The Legacy

Personality:
Miles has a very bold and friendly personality. Whether he is Obsidian Lad or not he is always incredibly up front and confident to what can be an arrogant extent. This often lands Miles in situations that he may be considered under-qualified to be a part of but even when faced with terrible odds, he never gives up. He is very serious when in combat and doesn't take kindly to others telling him what to do, especially not other heroes. In essence, he is your basic cocky teenager who thinks he can take on the world.

History:
Obsessed with metas from a young age, Miles always longed to be special and have some sort of powers. Unfortunately for him, he was born to a standard middle class family in a small town in the Midwest. Nevertheless, Miles was still determined to make his mark in the world, meta or not. Miles started training to learn how to fight from someone who he didn't realize was a meta. He trained with this man from the ages of 10 to 17 and became decently versed in basic hand to hand street combat. He also took up freerunning and gymnastics, soon familiarizing himself with some of the more complicated mortal acrobatic maneuvers .

His parents, not quite taking him seriously eventually demanded Miles start to think about his future but to there surprise, Miles was committed to being a hero. At 17, he graduated high school a year early and moved out, hitchhiking to the nearest major city ready to do some good in the world. Soon realizing that crime fighting is not a very lavish career, he got a part time job filing papers at an office, barely making enough to cover his shared apartment. Luckily, his parents keep in touch often and send him little gifts and such to help him along.

Powers

Power 1:
Hand to Hand Combat: While not a master by any means, Miles has trained in "advanced" hand to hand combat for seven years meaning he can definitely hold his own in a street fight.
Power 2:
Parkour: Miles is a decently experienced freerunner and has no trouble climbing up and around urban landscapes.
Weakness(es)

Weakness 1:
Mortal: Miles is completely mortal, no special powers, no anything. He has the durability of an average human. This means what can be considered basic powers of other metas can easily prove very lethal for Obsidian Lad.
Weakness 2:
Arrogant: Miles constantly overestimates himself, often putting himself in more danger than he realizes. This proves for some interesting/lethal situations.

Obsidian Lad is quite honestly probably considered "sidekick material" by most other heroes. However, he does not let his lack of powers stop him from fighting the good fight.
