Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

Ophelia Grimm (The Ghost Girl)
Ophelia Grimm
“You look like you’ve seen a ghost!”
Basic Biography |
Real Name: Ophelia Grimm Renegade/Hero/Villain Name: Ghosty Title: The friendly ghost, Troubled soul, experiment 08 Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Age: 25 Gender: Female Race: Ghost Hair: White Eyes: Purple Height: 5’7” Weight: 0lbs. Blood type: None. |
The Looks |
Ophelia would and does on most occasion look like a relatively young and attractive woman, if it weren’t for the fact that she was a ghost, making her appear completely white and opaque with the only sign of color being her eye. Ophelia was and still is a rather slender looking girl, and as one would expect, she has a slender face with a thin nose, seductive eyes, and a long flowing plume of pure white hair that reaches all the way down to her lower back. Due to her very nature, Ophelia tends to change her appearance often, though never straying from her basic features, her slender body that happens to be curvy in just the right places, and her beautiful face. Ophelia often hides her true appearance, even from those closest to her, just out of the sheer pain and horrible memories it tends to bring out. If one were to get the rare chance to gaze upon this ghastly image, they to would almost be able to feel the very pain that the young woman had to endure to receive such an appearance. In her true state Ophelia appears like her normal self, however her body is covered in various scars and stitched up areas. Where her left eye would be, is instead a large black hole that almost appears abyssal. Her mouth is lined with razor sharp almost cartoonish teeth(though this is more her doing than anything.) and her mouth appears to be sown shut, though the stitching is flexible and allows full mouth movement. Much like her actual appearance, Ophelia tends to manipulate or change her appearance on a daily basis. Though her ideal clothing style is a pair of tattered jeans, a torn up t-shirt and jacket and a pair of sneakers or boots. Ophelia will also ditch her t-shit in favor of a bikini top just for the hell of it, since she can’t really get hot or cold. The young spectral woman has sometimes been spotted also donning a magician’s outfit. |
The Legacy |
Personality: Ironically Ophelia is in every sense of the word a free spirit. She marches to the beat of her own drum and is extremely lively despite literally being dead. Again contradictory to her very being, Ophelia loves being the life of the party. She’s a social animal and often seeks out or initiate conversations with people just for the hell of it. Stemming from the events of her traumatic transformation, Ophelia cannot stand silence. Ophelia loves meeting new people, especially the ones that are willing to look past her condition. One thing that Ophelia truly enjoys from meeting and speaking with people, isn’t such much the thrill, but more the connections and emotions experienced from these types of encounters. Ophelia is charming, charismatic, energetic, and overly compassionate. She will stick up for the little guy and do whatever she can to be there for her friends or those in need of moral support. Much like her appearance, Ophelia’s very personality tends to be a loose amalgamation of varying personality traits. One minute Ophelia could be focused and motivated, and the next she could be an outright lunatic(in a comical sense). Again playing into her overall social nature, Ophelia loves lifting peoples’ spirits, and to her the best way to do that is to make them all laugh. To that end, she often plays practical jokes on others, makes wisecracks and often even pokes fun at the fact that she’s pretty much dead, despite how traumatic the experience was. Ophelia tends to always had a positive outlook on things and tries to always see the good, even in the darkest shades of bad. History: Ophelia’s childhood and life leading up to her tragic demise was pretty average at best. Her father was a well respected and revered police chief and her mother worked as a researcher at a pharmaceutical company. Ophelia was their only child so they did their best to raise her proper. Ophelia learned from an early age that she was special, she had discovered that she could seemingly heal from any injury she sustained. Her friends thought it was the coolest thing ever, but others called her a freak and often picked and teased the poor girl all throughout elementary school and well into high school. She did her best to keep her ability hidden from others but eventually she’d have the occasional slip and would have to deal with the scrutiny of being a metahuman all over again. This eventually changed when the girl entered college. It was during Ophelia’s time in college that her life seemed to take a turn for the worse. Unbeknownst to her, a sinister figure had an eye on the girl for a while now. Because Ophelia had to take several busses