Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.

Identity crisis: Bring New york to its knees...
BlackOut, Darrk and Freerunner walked in unison to the ledge overlooking West 33rd street. A new force had risen up to take on evil wherever it manifested itself. The big question that remained, was evil ready for the fight coming its way?
The question was answered the very next day as this new team faced a dangerous threat. One which could have struck at their friends, their families and ripped their secret identities wide apart.
It began innocenty enough as David Daark filmed his latest episode of LIVING DAARK. He saved an old woman from being mugged by some young scumbags and then stopped a bank heist by some more young scumbags.
"Youth nowadays I blame those play by post websites for corrupting their tiny minds," he chuckled while winking at the camera
He continued to walk down the street and met a familiar face.
"Hey it's Evan right?" he asked with his usual care free demeaner
"Daark," he said silently suppresing as much hatred as he could
Daark looked at the camera and said "Evan is a major high up in the very same station this show is broadcast on. He also does my makeup and keep the hair looking fabulous,"
"Only due to staff cutbacks," groaned Evan
"Yeah right..." laughed Daark patting Evan on the back. This pissed him off even more.
Just then an building exploded in front of Daark and a piece of debris struck him on the head and knocked him out. Evan grinned as looked down at the fallen hero.
"It would be so easy to end you now...but I want your new friends too..." he then faded away leaving but said to David as a second building exploded and the debris rained on him "LET THE GAMES BEGIN...."
Re: Identity crisis: Bring New york to its knees...
Sonic Kid blurred down the streets. A transparent cone shaped shield before him took the bulk of the force while his fin shaped attachments on his limbs cut through what was left. The young hero looked again at the crumbling building and was about to veer out of the way before he noticed an injured person in the path of the derbies. He ran towards him kicking his energy shield above the person to knock away the falling fragments of the building as he scooped up the man and made a dash for it. He made it a few yards away as he heard the building crash to the ground behind him. He laid down the man noting his head injury.
He stood up looking back to the remains of the structure. What had caused it to collapse? It wasn't roped off for demolition. But he'd figure that out later. He needed to phone an ambulance.

