Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

Sound of Walking Away
Padding foot steps beat down the side walk as rain ripped open from deep gray clouds. Bodies would huddle together under umbrellas shared by lovers, and then there would be the occasional loner with a poncho or personal umbrella. But this girl, no. Not her. She was alone. She had found herself back in Tokyo of all the places she could have gone, and it was without rhyme or reason. She felt like it was the only place she could be without people she could run into. First of all, she was ethnically different and in a very low populated minority for this country. Second of all, she loved all the food they had to offer. Third of all? There was no third reason.
Well, if you could count the fact she had been homeless for the last four months, going from place to place, and maxing out all of her credit cards. Uzma Williams was her name, and she was running for cover. The rain had come so quickly, soaking her faster than hurricane Katrina destroyed New Orleans.
Sighing, her foggy breath escaped her as the freezing rain coated her mocha skin. Goose pimples would raise as she shivered, her destination finally being met. She stood in the little foyer of a noodle shop. It was down a back alley and she had discovered it during her last trip here. Not many people knew about it, but it was ran out of a secondary apartment space in a duplex. An older couple had decided to open it, and they were very pleasant people.
"You going to catch cold! Come, come." Mrs. Hironaka said, draping a soft linen blanket around of Uzma's shoulders. Pulling it tight around of herself, she stepped into the shop, a few customers sitting in the smaller booths and at the bar.
"Arigato," Uzma would say, her Japanese actually better than she had expected it to be. Mrs. Hironaka would just laugh and usher Uzma to sit down by the heater.
Pulling the blanket up around of her head, she would curl up, her back leaning against one of the three column's that supported the upstairs apartment. It was a small area, just seven to eight hundred square feet. Four booths, five tables, and a bar made up the majority of the furniture in the room. Two heaters were placed inside as well. The rest of the lower floor consisted of the kitchen which wasn't much bigger, a bathroom, and a supply closet. The upstairs was off of a hallway that would lead to the Hironaka's living space.
Shivering, she would just lean against the column, her eyes closed as the blanket practically hid her identity. Her clothes, a pair of worn out jeans with holes in the knees, a pair of beat up high top sneakers, an old worn out Girl ALIVE! band t-shirt, and a pleather jacket made up her outfit. She was wet, but the warmth and the blanket was helping. Her stomach being empty was the only thing making this day worse... that and the fact that she had recently tried to rent a hotel room and all of her credit cards had expired. She was lucky she had found this place or she was sure she would be out in the cold for another night.
That or she would have to ascend and literally sleep in the stratosphere so the sun could shine on her while she 'slept.' Cause she actually never gets to sleep when she's full blown Alien form. It's hard to sleep when your body literally won't let you if you're in 'Guardian of Planet Earth' mode.
Sighing, she just kept her eyes closed and drifted off to sleep. She could easily get a good hour or two nap here, as long as the Hironaka's didn't kick her out. But who knows, maybe they felt pity for her and would let her sleep by the heater tonight.

Re: Sound of Walking Away
Steam seemed to ripple off the young cambion as he the rain came down heavier and heavier, attempting to drench the man. However, a thin sheet of fire prevented the rains attempts, flames so hot they created a 'dry zone' around him. A lazy yawn escaped from his mouth, as he watched the people huddle and rush around him.
To say he stood out would be understating it. Ignoring the fact that he was a good foot taller than everyone, the tail and pointed elf like ears did nothing to help him blend in, but that was fine. It hadn't bothered him in a long time, not since he became a hero, since he took up the moniker of Entei. Besides that, he was too engrossed in his phone to really notice much around him. Lazy flicks to the left sent picture after picture on the holographic display in front of him, all of them of himself and Uzma. From their first date, to moving him into her old apartment, to their first meeting at the Guardian hall, he would look at them all for moments, before flicking to the next.
A sigh escaped from his mouth as he clicked the lock on his phone, tucking it away into the pocket of his dress pants. Pulling again at the tie around his neck, loosening it a bit more, he picked his pace up a bit. For the last few minutes he had been following a delicious scent that had wafted to his nose, letting that guide his way through the confusing streets and back alleys.
"Ohayao gozaimasu." He said as he stepped into the noodle shop, a warm smile on his face. He continued towards the counter, leaning against it, completely oblivious to people in the room. He couldn't help shake this feeling that he recognized a scent in the room, but just internally shrugged his shoulders. "Hello? Anyone here? I used all of my Japanese up saying hello."
A small grimace grew on his face, letting out a sigh as he scratched the back of his neck. He rolled the sleeves of his white collared shirt up a bit farther, exposing a bit more of his forearm, before tapping on the counter.

