Strengths and Weaknesses

I noticed on other RP sites that to help prevent god modding and help keep the game balanced, they added a mandatory strength and weakness rule for each power.
Example:
Powers and Abilities:
1.Time Warp-Anonymous has the power to reverse time by 5 seconds or slow down time temporarily.
Example:
Powers and Abilities:
1.Time Warp-Anonymous has the power to reverse time by 5 seconds or slow down time temporarily.
- Strength: Due to his lack of speed, Anonymous can use the time warp to better his chances against faster opponents. He can go back 5 seconds earlier knowing what attack will transpire or slow down time so that he can set himself up for a better charged attack.
- Weakness: Although the benefits of Time Warp are good, Anonymous is messing with the fabric of space-time around his existence. Constantly slowing down the flow of battle could have an opposite affect or even freeze him in time. Going back even 5 seconds can eventually become costly as Anonymous could accidentally send himself to a point where he no longer exists/ Also there's a chance of his opponent having a deja vu.

I like the idea. We had something like that, but left it when we got the new system.

That's too bad you guys didn't keep it. I used it in my old board few years ago before it died and it worked like a charm. (may it rest in peace.) It pretty much stopped everyone from throwing nuclear kamehamehas at each other and trying to use telekinesis to rip out someones heart. Before that rule, everyone was just making anti-god characters or characters to counter other characters.

Yes, but the old system had a crapload of flaws that seriously needed to be examined.

But, your idea has lots of potential. It also will seriously nerf overpowered characters, and actually give them some flaws.

Yeah I was looking at one of the characters on here and they had 4 abilities that were just waiting to be god modded. I'm glad the mods caught it though. Nothing better than nerfing someone who thought they were invincible.