Re: Identity crisis: Bring New york to its knees...
Dawn broke on New York City at 06:45am. The first rays of light kissed the tall buildings and ran down the city streets, slowly dissolving the night frost that had come sharply when darkness began to fall. High above the streets, a figure stood tall on a building as the sun became more prominent. Freerunner had been out on patrol all night. He had decided that night that he would stay out all day and the following night, tackling the cities underworld because crime never slept. It went on twenty four hours a day, seven days a week and it wasn’t about to take a day off for his sake. It also served a purpose. Those that thought he only struck during the night were about to be proved very wrong.
During the night he had stopped seven muggers, three potential murders, a sex attacker who he beat into a coma, two thieves and saved four trapped people from an apartment building that had turned into an inferno because of an act of arson. To Freerunner, these were all good things. Despite this it was all very small. He wanted to strike hard at the criminal underworld and do some major damage to its infrastructure. He had been gathering intelligence for weeks now, slowly building up his own picture of who was connected to whom. He had built this on tip-offs, violent interrogation and intercepted police transmissions and intelligence. Having his own intelligence network did wonders for his ability to prevent crime from happening. There were journalists, policemen and women and members of the public who had somehow come to understand that at least he was trying to do something about the crime. More than they could ever do.
The authorities themselves had begun to realise there was a masked men roaming New York City, however they couldn’t be seen to be double dealing with the law in one hand and the vigilantes in the other. ‘Vigilante’, Freerunner despised that word. It didn’t fit his character or what he was trying to achieve. Is a soldier who is sent to do peacekeeping operations in a country destroyed by civil war also a vigilante? Freerunner saw this as being no different. Yes he got his hands dirty with his stuck-in approach but the authorities didn’t like someone out of their control doing their work for them. Subsequently, they issued a warrant for his arrest and any other 'vigilantes' but they found no public sympathy for this to be carried out. Most people the police spoke to in front of the news cameras all said the same thing, “he’s only trying to help, so what if a few bad people get hurt? It’s about time they started getting hurt instead of ordinary, decent people!”
Freerunner, BlackOut and Darrk had become something with the people in New York City, just as Freerunner had done with the people back in London. Today, he was set to go and stop an armed bank robbery. This professional team worked for the Pietso family, although money stolen and put into their worldwide organised crime fund was never traced. The attempted theft today, Freerunner concluded, would go to use in the purchase of automatic weapons and ammunition. The thugs that worked for the Pietso family always carried an automatic weapon of some sort. Other crime syndicates had found it hard to match their money and resources and so they were either consolidated into their organisation or simply wiped out. Freerunner had been hitting them hard for four months now. He had been blowing up their unmarked shipments of drugs, weapons, merchandise and money. Anything that could have been used to advance or help their organisation, he had been destroying. Small businesses that were mules and cover-ups for the organisation, they too were all destroyed. In doing so, Freerunner was denying them bases to operate from and denying his enemy freedom of movement.
He knew he was starting to hurt his enemy badly but somehow they still managed to get money. This money had to be coming into the U.S from South America. But there was nothing he could do about that at the moment. Now he had to focus on his current objectives before running rapid strike missions into South America so they too, felt the sting. Freerunner could easily find the family and take them all out. However as far as the law was concerned, they never had anything to stick to him. So Freerunner took his time. He gathered his evidence and when the time was right to strike at the heart, he would. Then he would drop all of his evidence and copies to the authorities and parts of it to the media. The public would stay on his side and the authorities would again, say nothing and let the matter go.
That had been various attempts by the criminal underworld to try and cook-up crimes and then pin them to Freerunner but they never stuck. Freerunner was never stupid enough to get framed and the public weren’t stupid enough to believe rumours that surfaced about him.
His concentration broke as his hearing teaked itself to a distant rumble. Trouble. It sounded like an airstrike but that wouldn't be possible, not without the U.S Air Force arriving to blow the threat to kingdom come. Freerunner's stomach turned as he felt a sudden shock hit his system. This was trouble, the armed robbery would have to wait. Freerunner lept off of the building and made his way in the direction of the thunderous sound he had just heard. As he got closer and lept into the air he could see the spiralling pillars of smoke and dust that choaked the surrounding two mile area. "What the hell happened?" thought Freerunner. He approached the destruction quickly and surveyed the area. his vision perfect despite the clouds of dust and smoke that had consumed the area. Then he saw him. Darrk lay unconscious with a smaller figure knelt low beside him.
Freerunner lept into action off of a tall building positioned about five hundred meters down the street. He hit the ground rolling, coming up out of the roll and into a full sprint, he lept into the air and came down onto a buckled streetlight, pushing off high into the air, the buckled streetlamp breaking as he did so. His vision slowed down once more as he twisted his body mid-air on course with his target. Unclipping, a flashbang from his belt he pulled the arming pin and spun it in Darrks direction. The small figure was suddenly envoloped in a blinding light, his ears felt as if they were on fire and he could hear nothing apart from a loud ring. Freerunner landed right next to him and grabbed him by the neck with one hand, he took a firm grasp of the small figures neck and lifted him into the air.
"Darrk! Darrk! Are you ok?!" shouted Freerunner, his eyes still fixed on the person he had just grabbed. Darrk made a slight groan as his healing abilities began to take effect but he was still badly hurt. The small figure squirmed and shouted "IT WASN'T ME!!! I SAVED HIM YOU IDIOT!!!". Freerunner dropped the figure, realising that if he had been there to kill Darrk, then he would have already done so before Freerunner could get there. The small figure rubbed his own neck and then stood tall again. Freerunner knew this newcomer felt no fear from him. "So who are you?!" barked Freerunner who was poised to engage this person if he became hostile. The newcomer stood in a proud stance and then pointed his left index finger at Freerunner. "I'm SonicKid and you owe me an apology and you owe me for saving your friend here" he replied with a smile on his face.
"It will have to wait, first we move out of here" said Freerunner with authority. He quickly scooped up Darrk in his arms with no effort and then placed him over his shoulder in a firemans carry and quietly thought to himself, "where the hec is BlackOut?".

The Librarian observe Events and grinned at the screen "Freeloader has arrived and some other kid...too bad kid wrong place and all," he pressed a button and triggered another explosion he then pressed another button and triggered his hologram
"Hello and welcome to the end of New york city gang. I am the Librarian and you are all about to be stamped out...for good,"

Re: Identity crisis: Bring New york to its knees...
Ryan sat back and relaxed the calm of a lazy afternoon in the heart of New York. Outside a small café Ryan sat drinking his coffee and reading today’s paper. It felt good to take a break no superhuman baddies to beat on, no one causing any trouble that he could see, just a perfect day to unwind from all the pressures of being a hero. Turning the page of his paper to the sports section he began to read through it. “Alright Knicks won again” he said to himself smiling and taking another sip of is coffee. If only his life could stay this simple forever.
As though God himself had a grudge against him an explosion sent a shake through the city that shattered windows set of car alarms and knocked Ryan and his coffee to the ground. “You know...” he said trying to wipe the stain off his shirt. “One time I’d like to finish a goddamn cup of seven dollar coffee.” He yelled trashing to his feet and heading off toward the sound of the blast.
Pulling his mask out of the waist of his pants Ryan found a secluded alley and pulled of his coffee stained clothing to reveal the iconic costume of his other self Blackout. Finishing the transition to his alter ego Black took of flying from the alley at great speeds sending loose garbage and what every other crap that had been laying around it flying around as though a small tornado had just past.
Black cut through the sky like at jet plane he was going faster than he normally did mostly because his day of rest had been ruined and he was pissed, and also because that was a pretty big explosion. Arriving at the scene Black landed on a nearby roof top and tried to take in the scene before him. The pillars of smoke that rose from the wreckage made seeing anything from this distance almost impossible, just as he was about to move closer he saw a familiar form head into the wreckage.
BlackOut flew in closer seeing Freerunner with Daark dangling over his shoulder watching a hologram with a man speaking in a “look what I did you heroes will never defeat me” sort of tone. “Really this deal again what is it douchebags with holograms month” Black said dropping down next to Freerunner skipping over the greeting completely.

