It's weird being human again...

Recovering. They'd asked Scarlet to stay here and recover when all she wanted to do was curl up in Pain's bed again and feel at peace...
Peace.
It was an odd word on Scarlet's lips. Her world had never been peaceful - ever and she had a feeling it wasn't going to stop. She still had a major scar running across her chest and her back was still sore. Even the angels were having difficult healing her. Xyon hardly spent time away from her while he tried to heal her. Him Faith and this other dude's name who she couldn't remember. She thought he was human as well.
Well she was an odd human wasn't she?
So far Faith ahd come to the conclusion she was like a power source for angels. She rested and they could draw energy from her - well Faith could, she wasn't sure about others. She also had control over the elements. Huh.
She flicked through the channels on the TV, utterly bored and missing home and Pain. She settled on the program Scrubs which her brother had been obsessed with before setting the control down.
She sighed and ran a hand through her hair. She hadn't seen Faith in ages either, it was like she was alone here and hero's didn't have time for a wounded human.

After a long day in New York City, a war they were fighting with little progress, him and his brother Entropus fought off the first wave of Hell forces. New York lay partially in ruin from the massive battle that had taken place that day, thousands and thousands of bodies covered the streets, both human and demon. Many have died this day, and yet, this was only the beginning of this war, Hell on Earth... Pain felt today's battle was too easily won, he knew it was only the first of many, he never once encountered an opponent that could really hurt him today. Him and Entropus warped back to what was left of their base after Raide's attack on it, returning back to HQ to get some well deserved and needed rest. Even these guys needed sleep, they couldn't fight off Armageddon if they were exhausted.

Pain stumbled back towards his room in GUN, a room he barely visited anymore since he spent so little time here at GUN. A right hand running through his wet silver hair, he was slightly sweaty and shirtless as he made his way down the hall. His other hand swayed lazily at his side, Pain was obviously a bit worn out.

Pain's mind was at peace right now, for some reason after fighting, or during it, his mind was at peace, well, more peaceful than usual. It just cleared his head up, he always felt better when he was fighting, that's why he liked it so much. It was the thing he was best at, the only thing he was good for, he took pride in it, and so did others...

Pushing the door open to his room, a quick flicker of his eyes before rubbing them with his left hand. He quickly shook his head, his eyes flickering open to view his empty apartment. It seemed empty, but his hearing told him otherwise, he heard a television set, it was on in his bedroom. "Who the hell?" He uttered softly to himself, having no clue on who it could possibly be, his first thoughts being it was an assassin or spy from Raide's army. The thought of it being Scarlet never even passed his mind, guess she just wasn't really on his mind right now, then again nothing really was right now, he had just got done slaughtering thousands of demons after all.

His skin was stained with demon blood, so was jeans , even his hair, it was obvious he had just got done fighting, though it looked more like he had just finished brutally murdering some one. He stepped into his room with out fear, a cocky smirk on his face but his expression would quickly change once he witnessed who was lying in his bed. Scarlet.

His right brow rose, his expression more relaxed and calm before breaking into a flirty half smirk. "Girlie? What the hell are you doin here?" He asked in his usual deep voice, he seemed to be a little happier...

Scarlet blinked slowly, looking up at Pain as he came in she felt a rush of happiness drown her in it's warmth. Scarlet brushed the hair back from her face as she sat up properly in his bed, putting the TV on mute. She took in the state of him and her own wounds were forgotten.
"What happened to you?" she asked, her eyes widening with worry. She was wearing a dressing gown and then her chest was bandaged down to her stomach. She slipped off the bed. It clear that she was wearing nothing under the gown.
"You look, I'm afraid to say, less pleasant than usual hun," she smiled softly.

Pain smirked at her, cracking the bones on every finger in his right hand by simply balling them into a fist as he brought it towards the back of his neck. His hand opened back up and rubbed the back of his neck for a moment, he honestly didn't feel that exhausted. He just wanted a break he guessed, plus he needed to rally his forces together. Well not now, but once morning comes, they gotta save Earth from literally Hell itself.

A lot of shit to think about for Pain, hell, he wasn't much of a strategist. Stick together, kick ass, and I'll protect you. That's Pain's basic fighting plan, he had to be better than that this time, he couldn't just let all his friends have that burden. He had to help to damn it!

Pain's expression eventually returned to normal, well, you couldn't blame him for not looking so pleasant right now. He shrugged at her and softly chuckled. "Alright, Nice bandages, you aint lookin so pleasant yourself..." He chuckled at her. "I was gonna get in the shower after I got some clothes that weren't covered in blood." He said before walking towards his dresser, going to grab an entire new wardrobe, but still something similar to what he usually wore.

Scarlet looked down at herself and huffed slightly, rolling her eyes slowly.
"Raide, fight, angel thing, although I know have my body back and it feels brilliant," she smiled softly and sat back down on the bed as she looked at him. She didn't want to say what had really happened, well, or the gory details seeing as though she was human now but with elemental powers and was a source of angel power.
"I'll be here when you get out, I guess you would want to rest," she said softly with a small smile.

Pain gathered all his clothes, a fresh pair of pants and boxers, along with a thin white tank top, holding them in one hand as he spun around to view the small woman, well small compared to him. It was a nice surprise to see Scarlet tonight, she could easily make the big guy smile. "What ever you wanna do girlie. But if you think I wanna rest when I get out, hell you got another thing comin. The world might end tomorrow, so you best believe you aint gonna be resting anytime soon." He mischievously smirked down at her.