Re: Sound of Walking Away
An hour had passed, yet she still slept. The blanket was draped perfectly, keeping most of her features masked. The very tip of her nose was the only thing peeking out from under the stark white shawl. The soft rise and fall of her shoulders would make the blanket shift, it exposing a bit more of her face.
Behind the counter a small woman shuffled into view. She was adequately shaped, her figure full for her age. Her hair was the perfect balance of salt and pepper colors. The intricate folds and wrinkles along her face made her look even more cute. She cracked a smile over her face and offered a menu to Entei.
"Ohayou gozaimasu." she would greet, indicating she had given him an English menu with her finger tapping on the surface.
She would then move around from the back of the counter and check on the other three tables that had lingering customers. She would speak in Japanese until she moved to the person huddled in the blanket. Uzma's knees were pulled up to her chest, one arm laid over them and her chin pressed onto her arm. Her other hand was clutching her phone, it pressed against her cheek as she slept. The blanket was like a warm shield.
Reaching a hand down, Mrs. Hironaka would gently wake Uzma.
"Are you hungry, my friend?" she would ask, carefully pulling Uzma from her slumber.
Stretching, Uzma's arms around reach up into the air, knocking the blanket off of her as she yawned. Looking to Mrs. Hironaka through half-lidded eyes, she shrugged and moved a hand down to reach for what little cash she had left.
"No, no." Mrs. Hironaka said, swatting Uzma's hand away.
"Listen, lady. You're nice as hell, but come on. You've gotta let me do something for you." Uzma said, standing up and folding the blanket as she did. Offering it back to Mrs. Hironaka, Uzma would shoved her phone into her pocket and sigh.
"You on dish duty then." she said, making a few people chuckle.
"That's not going to be so bad, eh?" she said, turning to follow Mrs. Hironaka toward the back. Her eyes finally caught who was sitting at the bar area. Tall, lean, handsome. A prehensile tail with a tuft of fur at the end. Elf like ears, and a crooked smile. Stopping she bowed and coughed.
"On second thought, I uh, I gotta go!" Uzma would turn and try for the exit.
Could she really face him after all this time?

Re: Sound of Walking Away
"Oh. Right. Thanks." Michael said, giving a small bow of his head. He thumbed through the menu absentmindedly, slowly coming to the realization he had never been to a noodle house. He had absolutely no idea what any of these dishes were. He cocked his head towards the kitchen area, taking another large sniff with his nose. Whatever was cooking was delicious, causing him to scowl a bit. If only he had paid attention when his assistant was explaining basic Japanese phrases to him.
He let out a small, exasperated sigh, and looked back down at the menu. There were tons of options, more than he had been expecting honestly. He ran his finger over the menu slowly, following it down the long, seemingly never ending list.
"Gah... what's the dish they always get in anime.." He muttered under his breath, scratching at the back of his head in true anime fashion.
"That's not going to be so bad, eh?"
A voice from one of the tables caused the young man's ears to perk up, which was very noticeable considering the shape of them. It was a familiar voice, soft yet confident, and full of sass. His brows furrowed as he thought, continuing to look down at the menu.
"On second thought, I uh, I gotta go!"
There it was again. So familiar, like a memory that was just out of reach. He turned in his seat, looking behind him. That was when his mouth was left agape. Caramel skin, bright green eyes, and short, shaved black hair. His hand floated to the necklace that he wore beneath his dress shirt, to the engagement ring that she had thrown at him.
"U..Uzma?" He said, loud enough for the restaurant to hear it. Not that it took much in this small residence. "I.. is that.. but we're in Japan.. how are you.. I.."
His voice was lost in his throat, all the usual confidence he held gone. His blue eyes seemed to go softer, as if looking at her might make the visage disappear.

