Re: The ATL
Metis Scratched the back of her head. "The windpipe being divided you heard may have been another...accident on my part." She forced a sheepish smile. "Well." She said, looking off in a different direction "Thanks for stepping in. I owe you one."
"Let's get outta here. before they can spot us"
Metis giggled. "Oh, I'm not worried about getting spotted myself." As she said that, her black eyes seemed to expand and cover the white part of her eye until her eyes were completely black for a split second, and then she blinked and they were back to normal. "But you lead the way. I 'm not the one that hears from blocks away." Metis grinned. "It must be pretty nice having powers like that. Do you fancy yourself some kind of hero, or were you just in the wrong place at the right time?"

Re: The ATL
"Well, I actually fancy myself a virtuoso, but hero works as well. And I'm never in the wrong place. Who knows how this would have turned out if I had taken on a burglary instead?" Mosh motioned for Metis to follow him running to the end of the building, and making a small leap to the ledge of the next. He waited for Metis to catch up before continuing on. He didn't want to take her off the ground again until it was necessary. If they kept at a good pace they'd be far beyond the intial search area when the police arrived, even if that would take some help from Mosh's powers

Re: The ATL
Metis ran up to the edge of the building. Her shorter legs meant she had to move a little faster than most people. She jumped, planting her boots firmly on the next building, then resumed following Mosh. "Well." She started talking while she was moving. "I'm trying to become more of a hero myself but...." She bit her bottom lip. "Well you see I have a bit of work to do. But doesn't it seem like if you can help people you should? There aren't many people able to protect, but there's a lot of people that need protecting.

Re: The ATL
"Well you have the mentality. You also have the ability. I think if you can get that temper under control you'd be along the right path." Mosh looked over to his partner of tonight, "I'm not above killing someone that has it coming, murderers in particular, you just went a little... overboard. Though I'm sure you didn't mean to." Mosh grabbed onto Metis's hand and made the next leap, a rather large on, amplifying the sounds of their footsteps to clear the distance. When they landed he let go and continued moving, determined to get as far away from the three downed men as quickly as possible.

Re: The ATL
They took off again, but it wasn't as far up this time and Metis was ready for it. she kept pace with them as they ran. Running was something she was good at, she can't always rely on shadows for quick transportation. "Hey, they deserved what they got and then some." she took deep breaths between sentences to keep air in her lungs. "It makes me angry just thinking about the way they put their hands on me." She thought for a second. "I guess that is that temper you're talking about. I usually keep my mood more stable than today, it's just been an unlucky night."

Re: The ATL
"I think if you could focus more on the helping people, less on the crime actually committed you might be able to keep a cool head." They were making good time. Another building behind them, then another. Mosh had began to amplify their speeds to distance themselves from the sirens behind them even further. It was time to change course, no sense in running in one direction all night. He slid to a stop at the center of the building the were now at. He made his way for the edge to jump across the street. He waited there, extending his hand to Metis to help her across. "Shall we?"

Re: The ATL
"But you have to deal with the criminals." She said, moving quickly to keep the pace. "kids don't get drugs without dealers, and people don't kidnap themselves." She held her breath as the cleared another building. "I mean, I understand what you're saying. I don't normally get like that but I'm kinda under some pressure I can't explain." She wasn't about to start talking about her personality switches or nightmares, not that she hadn't already shown off her crazy side. They cleared another building. Her boots gripped the ground well. "I'm just a street-level vigilante now, but don't most heroes start out that way? Then they start working with others so they can cover the bigger picture. My goal is to do that without losing sight of the little picture either." They had stopped, presumably for another big jump. Metis flashed a mug smile, and took his hand. "We shall." She said in an overly dignified voice.

Re: The ATL
"I think you misunderstand. I don't mean help people without taking out the source. By all means cut the head off. What I mean is to focus less on what these men do on more on stopping them. It may help keep your head cool." Mosh leaped from the building, snapping his fingers before their momentum began to move downwards, pushing the duo across the gap. "I mean, I'm still working my way up in this whole hero world. I wouldn't suggest something that would stop you from getting recognition. I just don't want you to get the wrong kind of recognition, know what I mean?" Mosh took off again, just as their feet touched the ground, pulling Metis along with him to clear the next street at the end of the building.

Re: The ATL
Metis hopped with Mosh from building to building, her short legs made it look like she was running faster but she was actually just keeping pace. "Well don't get me wrong, I'm not in it for the fame." She had to stop for a second as her knees became shock absorbers, and then continued. "I've never minded blending into the shadows." The last remark brought an involuntary smirk. "and yeah, I've got a few....kinks to work out. I wonder if super heroes ever get therapists?"

