Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

Personality:
Dr Cosmos was at one point, a symbol of the American way of life. He was charming, happy, and intelligent to an extent beyond imagining. Some have described as a Superhero that never wore a costume, his work being mostly behind the scenes rather than in actual conflict which demonstrates how willing he has to make self sacrifice to achieve the goals of protecting the average citizen. It was said that the man was, however, in principal a pacifist. He would attempt to avoid physical violence as much as he could and while working the US military he would often campaign against the use of force unless totally necessary. In the period before his excursion out of the universe, he was seen as a popular symbol of Fatherhood too, as well as a representation of what degrees a man will go to for family. His brief stint as a wanted criminal has seemed to change his work ethic somewhat; Clement finds it harder to trust people without extensively knowing them before and he carries a lot of personal guilt about his behaviour, whether he was forced into it or not. He seeks redemption in the eyes of the public and the Metahuman community and is starting a long-term project to better the lives of every human being.
History:
On the 2nd of February 1896, a bright light appeared in the sky over the southern United States. At first it was believed to be an astrological event, most likely a meteorite burning up on atmospheric entry. However rather than diminish over time the light grew stronger and brighter. So much so, residents described it as having a second sun hanging in the sky. It persisted for some two weeks and the U.S. Military was forced to set up a cordoned area the size of half a state, to attempt a number of scientific examinations. They determined that the light obviously had no natural origin but could not find a way to diminish it.
Over time, the epicentre of the anomaly began to behave abnormally. The very fabric of space and time bent, distorted and then tore open, revealing a round black doorway. It continued for all of two minutes before a human being stepped through and it collapsed shut, leaving only Dr Cosmos behind.
What followed was simply called a Media Circus. Dr Ignatius Clement claimed to be from an alternate universe running parallel to our own. He said that a devastating infection had killed almost 99.99999% of his worlds people, plants and animals. In a desperate attempt to save himself and a select few he had built a machine that would allow him to step between realities. However it must have suffered a critical failure as he stepped through, since he seemed to be the only one to arrive. When pressed on his certain superhuman abilities he claimed that they were augmentations meant to fight the native disease.
The Newspapers labelled him “The Cosmic-Man!”
He spent the next five to six decades "willingly" at the service of the American people, his abilities generally aiding the Military. During World War I he built one of the first generation of robots with HELIOS as well as designing numerous armed vehicles. During World War 2 it was his anti-missile systems that stopped the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour and his work on the Atomic Bomb that would later win the war against Japan. During the era’s of peace he helped advance plastic surgery and even worked on modernizing the Car and Train.
He would later win a Nobel Prize for Physics due to his work on building an Anti-Gravity personal flight suit.
In 1947 he married a Julia Jones and retired from his scientific studies, explaining that he would much rather prefer a family over work. In 1948 she announced to the press that she was pregnant. Later the same year she gave birth to twins, Adam Clement and Cassidy Rose Clement. For the next ten years Clement devoted himself to his children and wife. He was voted Time Magazines Man of the Year in 1953 and was featured on the front cover, holding the hands of both his children in his private study.
However in 1958, both children were hospitalized. They seemed to be suffering from a degenerative nerve disease that was crippling them and shutting down their major organs. The doctors could not diagnose the problem but Ignatius believed it to be a genetic disease the children inherited from him. He attempted to slow the process by building two Cryogenic Chambers. One was completed before the other and the children were in too critical a condition to wait so Clement was forced to choose one to save immediately. Believing Adam to be stronger, he put Cassidy Rose into deep sleep. As he monitored the freezing process however, Adam died with his mother beside him.
Blaming himself, Clement decided that the only way to find a cure for his Rose was to go back to his own much more advanced universe and attempt to scavenge the information and technology required to treat her. He left on New Year’s eve, 1958.
ADDENDUM
It is the 50th Anniversary of Ignatius Clement’s expedition into his own universe. It is unknown whether he is alive or dead. Cassidy Rose Clement remains in a critical condition but has not been thawed from the deep freeze due to her surviving family’s wishes.