Re: Sound of Walking Away
She was about to cross over the door frame when he called her name. Why did he have to do that? Why did this always have to happen to her? Why?
She felt her heart lurch backward before jumping into her throat. She felt a wave of anger, then sorrow, and finally just pure longing rush over her. Her hands were literally shaking, her whole body trembling from anticipation.
She finally moved, her feet shuffling to make herself stand up a little straighter. Mrs Hironaka, hell, the whole five people in the restaurant were watching, eyes turning between the odd boy with pointed ears and a tail, and the poorly dressed caramel princess who stood with a shimmering iridescent energy floating from the edge of her eyes.
Sniffling softly, she cracked a wide, broken smile over her face and turned around.
"YEP! It's me. It's you. It's Ja-fucking-pan- I'm so sorry Mrs. Hironaka. Gomenasai." Uzma would wave a hand at the owner of the shop and bow deeply before turning to her pose beforehand. Her still shaking hands would move up and brush one of her dreads behind of her shoulder as she pulled her tattered jacket around of herself.
"Are we going to do this thing where I forgive you, you forgive me. We kiss, we make up, and then a few months later I throw more things at you, Michael? Or are we finally going to get the happy ending both of us want? Cause I really, really don't think I can do this again. I. I just don't know what to do any more. I think about you, you know. I always think about you. It's hard NOT to think about you. And, yeah. So what. I'm homeless, I smell weird, and I really need to take a shower." scratching at the back of her head she sighed, tears streaming down her face as she took in a deep, shaky breath.
Uzma was at a loss for words now, all of her feelings having been spat right then, right there. She had honestly never once in a thousand years even thought she would run into him again... yet here he was. Plain as day.

Re: Sound of Walking Away
Michael blinked awkwardly as Uzma released all the pent up anger, remorse, and whatever other feelings she had been storing up at him. He didn't move to cut her off, or really move at all. He just let her explode, knowing it was him in the wrong here. When she finished, he sat there, opening his mouth a bit before closing it. He really wasn't sure what he should say, he wasn't sure if he should say anything. Hell, he wasn't even sure if he knew HOW to speak at the current moment. All he knew was even though she yelled, and screamed, there was nothing but joy in his heart for hearing her voice.
"Well, um, you've thought a lot about this I can see." He finally said, swallowing the breath in his throat. "But um.. I don't think we should discuss this here. These people are sort of trying to eat.."
He let out a nervous laugh, pulling at the tie around his neck. He took a step towards her, putting his hands in his pockets as he did. Despite how much he wanted to reach out, to take her hand and pull her into his embrace, he knew he should resist. At least for now.
"I have a hotel room. Well, the presidential suite of a hotel. Perks of half demon sisters, ya'know?" He laughed again, still just as nervous, now standing in front of her. "Maybe I can get you some new clothes as well. It's the least I can do you know? I wanna talk this out, I do. But I want you to be comfortable before that. You don't look so comfortable right now, Uzma."
He was doing his best to stay calm, to stay impartial, but god she smelled good. He swallowed again, holding out a hand to her. His palms were calloused and worn, a sign that he had been training with his sword again. A lot, it seemed.
"I know you're mad, but let me treat you like the princess you are, yea? I've done nothing but think of you as well."

Re: Sound of Walking Away
Mrs Hironaka would make a face as if to say 'no, no, keep going,' and then feign away to behind the counter.
Uzma's shoulders would fall a bit as she relaxed, but only for a second. She immediately tensed back up when he took a step toward her. It was ridiculous of her, yeah, but she knew he would try to embrace her or something if she wasn't careful. And then there she would be, in his arms and just whisked away to, what, wonderland? Or was it underland?
Nearly gagging in jealous disgust, she rolled her eyes.
"Ugh. Way to make me feel even more worthless. Jesus." she peeled off the jacket she was wearing and tossed it at his feet.
"You bought me that, remember?" she said, kicking off her shoes too. She started to unbutton her pants as she continued to rant.
"I don't need hand outs, Michael. I need to be treated like a normal person. Is that so much to ask? I just want to be normal! It's hard to be normal when you're like me, you know?" she screamed, the sclera of her eyes flashing from the milky white to deep ebony. The higher her stress levels became, the closer she was to transforming right then and there in front of everyone.
She was so angry and confused emotionally that she had no idea it was happening.
"Actually, these pants are mine. I got them from Suzy. But. I'm pretty sure those shoes were a gift from your niece, and here." she said, buttoning the pants and then pulling out her phone. The cracked screen was evidence she had definitely been neglected for quite some time.
"Your old number stopped working so if you want to, you can catch up on all the texts I sent you, too." she said, grabbing his hand and shoving the device there before taking a few steps back.
There was a lot of angry messages at first, but then they slowly turned into 'I miss you' 'I love you' and 'I should have never thrown that ring at you. I'm an idiot. I'm sorry, and you deserve better.'

