Monsters don't retire (Dusker) - Page 2 Empty Re: Monsters don't retire (Dusker)

Post by The Nekromonga August 4th 2016, 8:53 pm

When Tyler finally managed to pry open the suit, the shriveled, bald old man inside began gasping. "AAaahh! Aaaahh! What have you done?! Close it! close it!" He spun around furiously, then using his multi-jointed robot arm to reach Tyler from an unexpected angle, while trying to seal himself up again.

Diana returned from the dojo carrying her sword, sprinting as quickly as she could to rejoin the fight. Sensei Hasashi meanwhile, was in no real hurry, watching his apprentice battle a mech suit more amusing than worrying. "Hahahaha! That's it Tyler-san! Strike his weaknesses!" He let out a hearty laugh, as he strolled through his garden to the fight.

Monsters don't retire (Dusker) - Page 2 Empty Re: Monsters don't retire (Dusker)

Post by Dusker August 4th 2016, 9:54 pm

As the old guy jumped out the suit Tyler jumped back. "AAaahh! Aaaahh! What have you done?! Close it! close it!" the man screamed before attacking Tyler unexpectedly. Tyler was able to dodge the attack but was still pushed back a good 10 feet away from the guy. After he gained traction again he tackled the guy to the ground before dodging away from another swing.

'Come on Tyler, look for his weak point...' he told himself as he assessed his enemy once again. He then found his targets weakness, the metal arm. You see the metal are also had the same tubes that the giant mech's had so Tyler thought if he snapped the ones on his arm then it would break.

"Alright let's tango!" he said as he beckoned the old man over. He ran at Tyler with speed that was astounding for a man his age. As he grew closer Tyler jumped over the guy and kicked him to the floor. As he did this he pulled at the tube until it snapped. As he done this the guys metal arm went limp.

He then go the guy into a submission hold "Who are you and what do you want with Hasashi!" he asked as he started to apply more force to the hold. He then looked up for a second to see Diana and Hasashi standing there. He looked at Diana and smiled before talking to Hasashi "Who is this guy?" he asked...

As Tyler presumably reaches the old man's arm and pry him out of his mini-mecha suit, it was becoming apparent he was wired into it. When Tyler messed with the tubes, a few of the tubes and cables snapped, causing the old man inside to go into cardiac arrest. "I die... for justice..." He groaned, as his frail old body finally gave out and hung out of his mecha, still connected from the waist down.

"...Ooooh gross... you killed him!" Diana said, looking at the deceased old man hanging from the mecha. The large mecha frame powered down and stood in place.

"...I know who this is. This is one of the Adjudicators. An old group of fanatics... and mercenaries. Deluded fools." Hasashi approached the dead judge, and spat in the dead old guy's face.

"This one was already pretty old when I started being the Viper King. Seems they really don't believe in retirement."

When he heard the guys life slowly drain out of him Tyler sighed "Oh god." and stood back up. Then Diana stated the obvious by saying
"...Ooooh gross... you killed him!"

He then looked up to her and said "Well it clear that he was on his death bed anyway." he stated before Hasashi explained what he was.

"What's with all this Viper king stuff? It's all so stupid!" He complained as he looked at the dead guy at his feet. "What are we gonna do know?" he asked as he looked at the two of them. 'I better no get involved with all this Viper king shit!' he thought as he examined the mech suit.

Monsters don't retire (Dusker) - Page 2 Empty Re: Monsters don't retire (Dusker)

Post by The Nekromonga August 5th 2016, 9:21 pm

When he decided to open his pie hole and badmouth Hasashi, the old man shot Tyler a murderous glance but said nothing. His murderous intent was usually enough.

"He did mention something about Hotaru." Diana poked the mecha a few times, only to end up disturbing the dead judge's corpse, making it twitch. Diana looks away. "Said something about a subpoena."

"That is their modus. They send this enforcer to impleement the Subpoena. We'll have to track him from where he came. We will have to rescue my careless granddaughter. Hai! Tyler-san, Diana-kun. Suit up. We will have revenge this night..."

Just when everyone thought it was over... the mecha came back to life. In a complete dick move, the Mecha's one good arm shot out and nailed Hasashi in the back, causing the old man to scream in pain.

"SENSEI!" Diana, who was caught offguard, could only watch as the mecha sucker punched their master. In retaliation, she drew her sword and in one clean cut, severed the robot's arm at the elbow, getting oil and parts all over the grass. The robot was still very much functional though, and quickly got to its feet to continue the fight. All the while the body of the dead judge was swinging from its exposed torso. So grimdark.

