It's weird being human again...

Scarlet laughed at that comment. Yeah Dcotors didn't suit Pain - maybe Xyon but not Pain. She bit her lip wondering what would suit Pain. Fireman? Police officer?
"Army man," she said, looking up at him. "You'd look good in the army uniform," she smiled softly, tracing patterns over his chest. She didn't know what they were but it just felt right, powerful and protective. It was probably something from Faith's memory that had gotten lodged in her mind.
"I'm completely human now... And Faith is a seperate person..." she said slowly, chewing her lip, looking up at him for a moment. "But I still control the elements - just to let you know."

Pain smirked down at her, his arms crossing over his chest, his bright blue eyes tracing her form, eventually reaching her taring into her eyes, seeing into her 'soul'; her eyes spoke a thousand words with one glare, full of emotions. With a slight nod of his head he began speaking in his deep and gruff voice. "Good, was kinda worried about that. We're gonna need all the help we can get." A soft breath escaped his lips, fading into a smirk which showed off his somewhat discolored teeth; they were mostly white and healthy, with merely a touch of smokers teeth. "Shit I can only kill so many at a time, gotta have the rest of ya pick up my slack." He softly chuckled at her.

Scarlet smiled softly and chewed her lip, not sure if she should say the next bit. Well she guessed it would show how he felt about her... and if it was the same as how she felt. She brushed a hand over his cheek gently.
"I'm surprised you don't fight the entire army yourself to be honest," she grinned softly. "It's like... your invincible," she said softly and shook her head. "Which is stupid, everyone had a weakness right?"

His head tilted down, then softly shook at her, disagreeing with her statement. He was strong but not invincible, this was just not something he could do alone. He need all the help he could get to take down this army; he needed his own damn army. His head rose to view her eyes once again, her hand gently caressing his cold cheek; he barely felt a thing. His eyes were fierce and full of fire, determination and pride; he had never let anything stop him before and he wouldn't start now. "Aint nobody perfect girlie. If they aint got a weakness, I'll beat their asses til they get one." He smirked confidently at her.

"We got this girlie. Together...We got this."

Scarlet nodded and chewed her lip slowly and looked at Pain.
"Would you use me?" she asked suddenly. She needed to know. It was building up in her. She needed to know now if she was just an object to him or something more... Or could be... or if he was willing to but wouldn't like it... she just needed some kind of raction other than 'I'd use you if it meant the earth was saved'.

"The angels think... I am like... an energy storage human... I can..." She paused on how best to explain it. "I can transfer different powers to people... I don't know how it just happens... When I open this barrier thing Faith and Xyion helped put around my mind, it's like I can find a persons true gift and I can give it to them... like a big energy box," she smiled slightly.

"Would you use me in the war?" she asked, biting her lip.

Lost at words, he wasn't sure what to say to her, what words to use so that he didn't sound like an idiot. Of course he'd use her in the war, everyone would be used in the war, but why did she put it that way? Like she were nothing more than an expendable tool, even though she was much more. Did she really feel that way? Did he make her feel that way? Shit too many questions running through his head, too many he was never good at answering.

To Pain, her powers were kind of confusing, powers outside of the physical body always seemed strange to him. All he knew was that they were blasting him with an element, lifting up heavy objects or debris with out touching it, hell some of them even multiplied. That shit never made sense to him.

"Whether you fight or not is up to you, and what you do out there aint up to me;" He briefly and very softly chuckled before continuing his sentence. "Never was good at comin up with the strategies. But you best believe I got your back; I bet we'll make one hell of a team. " He said as he nudged her, a playful smirk stretching across his scarred face.

Scarlet smiled slightly and nodded before she sat up, resting her back against the head board of his bed. She wasn't really sure what to say. She was just a worthless human again really. Scar slowly ran a hand through her hair as thought ran through her mind. She was a power source, a wonderfully weird power source people could drain any power from she'd come across. Did Pain have a power? She didn't understand hers at all. She covered her face with her hands in confusion, slowly running then back through her hair again. She'd just have to do some research.
"Feeling better then?" she asked, turning the subject away from her and on to him. He'd looked a messed when he'd walked in now he seemed perfectly fine.

Pain looked at her with a raised brow, his expression curious as she rested her back against the headboard. She seemed to have a lot on her mind, like she was really stressed out or confused or something like that. He never was the greatest at reading emotions, but he could tell something was wrong. He placed his large left hand onto her cheek, softly brushing her hair behind her ear. "Hey girlie, you know you can tell me if somethin is wrong." He had completely ignored her question on purpose simply because how he was feeling didn't matter. The big guy was fine, it was his girl he was worried about.

Scarlet's green eyes turned to look up at Pain as he cupped her cheek. She bit her lip gently, lost to the world in which his eyes opened in her. She felt happy just being in his arms, his touch on her skin. She relaxed easily into him, resting her cheek in his large hand. Home, he felt like home. She shook her head, closing her eyes.
"I just love you and love how you make me feel happy," she said, though she'd only meant to think it.

