Someday came suddenly...

(Since I'm too lazy to finish Envy, I'll post as Kill)

Kill was out shopping. Obivously, he was in human form, otherwise, there would be screaming.

He was a millionaire, so he had bought some clothes, and was going for some food. He really didn't care for material poessions much, except for the essentials. What he truly wanted was to eat human lifeforce, but he wouldn't dare to do that in a mall.

So, he went to the food court, and got in line for a hot dog. He noticed a girl flash a grin with fangs. He blinked, and no fangs. He was suspicious, and got his hot dog, french fries, and burger. He walked up to the girl.

"Excuse me, this table taken?" he asked. He actually wasn't trying a cheesy pick-up line, he was trying to see if this girl was a super.

Suddenly, a girl burst out in tears and darted to the back of the store in despair. That very same moment, a ridiculously tall man entered the store. He was like darkness incarnated; everything on him was black in colour. His shoes, his slim pants, his buttoned shirt, his uncombed hair, even the cigarette he was smoking was black. The expression on his face revealed his irration. "Fuck, the wrong store. Again." He murmered in a rather apathic and/or annoyed sounding voice. "I want coffee, dammit."
A man, probably the store manager, darted to him and told him that it was not permitted to smoke in the store. The tall, thin man looked at the manager, who was at least two heads shorter than the dark one, shrugged and said: "Like it matters. In ten years, this store will be long gone. In 60 years, you will probably long gone too. Don't you know how insignificant your own existence is? A soul is less than a spark in the vast emptiness and infinity of space and time. In the end, all is useless, your existence is pointless. You will turn to dust and be redistributed over the planet, which in its turn will be utterly crushed at the great collapse of the universe. You are even more pathetic if you do not realise that."
The manager was stunned by this contra-existencialistic outburst of the tall man and responded something like: "W-well, you c-can believe what you w-want, sir, b-but you are still prohibited to smoke a sigaret here." The thin man looked back at him with his hollow eyes, almost radiating annoyment. "Fuck you, square."

As the manager darted away once again, the tall man in black looked around in the store. He took a long drag of his sigaret, burning it away till the butt. It was a kretek sigaret. That distinctive smell gave it away. He dropped the sigaret on the beautifull carpet, which obviously was just a few weeks old. He killed the roach and left a dirty black stain on the carpet. It was the store manager's own luck he was just helping Avidita, because he would seriously have fainted if he had seen it. The little queer. Wow, did I actually wrote that? Geh, I've got nothing against gays. Just against fainting dudes.
Anyway, as the tall man laid his eyes on Avidita and Chara something shot through his mind. A sense of recognition. Maybe even nostalgia. They looked so familiar. It's probably just this louzy mind of mine playing tricks. He thought as he turned around to exit the store. I've never seen those girls before, have I? I have the feeling I know them... Could it be?... No, they will never look me up. Why would they? I'm bloody useless. As some kind of psychic distress signal, the word 'useless' echoed on the psychic ether frequencies, echoing around in the minds of those who could hear it.
One of those who heard it, was the girl who just ran away crying. Once again, she burst out in tears. All alone in the storage room she was, because everybody else was obsessed with Avidita. As the word echoed and echoed in the hollow of her mind, she grabbed a pair of scissors. Tears flowed down her cheeks. Shall I do it? I have no purpose for living. Nobody will miss me. She thought looking at the cieling. But the priest did say it's a sin. Yet, God could not possibly exist, why else would I live such a miserable life? How could He do that to me?... There is no purpose. There is no reason. As God does not exist... I have no end goal. No reward for doing good. No reason for refraining from sin. No.... The thoughts of despair, fueled by the tall man's presence, raced through her mind.
