Seen by many as brash and headstrong, Max sees himself as a suave playboy, with a great sense of humor. All of these things are true, and more, as Max is also known to be sarcastic, caring, and a bit annoying.

The Story

When Max was born, the Greek God, Hermes looked down on him and granted him with several gifts, which Max would discover later in his life. As he grew, Max came to realize that he was faster than other kids. All the other kids. As he grew older, he grew faster. And Max decided, when he reached high school, that he was going to use this power for GOOD!

And then immediately changed his mind when he realized he could make money using it instead. During high school, Max used his super speed to courier items for people, always charging a reasonable rate for his services. The older he grew, the faster he got, the more his reputation grew. And Max, being the opportunistic guy he is, saw that if he courier for everyone, no one would want to see him get arrested. So Max plays both sides against the middle, and makes money off it as he does.

The Powers

Super Speed: Max is fast. Faster than fast. His speed is such that he once ran around the world, and back again, in the time it takes a man to blink. Using his super speed, Max is able to run across water, up, or down, buildings, and he was once able to outrun the blast from a laser gun.
Super Strength: Due to the nature of his super speed, Max is able to punch through solid steel, as long as he's running.

The Weaknesses

Super Metabolism: Because of his super speed, and the nature it works, Max has to consume incredible amounts of calories after using his speed. The more he uses it, the more he has to eat.
Only as Strong as I am Fast: When not using his speed, Max is only as strong as a normal human.