"Oh is that so?" she smiled softly and just laid down happily on his bed, looking up at him. She loved him. She really did. Her heart beat faster when he was near, her whole attention was on him, someone else could walk in now and still she would be dedicated to him.
"Guess you should freshen up because you are not getting in this bed with blood on you," she grinned, her eyes twinkling as she slowly put one leg up so it was bent at the knee, her dressing gown covered her private area but one long leg was visable.

Pain's bright blue eyes studied her figure relaxed on his bed, her expression, glowing, changed from self-doubt to confidence in seconds. In his right hand was a change of clothes, his left hand from, moving to brush his hair back as his eyes moved over to the bathroom door, then trailed back to Scarlet. He saw he had some sort of effect on her, guessed he expected as much from her, a crush on the big guy, her first real love. Pain kinda felt bad about that, he had lived a life far before she ever came into his. There was much more to his story that she had no part of, she just hadn't been here long enough, call me paranoid, cynical, insecure, what ever. Aint ready to say anything about love, well at least I don't wanna be.

"Yeah. Planned on it." He said plainly as he half smiled at her, a true smile almost impossible to get from him. He then turned from her and walked towards the bathroom to shower.

Scarlet let her smile disappear when he had gone into the shower. Her chest and stomach where killing her - literally. She slipped off the bed and peeked at the wounds before sighing. Yeah, they'd come unstiched again - oh the joys. She slowly restiched the thread that held her skin together like Faith had shown her then got rid of the old bandages for new ones. She pressed her lips together softly as the scars that would be left. It wasn't that she cared, more the fact she couldn't DO anything while she was like this. She felt like a couch potatoe. She slipped back into bed and rested her back on the pillows. A human energy tank and she couldn't keep in the fit healthy state she should be in to be of more use. Faith was liturally drunk last time she'd seen her on the amount of energy Scarlet had let her had.
If the other angels used her maybe...

After a long refreshing and needed shower, scrubbing the demon blood off his skin and out of his hair. He stepped out of the hot and steamy bathroom, clouds of steam escaping through the door, his figure blending in until he stepped towards her. A smirk across his face as he looked into her eyes, she looked to be in pain, it was kind of obvious. Still having some adrenaline pumping through his veins, it was hard for him to truly calm down after such an intense battle, so he did his best to fight off his primal instincts and kept cool as he stood before her, dressed in a gray tank top and black boxers.

Still not fully dried off, small streams water dripping down his face and body, he leaned in for a kiss, planting one on her lips before pulling away from her and looking into her eyes. A comforting right hand placed onto her shoulder as their eyes connected, his deep raspy voice echoing from his lips. "You don't look too good girlie, I think you need some help."

"Thank you, you don't look to bad yourself," she laughed softly, kissing back as she looked up into his eyes. He was now basically on the bed in front of her and she really didn't want to move from this spot.
"I'm fine Pain," she said, cupping his cheek with her hand, adding a smile to it. "It comes and goes, Xyon said it'd be like that for a while, I'm fine - honest," she smiled and kissed him again.
"If I feel like I'm about to be sick I'll tell you, how about that?" she grinned, her eyes full of a playfulness that made her face light up.

Pain didn't believe she was just okay, she was obviously in pretty bad shape. He stopped himself from further questioning her on it though, he had always respected the wounded and fallen even though he was a brute. He hated being questioned if he was okay, so he figured others felt the same. Standing there silently, his bright blue oceanic eyes staring into hers as she kissed him. The smile on her face, the playfulness in her voice brought a half smirk to the big guy's face, softly shaking his head and lowering it, trying to hide it. "Just makin sure ya aint dead or dyin, aint here to play doctor." Just Pain being himself as usual, hard to get, cynical and rude. Crossing his arms as he stood before her, trying to be stoic, something he was damned good at; well except with her, he was a pretty bad liar when it came to this gal.

Scarlet raise an eyebrow then which was quickly followed by a playful smirk and the twinkle in her eyes showed she wasn't buying those words.
"It's nice to know you worry about me though big guy," she said and moved so she was resting on her knees so she was closer to his head height so she could look into his eyes, those beautiful eyes that made her heart race. Her hair was still slightly wet from the shower but she didn't mind. She felt at home.
"Oh? No doctors?" She pulled a playful sad face before tracing patterns over his chest. "I think you'd look good in a doctor uniform.

Pain rose a brow at her, doctor uniform? Hell no. Shit it was hard enough to get him to wear a shirt. He softly chuckled as his head shook at her, his expression somewhat playful. "Nah, Can't brawl in that shit." Almost everything came back to fighting with Pain, it was always an obsession of his.

Scarlet laughed at that comment. Yeah Dcotors didn't suit Pain - maybe Xyon but not Pain. She bit her lip wondering what would suit Pain. Fireman? Police officer?
"Army man," she said, looking up at him. "You'd look good in the army uniform," she smiled softly, tracing patterns over his chest. She didn't know what they were but it just felt right, powerful and protective. It was probably something from Faith's memory that had gotten lodged in her mind.
"I'm completely human now... And Faith is a seperate person..." she said slowly, chewing her lip, looking up at him for a moment. "But I still control the elements - just to let you know."
