Draw Them Out

Harbinger smirked at the 500 year old response. Compared to the age of Harbinger, it was nothing. He'd been living beyond trillions of years and seen many universes fade off into darkness. To Harbinger, 500 years was nothing more than one grain of sand on a beach. His anger over the loss of humans was laughable to Harbinger. If he knew it would cause this much pain to the dragon then, he would of killed more. He was being reckless at this point. Charging head on at Harbinger wasn't the greatest idea. Bold, but stupid. He awaited a few seconds before it looked like his challenger was about to strike.

"...Levitation Field!"

Before the electrical attack could make contact with Harbinger's vessel, he used the Levitation Field to make his enemy weightless and float off into the air. Due to the momentum of him lunging at Harbinger, the dragon rose off into an arc. Harbinger wasn't about to give him a chance to figure out what had just happened. He quickly followed up with the Smash Field to increase his target's weight to smash him into the ground for a crater like impact.

"Where has the other one gone..."

Harbinger looked around, but could no find the woman. Harbinger was slightly frustrated that he might of destroyed her in the blast. He could still feel her brain wave activity though. Harbinger looked around trying to see if he could locate her. He then saw ice beginning to form back into her. The ability to regenerate oneself by using the water molecules in the air. An amazing technique. Harbinger was starting to feel the air cooling very rapidly. Soon enough, his vessel was no longer able to move using its nerves. The diamond spears were coming down him from all angles. It looked like this would be it for his vessel. Harbinger found another way to move his body though. By using telekinesis he could move the body without having to control the nerves of his minion.

"Cyclone..."

A blast of dark energy began to spin around rapidly, above Harbinger. It sucked in all the ice spears that were going to impale him to prevent the damage that would be dealt to him. The air was still too cold however. If he could not find a way to heat up the area then the vessels brain would be damaged and Harbinger would lose contact with the area. Heat must of been a weakness to ice anyway. If somehow he could superheat the area, then the woman would most likely become weaken. Friction was one way to superheat an area, but how to pull it off. If he tried rubbing anything around here together then it would crumble and break.

The woman had been using the atmosphere around them as a weapon, by taking water out of it and amplifying it with her powers. Harbinger then was donned with an idea. He began to focus in on the atoms and molecules in the current battlefield. There was a countless amount around them. Using his telekinesis, Harbinger began to superheat the battlefield by rubbing the atoms and molecules together at super fast speeds to create friction. When enough friction is created, it produced heat. It was an attempt to greatly weaken the woman's ability and see if she was susceptible to heat.

Arako thrusted his blades into the ground to stop the collision but due to the arc of the fall it only helped partially halt the force of impact when he landed, he got up and turned towards the harbringer as he noticed that there was coming more energy into his system then before from the air around them "...molecular friction?" He said to himself as he noticed the mental energy spreading out into the area, seemingly doing nothing from the point of the naked eye.

"ooh little Harp-Bringer" Arako said, purposely mis-pronouncing his name "Heat is energy and cold is the lack of it.....where do you think all the heat in the air was disappearing to before?" he said as he absorbed the electric swords into himself while still 'swallowing' heat from the air but now focusing the drain harbringer, finding it funny that before, absorbing heat was not really much to sustain or empower himself but now with intense firction in the air creating it, there was plenty to 'eat' from "you may be slowly warming up the air but I have to say.....thanks for the lunch, I feel MUCH BETTER" Arako said, the last being shouted as he slammed his open palms int the ground and as they began to glow on the point of impact, the ground under him shifted and changed, taking on the form of a massive dragon, about 3-4 floors high and quadroped of build "DoRyuu Mezame[Awaken, Earth Dragon]" he said whislt chuckling slightly as the massive dragonic body of asphalt, earth and concrete lifted one of its mighty claws and proceeded to bring it down upon the enemy.

At the same time arako jumped of the earthen dragon's head and flew quickly over to his ice-controlling ally "excuse me but is it possible you could shape me an ice-armor to wear?, I have an idea I need to test and I rather not break too many bones when doing doing it" he said.