and walk a good distance, she was an easy target for the mad Sionas Lockhart, who had been snatching people off the streets and conducting nefarious experiments on them. Ophelia had caught his attention because of her gift, as metahumans seemed to have a higher survival rate than the normal people he kidnapped. After several minor successful experiments, Sionas had set his sights on a much grander plan. He would use the girl to push the limits of human mortality. One day while waiting for one of her many busses, Sionas approached the girl and whisked her away. The two vanished without a trace and the investigation into her disappearance yielded no results. Every day that Ophelia spent in captivity was a day where her body and powers were pushed to their absolute limits. Sionas poked, prodded, and cut his way through the young girls body in an effort to see just how much her body could handle before he decided to move on to more extreme measures. The pain and torment suffered at the hands of the deranged psychopath left their mark on Ophelia both physically and mentally. After several months as Sionas’ prisoner, the fateful day came when the psychotic scientist decided to push his experiments on Ophelia to the next level. He had gone through phases of increasing the potency of her power and lowering its effectiveness. Each round of initial testing proved to actually work as each time he lowered her ability to heal wounds, it would come back even stronger and faster. This time rather than turning her power on and off, he would subject the young woman to a series of extremes, each increasing with intensity. Sionas continued to be impressed with the results he was seeing from the girl’s impressive ability, so much so that he ignored her pleas for him to stop and proceeded to the final stage of the experiment. The last experiment Sionas had in mind to unlock Ophelia’s true potential, and the key to immortality, involved placing her in a ring like contraption. Ophelia would be looked into the ring via several ports along the inside of the ring that would hold her arms and legs. With the flick of a switch Sionas would start up the machine. The ungodly whirling noise the machine made as it revved to life sent the young woman over the edge. This was it, this was her final moment and she could feel it. Once the machine was fully charged Sionas slammed his hand down on a button that activated the machine. It sent an astronomical amount of energy surging through Ophelia’s body and in a brilliant flash of light her whole body was consumed and vaporized, killing her instantly. Sionas being as far gone as he had become, was far more upset at his experiment failing than he was with taking the young woman’s life. A few days later Sionas packed up shop and disappeared. The secret lab where the experiments had taken place continued to suffer from strange anomalies for several weeks following Sionas’ departure. Eventually these anomalies gave way to Ophelia reappearing in the abandoned lab. She had no way of knowing what had happened to her, or how long she had been ‘dead’. In the time between her death and revival, all she had known was absolute darkness. A cold, soundless abyss had been her home while her spirit regained strength, before finally rejecting her back into the real world. It didn’t take long for Ophelia to realize what had happened to her, and the experiment logs Sionas had left behind were just evidence to further confirm her fears. Filled with anger and a lust for vengeance, Ophelia tore the lab apart looking for any traces of Sionas’ whereabouts. Eventually all of Ophelia’s digging proved useful in providing a location to a hidden base in Canada that Sionas could have gone to. Upon stepping out of the lab, and after roaming the streets for several minutes, she found the many of the people she passed by couldn’t help but be frightened or weirded out by her appearance. She eventually made her way to Sionas’ base in Canada only to find that he was no longer there, and inhabiting the space now, was a shy little mute. The two talked for a while and to Ophelia’s shock, she found out Sionas had actually cared for this young girl, he had shown her a kindness that he did not show Ophelia. Despite being filled with anger towards what had happened to her, she couldn’t help but let the feeling go when she saw a picture of Nu and Sionas standing next to one another. They looked like a normal father daughter duo, and the little mute seemed to almost idolize the man. Rather than shatter the girls image of Sionas, Ophelia indulged her vision of him instead. The ghost girl eventually decided to give up on her crusade and instead moved in with Nu, to keep the young mute company. |
The Powers and Weaknesses |