Re: Sound of Walking Away
A slight blush spread across his face, and his eyebrows raised as she began to unbutton her pants, all the while screaming. He tried to open his mouth to get a word in, but realized the futility of it as she went on. He averted his gaze, looking down at the jacket. Seeing it now, he did remember. It was one of his old jackets, he had outgrown it when he muscled up from training, and she had taken it as hers. She had said she liked the smell of it.
He continued to listen, just shaking his tail behind him as she questioned if he knew what it was like to not be normal. He had considered igniting his horns, but, thought that might be a bit too much sarcasm. He was only allowed so much in his position.
"I... I'm sorry." He said, his voice sticking in his throat. "These.. aren't hand outs.."
As he said that, he bent down, picking up the jacket. With his free hand, he batted at it to shake off the dust that had gathered on it. He put it over one shoulder as he read the text from her phone, a small lump gathering in his throat.
"I didn't offer that because it's charity.." He said, slowly trying to find the words. Placing the phone back into her small hands. "I offer it because the other half of my heart belongs to you, and what's mine is yours. It's not charity Uzma, it's just offering you what you already deserve."

Re: Sound of Walking Away
She accepted the phone, but only because it was literally one of the only things she still had good memories on. Placing it into her pocket she sighed and wiped her face.
"I really want to be mad at you. I probably should be mad at you. But. God damn it." she stepped forward and placed herself into his arms, her face pressing into his chest. She breathed him in, her eyes closing as she leaned her forehead into his sternum.
"Why does the universe keep tearing us apart if we just need to be together?" she asked, her hands gripping the back of his shirt as she held onto him.
A small round of applause erupted in the noodle house when Uzma had apparently given in and accepted Michael's apology.
"I still have some things I need to talk to you about. But for now," she placed a hand along his jaw and gave him a kiss. It wasn't sloppy, or gross. It was completely out of a rom-com. The boy gets the girl, and the girl is glad it was the right boy kind of kiss.
And it would go down in history; or something like that. But, all good things had to come to an end. Uzma ended the kiss and cleared her throat.
"I owe Mrs. Hironaka a lot of money or something. She's literally been taking care of me for the last week." Uzma said, a sheepish expression on her face as she looked over to the older woman behind the counter.

Re: Sound of Walking Away
Michael stood still, more shocked than anything for an instant, before his arms wrapped around her. He had not expected this outcome, he had expected her to hate him. To send him away and ask him to never look at her again.
Slowly, his arms wrapped around her, before squeezing her tight. Well, tight for a normal person, he was holding back a lot of his true strength. His cheek nuzzled against her hair, his eyes closing.
The kiss surprised him more though, causing him to open his eyes wide, before closing them again and embracing the moment. As he pulled away, a smile crossed his lips.
"Well, I wasn't expecting that." He said, pulling her in for another kiss, one arm wrapping tight around her. The other reached into his pocket, pulling out the wad of yen that was folded in his pocket and dropping it on a nearby table. The wad all together was around 1,200 USD, but he didn't care at this moment. "So.. should we head to the hotel room? Talk?"

Re: Sound of Walking Away
Sighing into his shirt, she would shift her head, nuzzling back into him for a moment before peeling away from him and offering a smile, albeit a teary eyed one. The tears were just left over from all the emotions she had pent up for such a long time.
Uzma would wipe them away with the back of her hand and then wipe her nose on the collar of her shirt. She didn't care at this point what people thought of her. She would likely never see the majority of the people here ever again.
Standing next to him, and slightly leaned into him as they took a moment to breathe, she let a soft chuckle pass her lips.
"I should kick your ass." she said, sniffling again. She licked over her lips and then accepted the kiss, her hands finding their way to caress his face. More applause. It was almost like they were in a movie at this point, or some sappy comedy show about a boy and a girl that always seem to break up and get back together.
But this time - no. Uzma was going to make it her goal to try and stick with him.
If this even was a relationship anymore.
Or was becoming one.
Or something like that.
"That's... a lot of money," she said, finally breaking their embrace to move to his side.
"And.. sure. It'd be nice to let these guys eat in, ya kno, peace?" wiping her face for a fifth time, she cleared her throat and let out a soft cough.
"Can you do the thing?" she asked, indicating she wanted to be picked up and carried out of there like the princess she so desired to be.