Re: The ATL
"Probably, the amount of shit they probably see on a daily basis. I mean I've only been at this for 4 years and I'm pretty much cringe free at this point. You consider some of those guys at G.U.N. had been there since the start almost 20 years ago, they're either completely desensitized or going to a lot of therapy sessions. I also didn't mean to insenuate you were in this business for fame, especially since there are far easier and safer ways to do grab at that star. I just don't want ou to get noteriety from the people you're trying to protect rather than the well deserved recognition you earn." Another street passed underneath them, as Mosh landed he let go of Metis's hand and took of to the right. They were probably far enough away now he thought, but it had been awhile since he had actually spoken to someone, and running always helped him deal with the stress and anxiety of this life.

Re: The ATL
Metis didn't question why they kept running so far. Quite frankly, it was refreshing to be around someone who wasn't a total sleaze. "Well, I guess there's no point in trying to convince you I'm not crazy at this point" Her breathing between words was starting to get heavy. "but I actually have some powers of my own. You know, that aren't guitar based." She instinctively held her breath as they made another jump. "but it's kinda like....I dunno how to explain it. The powers kind of have a mind of their own sometimes, and it's not in agreement with mine." She pursed her lips. "I mean, it's not like there are voices in my head or I can't control my own body or anything like that. but I do get some mood swings....and some pretty weird dreams. I can show you my power if you want. You seem pretty trustworthy after all. You did stick your neck out for me."

Re: The ATL
Mosh smiled at her comment about the guitar, still beating regularly against his back. "I don't think your crazy if that's what you're implying." Mosh answered her statement. "If you want. I can show you a few more of my tricks as well." He skidded to a stop at the middle of the building they were on now. It was pretty lifeless around right now, being in an abandoned warehouse district and all. Mosh smiled and clapped his hands together, aiming at the side of the warehouse to their immediate right. The resulting concussion crumpled the metal inward, looking as if someone had just drven a car into it.

Re: The ATL
"Oh my." Metis remarked at the destructive force of two hands clapping together. "Well, I can't do anything like that. My skills are a little more...low-key." She looked around, and saw that a another building cast a shadow on the one they were on, a couple feet wide and running from one end of the roof to the other. She took a few steps back until she was standing on the shadow. "I'll do try to do it real slow doll, so you can see it."
The black of Metis' eyes expanded until there was no white left. She became harder to see, as if a shadow was being cast over her. It became darker and darker, until all you could see was the pale skin of her face. Then that disappeared too, and Metis was no where to be seen. a moment later the process happened in reverse at the other end of the building. first her face appeared, and the rest of her body formed out of the shadows.

Re: The ATL
"Impressive." Mosh swung the guitar around to the front, no hands, just to show off a little bit more. Grabbing the neck of his bass, he began playing a series of low notes, providing a bass line for a song he heard in his head. He picked up tempo and Storm Wing, the name he'd given the very special bass began to shoot lightning. He aimed it away from any buildings to avoid fire. After he felt it had been a thoroughly impressive sho he tugged hard and the strap tore away, after twirling it the bass turned into a scythe which he proceded to preform further kata with.

Re: The ATL
Metis sat down on an air conditioning unit and watched the show. After the lightning bolts she did a polite clap. "Oh my, but you are a virtuoso aren't you? I'm afraid I can't claim to be as powerful as you." Her feet hung above the ground, and she kicked them idly, lightly hitting the metal of the air conditioning unit with the heels of her boots.
"So why is it that you can do so many things but I've never heard of you? Seems like you'd be something of a celebrity."

Re: The ATL
Martin was in Atlanta, Georgia. A place he had never expected to be for a Science Fair. He sighed as he rode his red motorcycle through the streets of the suburban town. Not really sure how to ride a motorbike, he made sure to go slow, since he was just getting used to it.
A bright light came from above, and suddenly the sound of lightning rung through the night sky, and struck not to far away from where the boy was standing. He sped up, looking to the sky, noticing the repeating flash of light followed by thunder. That has to be some type of artificial lightning, lightning doesn't strike so many times so quickly., He noted, coming to a halt on his cycle, parking on the curb of the street.
Not really dressed up in his superhero attire, he tried not to draw attention to himself. He walked around in the middle of the street, his head tilted up, searching for the source of the lightning.