"The gangs all here...welcome blackedout...ohh right thats what I'm going to do to you," laughed the Librarian.
"I really wish I could be there in person but to be honest my power isn't a fighting one and I am too smart to just appear in front of you and get my own book stamped," he pressed another button and another building exploded
"Oh dear at this rate New York will be cinders within a week. Can anybody stop me?" laughed the Librarian in a mocking tone.
"RAARRR!" screamed Daark mustering enough strength to attack the hologram but passed through it and cracked his head on a steel pipe.
"Ohh that is going to leave a mark..." sniggered the Librarian he then said "washout, freeloader and red shirt kid find me if you can before New york is destroyed completely,"

Re: Identity crisis: Bring New york to its knees...
Sonic Kid was just taking a running stance when he heard something tap on the cement. He looked to see a small oval shaped object just before la blinding light flooded his eyes through his goggles along with a deafening bang. It was then a felt a large hand grab him rather roughly by the neck.
"It wasn't me! I saved him you idiot!" He objected. He wasn't certain what brought him to the conclusion that the new fighter was an ally of the man he had just saved. In fact, after a second of thought it would seem more likely that the new person was the guy who set off the explosion. But his hasty assumption seemed to pay off as he was dropped.
As his vision cleared, he got a look at the man. The guy had dark brown hair and eyes wearing some sort of black and blue tight fitting navy suit. The man rudely demanded to know who he was. Part of him wanted to be offended, but he could see that he was acting more out of concern for his downed friend then for anger.
The boy stood up forcing a smile.
"I'm Sonic Kid and you owe me for saving your friend here" The little hero declared nonchalantly. Though the other guy just scooped up the injured man and mentioned someone named BlackOut. Sonic Kid was about to ask who he and BlackOut were when another explosion interrupted and another man appeared speaking with a light British accent. He had dark brown hair and green eyes. He was about to strike when yet another stranger appeared.
This guy had a yellow and black costume and a mask that covered his whole head. He heard him mention that the second guy was a hologram. Sonic Kid felt a bit inwardly embarrassed that he was about to attack it and make himself look like a fool. From the following exchange he assumed this was the BlackOut the first guy had mentioned.
Sonic Kid looked around the hologram but could find any proctors. Where was it coming from? Then a third bomb went off.
"How many bombs can one guy plant!?" He exclaimed. He took a running posture ready to search every building if he needed to.

Re: Identity crisis: Bring New york to its knees...
Freerunner turned and saw the hologram, "I'm starting to get pissed off with these bloody things...". He turned and faced what he now knew to be a teenager. "I'm sorry about the threat earlier, I couldn't have been sure.". SonicKid nodded and then gestured the four of them move forward and out of the danger zone.
"Forget about this hologram, we'll deal with this person another time. Now we move." said BlackOut as he began to lift himself off into the air. SonicKid and Freerunner shot off in the same direction, as they did so Darrk jumped up onto an electrical force that BlackOut had created to carry the both of them across the city in no time. Up ahead, Freerunner was running at half speed but he could see how much faster SonicKid was moving, again everything in the environment around him seemed to move with exaggerated slowness but SonicKid looked as if he was running much faster. Of course in real time they were both travelling over one hundred miles per hour. High above them, BlackOut matched the speed with Darrk using his electrical energy to push them both forward.

Re: Identity crisis: Bring New york to its knees...
(OOC: If this isn't going anywhere guys then I'm going to move onto a quest myself and explain more about my character to this RPG and introduce some new characters too......I'm only saying this because the story hasn't exactly caught on quickly so I hope that's ok. I'm still game when it comes to our team though. Also I was expecting a comeback from Deceiver but that hasn't materialized so I guess we'll have to fight him another time - and win.)

Right well I'm out of this storyline as no one is doing much and there isn't a storyline so I'm off to do a quest.