"Very well" Yuki said smiling

Yuki took the water in the air, and froze it. She did as her partner asked and created an armor of diamond hard ice. By this time Yuki had finally managed to create absolute zero around her and began to freeze anything that she came into her area of cold, as it slowly began to enlarge. Yuki jumped atop the dragon herself and smiled at her ally.

"They won't break so long as I'm near it, so I'm trusting you on this one partner" Yuki said as she molded herself into the ice, disappearing into, effectively covering it in diamond hard ice. "Now go for it, I'll cover you"

As Harbinger began to superheat the area, he could feel his telekinetic energy being drawn in from somewhere. He look around and saw the dragon like man sucking in all the heated energy from the atoms in the air. While he would suck in the heat to strengthen himself, the woman would gain more versatility to create ice like attacks. Their powers matched each other well and even complimented each other. It was enough even impress Harbinger. If they weren't so idealistic, he would give them the offer to join his empire and be saved from turning into an experiment. Harbinger knew the answer would be no.

As the heat in the area was being sucked away again, Harbinger gained an idea. He could seep some his dark energy control into the heat energy that Arako was absorbing. While still super-heating the air around him with friction, Harbinger began to use his dark energy powers in combination with each other at an atomic level. He'd use his Almighty Push against the atoms and then Levitation Field to stop them from going to far and pull them back. Soon enough heated energy was becoming infected with Harbinger's dark energy while Arako absorbed it into him. Arako may of gained control of the heat energy with in him, but now the dark energy that was inside him, was in the total control of Harbinger.

Doing this powerful attack was starting to take it's tole on Harbinger's vessel. Harbinger's mind was built for sustained attacks to the mind, but his minion wasn't. Nosebleeds were becoming more noticeable from the psychic strain on the mind. It looked like Arako had enough to eat though. Harbinger watched as Arako created a giant dragon from that power. Harbinger wasn't going to try anything yet. Arako had jumped atop his new dragon and flew towards Yuki. They were planning something, but Harbinger's chance to strike was coming. While still heating the area with telekinesis and combining it with dark energy, Harbinger launched off his detonation towards the now armored enemies. Even with possibility of that armor being unbreakable, it would just mean a good portion of the explosion would be contained in the armor and just damaging whoever was inside it.



Once the Detonation got close enough to the heroes, everything began to erupt in a chain reaction. Even the atoms in the air had become weapons of Harbinger. The entire sky became weapon of total mass destruction. Arako still had the dark energy inside him that Harbinger had placed inside him when he absorbed the heat energy with it. Even he had become an unknown weapon to Harbinger. The explosion was even powerful enough to rip a hole in the atmosphere. The blackness of space could be seen momentarily before closing up. Harbinger wondered just how strong that armor was. If it was truly strong then Yuki might of remained safe. He wasn't sure about the dragon and Arako however, as he was encased in the icy armor. Worst case scenario was that he'd probably look like a potato that was left in a microwave too long and exploded.

The light was too bright to see what was happening. The shock waves were blasting away the buildings on the ground down into tiny chunks. There would be no way his vessel could of survived that explosion if he hadn't of used the Almighty Push to make himself a small hole to bunker down in. Even then, he was buried deep within the dirt. It was extremely heavy on his vessels body, but at least it was warmer for it than going up to where it was cold. Most of the heated energy that wasn't absorbed had to of been destroyed from the dark energy explosion. Eventually he needed to come up. The blast had sent many dirt particles into the air and the light finally had subsided. Harbinger's bodily vessel dug itself out using the Almighty Push. It was hard to see with all the dirt in the sky. It looked like it was night time almost.

He slowly began to heat up the area in his personal space. His vessel's brain probably couldn't take much more. He'd never had to push one of his minions this far before. The Superhumans of this planet were truly strong if they made him go this far. Harbinger was starting to lose connection with his minion.

Back in Space...

"That weakling vessel... I'm losing my mental control over him. That attack must of nearly destroyed his brain. Useless. He will be brain dead soon. Even if I did knock them out or kill them I won't be able to get their bodies transferred over to the ship. The next closest vessel to that location is 50 miles."

The ship began to tremble under Harbinger's anger. His servant feared having to go back into the throne room after having his legs nearly shredded off.

Back on Earth...