Pain smiled at her, a warm and loving smile, well as warm and loving as Pain's naturally angry looking face can get. "I know..." He said calmly and softly, his eyes blinking slowly while his bright blue optics stared into hers. "You've made me happier than I've been in years. Shit, my life's been like a damn roller-coaster as long as I can remember. Aint nothin ever goes right for me." Pain softly sighed as he rose to his feet, his back facing her. But with you it aint like that, I feel like I aint gonna lose you... Now I'm not sure what love is, cause I aint ever been loved...But I know for damn sure I'ma do my best to not mess up this time..." Pain's head turned to view her over his shoulder, a single piercing blue eye viewing her. "I can't lose you too..."

Even now Pain was still afraid to love some one, and even more afraid to admit he did...

Scarlet got to her feet and made her way over to him. She stood in front of him and took his hands in hers as she looked up at him, leaning up and kissing him ever so lightly on the lips, she looked up at him.
"I'm not leaving you, I promise," she said softly. She'd heard things about Pains past from the other people in the Hand of Justice and from what she'd heard Pain had been seriously hurt by girls in the past. She hated that he had been hurt.
"I'm never going to hurt you."

"Sounds too good to be true...Like a goddamn fairy tale..." Pain turned his head away for a moment, he didn't really think he'd ever feel this way about anyone ever again. He hated the feeling, but at the same time loved it. He wasn't sure what he wanted, to go in and die a hero, alone and proud; saving the Earth one last time. Shit what if it ended up like that...

He hated thinking that way, but at the same time, what would be left for him if he were to survive and he loses those most important to him. He figures it's a trade off, cause some one's got to die right? Can't save the world with out losing a few guys, maybe he'd be one of 'em this time.

"Scarlet. Let's get some rest....We'll need some rest for all the shit we're gonna face tomorrow. Savin the Earth again, shit this is gettin old..." He softly chuckled as he planted a kiss onto her forehead He gently wrapped his muscular arms around her, holding her close. He blinked slowly, feeling guilty for not saying he loved her back, but it was just difficult for some reason. Eh fuck it...."Ey girlie...I love ya..."

He shook his head and looked away for a brief moment, still felt weird as shit. First women he ever really said it to since Raine...Shit...He looked back to her and kissed her forehead. Here they were standing in front of his bed, Pain moving in to kiss her, a more romantic kiss than usual; big guy was doing his best. They'd get some rest after this, but he felt that she needed this moment more than he did....

Scarlet listened to what he said about fairytales and to be fair, it did sound like a fairytale but Scarlet was in love and she had never been so sure of a feeling in all her life. She just knew that she would do anything to make him happy. She pulled a face at the rest bit. She'd been resting for ages! But he needed rest and snuggling up with him was a happy thought.
But when he said he loved her... A thrill went through her body and she smiled softly, appriciating that moment as she kissed him back. She then poked him gently in the chest.
"Hey I love you for your toughness don't go wimpy on me now," she grinned playfully but it was evident on her face that she was happy he had returned her love.

Pain softly chuckled at her, his bright blue optics hidden from her as he smiled. He wrapped his left arm around her and pulled her close, his hand stroking her lower back. Love was hard for him, hard to accept, hard to believe in. He had just hoped he wasn't fooling himself, playing a game with his own heart.

Bright blue eyes were slowly revealed to gaze upon that beautiful face, a chill ran through his spine. He planted another kiss onto her forehead while he held her close. He opened his mouth, his voice soft as he spoke. "You're the only person who could call me a wimp and wouldn't get knocked out." Pain's aggressive, crude and vulgar sense of humor still hasn't changed, and it probably never will.

"Now let's get to bed already...I'm fuckin tired."

Scarlet couldn't help but laugh at the statement. Yeah, she wasn't getting on the wrong side of Pain in a long time that was for sure, she didn't want to and she liked her limbs in the right place! She just nodded, noticing the tired look in her boyfriends eyes - ohmigooood ! Faith was going to never let her live this down - like - ever. Oh well. A blush seeped over her cheeks faintly before she slipped under the covers, taking off her dressing gown, she'd get to hot in the night if she wore it. So, only in a vest top and her panties she curled up under the covers and curled up with Pain in the bed.

It just felt like home.

Pain followed her to the bed, already undressed down to his boxers so he had no need to undress any further. Slipping under the covers with her, his massive left arm wrapping around her, holding her close. He could barely feel her against his skin, but hell, it was a lot better than nothing. His right hand rested behind his head, his eyes fixed upon the ceiling, slowly blinking as he tried to force himself to sleep. Something he rarely did, being an insomniac kinda sucked, but it had it's upsides. He had a lot on his mind right now, a lot of shit was coming his way. He had to lead an army of heroes into pretty much Hell. Shit, who wouldn't have trouble sleeping? It didn't take nearly as long as usual to fall asleep though, guess he had Scarlet to thank for that...