Re: Sound of Walking Away
Michael laughed at the girl's antics, closing his eyes and shaking his head. He pressed his forehead to hers one last time, before placing a gentle kiss onto it. At the request to 'do it', he blushed, before realizing what she was really requesting.
"R-right here? But there's so many pe- OH! You mean.. yea I can.. uh I can do that.." He coughed into his hand, looking up at the ceiling for a moment. "It's a bit cold though, so put this on."
Removing the jacket from his shoulder, and helping her into it, he made sure it was zipped before clapping his hand together. From his back two large plumes of fire erupted, spreading into the form of two, almost skeletal looking wings, before disappearing into harmless embers, cool to the touch, the fell to the floor of the noodle house, creating a dazzling light show in front of the guest.
"Well then, Uzma-hime." He said, bending down to hook the girl under her knees, lifting her bridal style in his arms. "Shall we take off?"
Wings bent against his sides, he stepped into the trickling rain, his natural heat once again creating steam that belted off of his form. Once in the alleyway, he spread his wings wide, letting their full, massive span bellow out behind him.
Giving them a quick flap, sending papers and trash flying from around them. He gave her a final kiss, before giving another powerful flap, lifting them off of the ground.

Re: Sound of Walking Away
A wider smile broke across her face as he kissed her forehead. It was something so simple,
but something so sweet and it made her feel all the more special. But of course he would have thought her suggestion was a bit more in the gutter than she had intended.
"Not that--" she started, but he had already realized he let his mind go somewhere it shouldn't have. Slipping from his side she would put her shoes back on and grab the jacket, slipping it back on as well.
Watching him, she realized he was going to do it right here in the noodle house.
"I don't think you shou--.." she cut herself off because it was too late. His hands clapped together and his wings were spread out behind of him faster than any of the guests could blink. He had even moved and scooped her up.
Tucking herself into his arms, she would sigh happily, her eyes closing.
"I hate to say it, but I hope you can find someone to make sure these people don't report you to that government agency that kills meta humans, demons, and aliens." she was shut up with another kiss before he pulled them up and into the air. The rain wasn't nearly as heavy as it was a few hours ago, but the sky was still filled with sorrow.
Leaning her head onto his chest, she just relaxed, waiting to be brought to the hotel for their more in-depth chat about their future, and how their lives had been.

Re: Sound of Walking Away
Michael laughed as he flew through the air, the wind blowing his wild mane of hair crazily. He looked to the woman in his arms, to her head nestled into his chest, and he just smiled. Another powerful beat of wings sent them forward faster before he rode the drafts of warm air, gliding at a steady pace through the Japanese sky.
"I'm not too worried about that." He said, responding to her earlier concern. "If they send someone I'll just beat them up."
He laughed, doing a small barrel roll, pulling Uzma closer into him. The flight was short, considering the speed in which the young man flew. He lazily drifted towards the large upscale hotel that he was staying at, until he arrived outside of his room, and realized he had a problem.
"Oh.. right.." He said, as he slowly let himself fall towards ground level. His wings would beat ever so softly, keeping them falling at a gingerly pace. "I forgot.. you can't phase through walls like I can. We'll have to just take the elevator I guess."

Re: Sound of Walking Away
"You can't just beat everyone up that looks at you funny. If I did that, I'd have zero friends." mumbling into his collarbone, she just stayed curled up there, the warmth radiating off of him making her feel a million times better.
Sometimes she wondered how she could so easily forgive him... but then she remembered that shitty things happened to people all the time, and it's worth it if you can learn to forgive and move passed things.
Her right hand was tucked along the edge of his jaw, just gently holding onto him as they flew. As he turned into the barrel roll, she felt her body lurch. Holding onto him tighter, she let out a little yelp of surprise.
"Hey! Warn me next time," she let out a little sound of relief when they leveled out and she felt less motion sickness.
"Problem? Can't you just, like, unlock the window or something?" she asked, her brow raising.
"I mean, I can fly too, if you remember." she said, a soft chuckle passing her lips. For the time being, she made a temporary platform of cosmic energy. It was attached to the side of the building, jutting out horizontally. She would step onto it, letting go of Michael to stand on her own for just long enough to become her alien self.
"... Ascend." she would command, her eyes snapping open to reveal black sclera surrounding the same bright green eyes. Her body became enveloped with the same cosmic energy she was standing on, and soon she was standing in her alien form. Cracking her neck, she hovered in place, the cosmic platform having been absorbed into her body. A thin layer of cosmic energy surrounded her body, forcing the rain to change at a molecular level and become absorbed much like her cosmic energy. This only happened with elements that occurred naturally in the world, and if they were small enough to break down; a rain drop being small enough to break down by the barrier surrounding her. Snow flakes could be treated the same way - but not sleet or hail.
"So?" she would ask, her head tilting curiously.