The vessel began to twitch and bleed profusely from his nose. Maybe they would at least be dead and he would have time to get his next vessel there to take the bodies. If they were knocked out or injured badly then it would just mean they'd be gone by the time the new vessel got there. Harbinger planned to use the remaining brain function of his minion to find them.

Arako growled as he crawled out from under all the dirt and other stuff that had buried him in the blast, his abdoment an open wound and half his face missing except for the eye and bones of said area.

He got up and staggered over to the minion that obviously had no power left with how his nose was bleeding and how drained he looked, he grabbed him by the collar of his shirt "listen...Harbringer...." Arako said then grabbed the telepathic link between the minion and Harbringer and yanked it gently "patience if you are still concious in the armor....please ice over any of my injuries cause I think this will make me faint" he said softly to the icy armor "now back to you, let this be a note of the low end of the 'how far I will go' meter in order to defeat you" he said in a tired voice then released all the energy he could spare as a kinetic shockwave that he channeled THROUGH the mind link he was holding onto at the moment "even if you call yourself a god, even if you are so....I will....make you fall" Arako strained himself to speak that last sentence as his concious went all black from the lack of energies to keep himself both awake and functioning.

The last thing he managed to see before his body entered a hibernation like state was the ice he had spoken to earlier, the ice that the ice woman was supposed to be in though he couldnt be sure after such an explosion, he would die though if his wounds wasnt alteast tended to in the manner he had asked her to earlier

Yuki reformed her body from the water molecules in the air, turning herself from gas to solid was taxing and doing it twice was painful. She stood amongst the destruction and walked over to Arako, she began to ice over his injuries like he had requested and did the best she could in reducing the pain. She managed to save some of the morphine she carried with her and took care of his wounds.

"You're lucky I'm a doctor" Yuki said smiling "You should be fine"

So they managed to survive the blast. He was angry that he wouldn't be able to gain a test subject that day, but the fact that they had even had some remaining life force was a sign of how much more his power would grow the day he did absorb them. It looked like Arako still had a little fight in him as he picked up Harbinger's minion and began to threaten him. It been a long time since anyone had the courage to defy a God. It was a shame he wouldn't be able to get his next minion to that area fast enough. He could take advantage of them in their weakened state. While Harbinger was thinking of what to do next, he felt something strike him all the way from Earth.

Back in space...

Harbinger could feel a physic shock wave enter his mind. Arako had used the last of his energy to basically spit in his face. Harbinger got up from his throne and walked over to the large window of the Hand of God. He stared out to the void of space for a moment before removing the helmet of his armor, revealing his evil black and red eyes. He took his hand to wipe his nose then looked upon his finger. There was a small bit of blood. For the first time in over trillions of years, Harbinger saw his own blood. He began to laugh.

"Blood... I had forgotten. Arako... What a strange creature he is."

He put his helmet back on and continued to stare off into space, there was one thing left he wanted to do. He had to instill a message into at least the dragon man.

Back on Earth...

Harbinger began to use the last of his vessel's power for one more task. It arose from the ground before the two exhausted heroes. It's eyes were glowing bright red. At first, it looked like it had become fully energized again and was ready to continue to fight. Harbinger walked over to Arako and used his telekinesis to hold Yuki back momentarily. As Arako also had some mental ability, it would be easier to show him mental pictures than to someone who didn't. He placed his hand above the dragon man and soon Harbinger's vessel began to glow with a dark aura. It appeared as though he was about to blast him into oblivion, but he wasn't.

Harbinger was leaving a message inside Arako. He wanted to show him what he and the rest of the planet would be up against. Harbinger revealed how long his reign of power had been in existence. The trillions of years he was showing him began to eventually add up into a googleplex of years. He hadn't been just conquering planets. He'd been conquering multiple universes. His empire was a legion of infinite like numbers that spread throughout galaxies. The vessel they fought was just one man. There would be more to come.

"Arako... you've only delayed the inevitable. You and the rest of the Superhumans will be absorbed into my being. Do not resist. Your deaths will lead to you all becoming a God. You and your kind were not the first to resist. There have been millions before your kind. Surrender is your only option. I lied when I said the forces of the universe would come down on you. From the images I've shown you, we are not one universe. The forces of the multi-verse will make you bow to me. You can not win. Your death is assured."

