out the words “Yeah, I would know your taste and your probably surprised to find me in a place like this….Sean.”

Sean raised an eyerbow, a smirk finding its way across his afce. it was truely his student, well the one he had met w hile back. though he had grown to be quite different han Sean had remembered him to be. he thought the hair was a ncie touch though, added a sort of flair really."I am a bit suprised to meet you in a bar of all places, but i'm not one to judge really. Though I am pleased to see you after so long, though i can't really say how long it's been." Sean rubbed the side of his head lightly."Though a good bit has happened since we last had met, and i can tell the same of you, so how are you?" Sean finished off his martini, asking for another. As he scrutinized the young male for any evident reaction.

he was unsure hwo much Erius had changed since they had last met, though he did remember the guy worrying about his parents. Though he wondered if he was still on that quest of his, or not. Either way Sean would find out one way, or the other. because that was just how he worked, and he was kind of a nosy ass.

Eirius listened to his old companion speak as he poured the last of the whiskey into his glass. He responded with “Well honestly I’m not good not good at all, quite in fact I am everything but good my old friend I am horrible my life has seemed to twist and wind down paths that have led me astray to the burning pits of corruption where my life has left me abandoned, that’s how I feel friend.” He took the shot threw back his head and with a gulp it was down. Eirius look over at Sean’s direction and smirked “So how are you old chum.”

Sean listened intently to the young mans description, though it sounded oddly poetic, and disturbing. Though he would ahve to find out more about that later, but now he would have to give the explanation about how he was doing these days. Though many things were happening these days, so he would atleast give a shortened version of it. "Where should I start? Well I fought this amorphous glob monster that claimed to be a manifestation of my negative feelings. I gained supposedly ultimate power, and was proved otherwise on that. Done a few things that i'm sure is illegal in new York, for ethical reasons. Learned that my mother whom I assumed was dead is very much alive, and moving. That my father wasn't who I assumed he was, but he is the supposedly greatest hero in the world Pain. That, and I apparently have siblings, who also were born from my father, though I only know one so far. I've been forced to live with a fifteen year old girl, and am apparently a hero. So my life's been going interesting. Sean said, as he finished off his martini, the last one for the night. "So i've taken up my fathers last name, I kinda like it myself." He smirked as the glass clapped against the wood.

Eirius quietly listened to his friend speak, he listened and heard all the trying times he had in these last few months as well. He just thought of another man with another set of problems. He realized that he wasn’t the only one who had had a fucked up path. And as bad as it seemed Sean’s story made him feel better just to know someone would understand his troubles. As Sean reached the last word Eirius spoke up “Well friend why don’t we get out of here and head for a place more private and we can talk about what’s to become of our future because now our partnership is back and stronger my friend because I have learned much and I will use the knowledge I have gained to bring us power.”

Sean raised an eyebrow when he mentioned bringing them power. What exactly did he mean by that? Whatever it meant he was interested, and Sean was just a sucker in the end. They were friends right? So he wouldn't lie to him, not that he knew of anyway."Sure thing, i've got an aparetment only about a block away. It's a pretty cozy place, and i'm sure we can talk in peace there. I also have a flatscreen, and its pretty nice." The starnge montly income he got was useful. With a sigh, Sean stood up looking to Erius as he directed him to follow. Sean slammed down a hundered on the bar, as with a backward glance opened the door. Waiting for him to follow before walking onward to his lovely apartment.

Eirius listened to his friend’s offer of a warm place to sleep and comfort well that’s what he thought when he heard it. He had been out in the cold for months now living amongst the wreckage of his old home, training daily and growing even more powerful than he was before. The sound of a cozy place to lay his head sounded like what he needed a warm bed and a friend to talk to was good enough for him. “Sounds inviting, I really need a place to lay my head now that I’m back in town. Sleeping on a cot underneath a broken roof has been about the only comfort I’ve had so a roof and a blanket sound good now. So let’s leave this dim scene, this whiskeys getting old fast.”

"Glad to hear you accept. Then off we go, place is feeling a bit unwelcoming." Sean smirked, motioning for him to follow. true he was getting the oddest looks from the patrons, and Sean hated odd looks. Made him want to snap a fist across a persons face. Though he managed to control such violent urges, for now anyway. Now he could talk to an old friend in peace, maybe catch up a little. Sleeping on the couch was not a big deal, since he had to house Alice as well. No big deal, he had enough room for all of them. That was just the guy he was. Now they were off, to his graciously heated home.

He chuckled at his friends remark “Yeah and at my age sitting at a bar isn’t that great of an idea.” He spoke with a low voice trying to hide his speech. It wasn’t a good idea at all but at the time it seemed like a plan, then he watched as his friend climbed down from the stool and motioned him to follow him out the door. They cleared the bar’s main floor and pressed on towards the door, once outside Eirius noticed that the weather had grown far worse the rain was beating against his face and nipping his neck under the collar of his shirt. He reached for his coats zipper and pulled it all the way to his neck and tossed his hood over his head. “I really don’t need this but it lowers suspicion, I don’t want the people to know what I am and I bet you can say the same.” He stared at his friend waiting for his response, but in his eyes he saw something new, something different that the haze of smoke covered. His looks seemed a bit more devious now, his sharp eyebrows had the look of twisted pleasure and Eirius liked the new found “pride” that he saw in his glare to say, It reminded him of how he felt inside.