Powers Power 1: Don’t you know what invulnerable means?- Because of Ophelia’s state of being and the fact that her body is non-corporeal, She is unable to be harmed by any physical means. This in turn means that the spectral girl is completely immune to any physical means of harm such as ballistics, melee weapons, and physical elements such as earth, metal, ice, fire and the like. Power 2: Power of the mind.- Through the life altering experience and her transition from the living to the dead, Ophelia has developed a very powerful form of telekinesis. Through this telekinesis, Ophelia is able to interact with the physical world around her in various ways. This includes the ability to move objects with her mind, as well as telekinetically buffer her body in order to actually interact with things. This buffer allows her to actually be able to have physical contact with objects and people around her. Power 3: You wanna see something really cool?- Much like her invulnerability, Ophelia’s non-corporeal form allows her to manipulate and adjust her body on the fly. Though she primarily uses this to change her appearance every so often, she also uses this ability in conjunction with her telekinesis to form her limbs into weapons. These blade-like appendages when buffered by her telekinesis are capable of slicing clean through reinforced steel with relative ease. Power 4: I’m a ghost silly. Of course I can turn invisible.- Because Ophelia is dead, her ghost like body has the ability to turn invisible with just a single though. While invisible Ophelia is completely invisible and unable to be seen by the naked eye. Power 5: Hey what’s going on in here?- Ophelia’s body is able to phase through solid objects as will. This has nothing to do with her shifting her density, instead it is done through her actual formless body, since there is no mass to her, she is able to easily pass through solid objects. Power 6: It sure is cramped in here.- A side effect power of Ophelia’s ability to phase through objects, is the ability to possess certain objects and people (pc permission required.) If Ophelia manages to possess a person she doesn’t actually take control of them, instead she sort of piggy backs on them and becomes an annoying voice in their head. Weakness(es) Weakness 1: Maybe I should look up the definition myself- Despite her impressive claim to being invulnerable to any and all physical means of damage, Ophelia is prone to being harmed by none physical attacks. This means Ophelia is able to be harmed by attacks and abilities that involve any sort of energy, electricity, and magic. If a weapon or physical object is also infused with any of these elements they can inflict harm on her as well. Weakness 2: Oh, so you can see me!- Even with Ophelia’s ability to become completely invisible to the naked eye, she can still be seen by other means such as thermal and infrared goggles. Ophelia can also be seen by people with heightened senses and if someone has a means of viewing ultraviolet radiation they can see her as well. Another drawback to Ophelia’s invisibility is that any little sound she makes can be heard, which could be used to determine her location. Weakness 3: No touchy!- While Ophelia is invisible she is unable to interact with the world around her. She can’t use her telekinesis either. Weakness 4: Who would have thought that ghosts could get cold.- Though Ophelia feels literally nothing in terms of hot or cold, extremely low temperatures will make it so that the spectral girl cannot use her ability to phase or turn invisible. Weakness 5: It’s so hard to concentrate with all this damn noise.- If Ophelia is exposed to any high pitched or loud noises it affects her ability to hold her form. In the event that this happens she will become stunned and somewhat dazed. Her body will appear to fade in and out of existence and will appear as though its glitching out. Weakness 6: You can do the whole mind thing to?- Ophelia’s ability to possess a person is rendered null against those with any mind controlling abilities or telekinesis. RP Mechanics RP Mechanic(s): Immortality- Since Ophelia is already dead, she cannot die, it’s impossible to kill her. Instead there are several things that can happen in the event that Ophelia finds herself in harm’s way. The first of these scenarios is that the pain overwhelms her and causes her to black out for an extended period of time. The other scenario occurs in the event that a very powerful ability that can harm her is used. If this happens her entire being with vanish from existence and she will literally poof and vanish. If scenario two occurs then Ophelia will remain out of commission for an extended period of time before she can pull herself back together. Ageless- Since Ophelia is dead, she no longer ages, and will always appear to be the same age she was when she met her untimely demise. Dead inside- Another side effect of being dead, is that Ophelia no longer has the need to eat or hydrate herself to survive. She also feels no pain(unless hit by an ability that can harm her), and doesn’t get hot or cold, hence why she for the most part floats around in a tank top or bikini top.