Harbinger left the message and images with in the dragon so that he could show the other Superhumans what they were about to face. Fear would make them surrender to a quick painless end. His vessel was about to go brain dead however and that was all he could show.

"Releasing Control Of This Form!"

The minion dropped to the ground. All brain activity was gone and had been melted away from Harbinger's power. Most of New York City was left decimated in just that one attack while many layed dead. The battle was over, but the war had just begun.

Meanwhile...

Jack and his father had been out of town in Maine, visiting with some relatives. They had no idea that their home had been destroyed in the chaos. His aunt was in the kitchen while his uncle quickly called everyone into the living room.

"Everyone come quick! You guys need to see this!"

Everyone ran into the living room. It was the news.

"For those just joining us, New York City has just been destroyed. It is unknown currently what has happened, but some survivors are stating that it was a battle between 3 Superhumans. From what we understand, one began to attack the city while two others tried to stop him. As of now, we are unable to get to the city by air due to the dirt clouds from the explosions."

Jack needed to fly back to New York. He had to see if there was someway he could help.

"Hey Dad! I'm gonna head out and get some air. I'll be back later."

Jack ran into the guest room where he had his Superman shirt. He stripped down and transformed his skinny body into his Superhuman body. Jack put on his black Superman shirt, threw on his jeans, and his boots. He opened the window and with that flew off into the sky as fast as he could. He went up higher into the sky and eventually hit supersonic levels. Eventually he managed to reach New York City... or what was left of it. Jack dove down into the dust and begun to spin around like a tornado. His body was sucking in the large cloud of smoke that was covering the city in night time. While still spinning fast, he rose higher into the sky until he was out in space. Jack stopped spinning and let the dust subside into the darkness of outer space.

He flew back down to the planet to look for any survivors.

"Hello!!! Is anyone there!"

With his super hearing, he could still hear the heart beats of two beings. He couldn't tell where they were however.

Arako sat up as the mental energy that had been projected into his mind essentially had fed his energy reserves enough to keep him awake for alittle awhile.

he grabbed his head in pain and yelped as the entire information he had been given while technicly unconcious now rushed in the concious mind all at the same time. After growling for about 20 seconds he relaxed but panted slightly "t-thanks...for...injury treatment" arako managed to say to his new ally as his head still felt kinda numb and laid down again "w-would you mind.....letting me have....alittle energy from your body?" Arako asked, his tone alittle shy "it would let me....recover slightly....faster" he explained and smiled, then noticed the dust clearing up "w-we are over here" arako stated when he heard a person shoutingif any body was there, his voice rather low.

He began to try and get up, visibly pained by moving in the state his body was at the moment but he managed to get up and began wave to attract the attention of the person shouting.

Yuki looked at Arako with a grin on her face, it was her job to help people no matter how it was done. Yuki moved closer to him and looked into his eyes.

"Very well" Yuki said smiling "Take what you need"

Yuki looked at the person that Arako was waving to and joined in the waving.

Jack landed by what looked like the two sole survivors. He couldn't believe the destruction that had taken place. New York City was wiped off the face of the planet. Jack could remember the days of 9/11 when he was kid. It sure was a flashback for him. Jack tried to use his super hearing to listen for anymore heartbeats, but these two were the only ones left. Jack looked at Arako. He didn't that he was a dragon however and thought he'd become hideously disfigured in battle.

"You both look like you been through hell and back. What the hell happened here?"

Arako placed 2 of his claws on Yuki's shoulder and abosorbed alittle of her energy, just enough to stabilize his mind's energy levels so he wouldnt faint in afew minutes and to kick start his body's regeneration "a guy calling himself the harbringer blew up a building, which drew me and this girl out to try and stop him, at the end he chose to create a big explosion to try and finish us off....unfortunatly for me that explosion was placed here" Arako said as he then pointed at the open hole in his abdomen that was closed up with ice.

"I sure am glad my body is dragonic and I got my abilities, might not have survived being a living bomb if not for those" he said then sat down as he still was VERY drained from the event "he also too the liberty of pumping some info on himself into my mind, I would like to share it but prefarbly not out in the open like this, any of you got a place nearby?" he asks.