ADDENDUM
Ignatius Clement returned from his expedition on the 4th of April 2020, almost 62 years after he left. He seems to not have aged at all, although whether this is for temporal reasons or a side effect of his abilities it is not known. During his time outside of this reality he seems to have suffered a radical personality change. His first act was a manic hunt for his Daughter, done so in a highly illegal manner consisting of almost forty six felonies, the most heinous of which was the forced entry of a U.S. Military Base. The facility housed the ten year old frozen body of Cassidy Rose Clement, which is now missing.
Following a series of misadventures for the past eight years, Clement has resurfaced in the public. Claiming corruption within his own company, he has successfully placed himself back in control while subsequently being accused of some 135 years worth of criminal charges. When interrogated about his behaviour and the missing Cassidy Rose, he has refused to comment publicly or privately. He is soon to be put on Trial.
Powers:
Clement claims to have been given his abilities by gene enhancement therapies, given to him in his own universe. While never going into much specifics (He claimed that it was not an area of study that he enjoyed, preferring Technological advancement and Physics) the general belief is that certain traits were engineered into his body while others removed. When asked whether everyone on his world had these traits, he said they were only given to the few selected to move into this universe. They would help them to repopulate and begin again.
The foremost amongst the powers, or the one that interests most people, is that Clement doesn't age like most people. His body seems to be suspended in time, or at least has its effects heavily slowed. While this has the bonus of a longer life then the most aged human, it seems that his Cells react in a much slower pace. Cuts or bruises may linger for much longer then on a human body, and he suffers blood loss much like a Haemophiliac disorder. To battle this, his skin is now incredibly dense. He can absorb massive amounts of kinetic energy as well as deflect almost all conventional weapons, so much so that it has become something of a near impossibility to do him physical harm. This increased muscle flexibility and weight bearing capabilities make Clement an Olympian on a casual day, able to lift somewhere up to a thousand pounds with effort or move at up to 40 miles per hour. His extensive life has allowed him to experience some fields of fighting form, but he excels mostly with the use of pistols.
His true strength lies with his engineering. He has a wide assortment of gadgets and gizmos that he has personally built each one serving their own individual needs. Personal, miniature computers allow him to connect with systems around him, while small laser based weaponry usually takes care of locked doors or combatants. There are stun grenades, EMP generators, anything and everything that he can come up with, designed and incorporate onto his tool belt. He is almost consistently connected to the internet and can easily slip his way into any server to gain sensitive information, anonymously.
The one true weapon, unrivalled in his arsenal or the world itself, is his intelligence. His ability to reason is beyond human, as is his ability to learn and quickly understand things when taught from the ground up. Technology is something of strength. Everything he uses has been built by his own hands and designed simply from his own mind. If he borrows formulas or tech, he does so rarely and only if it is absolutely necessary. When pressed on how his intelligence works, exactly, he explained that rapid firing synapses gave him a “computing” speed light years beyond normal organic creatures. Clement consistently forces himself to stop from accelerating humanity too fast.

Re: Dr Cosmos
This is a great application, good job on everything, but just one question before I approve you. You have 3 EP, but you don't really have any powers that use up this stat. Outside of never being able to age, every other power is physical or based on intelligence. All your gadget's and device's strength is based on intelligence. You could give yourself a healing factor with those points, or what ever you want; figured they should be put to use.
Re: Dr Cosmos
Ah. I thought EP would apply to gadget weapons. If they apply to intelligence, then I'll revise my post and powers a bit.
I don't want the Reginative Healing, simply because he's already so durable. So I'll simply split the three points between Strength, Speed and FS. And I kind of like the idea of him having to avoid cuts when he meets someone strong enough to give them.
And may I request a Power grid, please?

Re: Dr Cosmos
Nah. Intelligence and EP are both capable of pertaining to items. Magical item's are powered by your EP, not devices/gadgets/technology. All of your item's fall under intelligence.
You're good to go man, Approved.