"Why would they want your grandaughter?" Tyler asked himself before Hasashi explained what they where gonna do.

"That is their modus. They send this enforcer to impleement the Subpoena. We'll have to track him from where he came. We will have to rescue my careless granddaughter. Hai! Tyler-san, Diana-kun. Suit up. We will have revenge this night..." Hasashi said before the giant mech that Tyler was fighting before stood up.

The giant judge the punched Hasashi in the back which made him go flying across the garden. The scream that came out of his body was enough to haunt Tyler's dreams.

"Master!" Tyler said as he ran over to his master and let Diana deal with it." Hikari picked him up and put his hand on his chest, he wasn't dead. "Hasashi! Hasashi! Come on damit!" Tyler growled before his emotions started to overwhelm him. He became silent and walked up to the mech and started to draw its attention.

As the mech attacked Tyler swerved around the mech and sat on the top of where the head was only moments before. He then started to pull out all the wires from inside of the mech and started to cut them so that he would be able to take it down.

Monsters don't retire (Dusker) - Page 2 Empty Re: Monsters don't retire (Dusker)

Post by The Nekromonga August 9th 2016, 7:31 pm

With Dusker ontop of the mecha, its combat AI's attention was focused on trying to remove him from doing any more damage. Difficult, given it had only one arm, but the stump that Diana had sliced had exposed live wires and various hydraulic fluids spewing out, posing a danger to Dusker.

With Tyler's distraction, Diana was able to line up a clean Iaijutsu strike, demonstrating her swordsmanship. Wordlessly, She ends up on the other side of the mecha in the blink of an eye. By the time she puts the sword back into its sheath, the mecha collapsed, both legs sliced cleanly at the knees.

The mecha, reduced to a quadraplegic, was now a limbless mass of metal lying on the ground, struggling with futility to get back up. It made horrific electronic grinding noises, as it the machine was in pain. It posed no more threat, but, what kind of twisted mind would build a machine that sounded so lifelike.

"It's done." Diana said, moving to assist the now motionless Hasashi.

As the mech fell Tyler quickly back flipped of it and landed perfectly. He then proceeded to walk over to Dina and asked "So what should we do now?" as he stood on the robots "head" with immense pressure until it cracked.

He looked down at his master and checked his pulses once more. "He's not dead thankfully but he's gonna need assistance if we want to keep him that way." he explained before picking his master up and carrying him back into his dojo.

Once inside the dojo he placed his master down on the mats. "I'm gonna get a friend of mine to come over and try to help him out..." he said with a worried expression as he walked over to his bag and picked up his phone.

He went into his contacts and rung up the one person he could think of at the moment, Dr. Sandra smith. he called her up and got answer quickly. "Dr. Smiths recovery service how may I help you?" a voice said over the phone. "Yeah doc, its Dusker, I need you at (location of the dojo) ASAP okay?" he explained as he heard light bickering in the background. "I'll be on my way hun." Smith said before abruptly hanging up.

"She's coming over as we speak." Tyler stated as he looked down at the old guy. "Hasashi what have you gotten yourself into this time..." he mumbled.

Monsters don't retire (Dusker) - Page 2 Empty Re: Monsters don't retire (Dusker)

The old man was sweating heavily, gasping rapidly. While he still had that iron grip that dug into Tyler's arm, he could not move his legs. The mech's blow rendered the old man a paraplegic... considering it could smash rocks, Hasashi was a tough old snake. "...Dark Judges... they must have abducted Hotaru...Aaargh..." He still reeled from the pain of the blow.

Diana brought Hasashi tea to calm himself. He drank, and his breathing slowed slightly. "Diana, fetch Kana's sword for Tyler."

Diana nodded. "Sure." She went to one of the swords on display, behind a feminine ninja armor. The blade itself was more elegant in design than others, given the previous owner's own personality.

"These dark judges... they must have a grudge against you then? To go after your descendant like this..." Diana asked with great worry.

"Hai, hai. I killed many of them, and now they come for my family. Now I cannot fight... but I will not ask you to fight my battles for me. I will... find Hotaru myself."

"I won't fight for revenge...But if they're a menace, I'm bound as a hero to bring them to justice, master." Diana said firmly.

"Pah. Justice. No such thing." He said, pessimistic as ever.

"Tyler-san. It is time you received my parting gift for you. This-" He held up the katana to Tyler, with both hands. "-Once belonged to an... old friend... of mine, Kana. She had powers like yours, and she would have made a better master than I, if she was alive. Her blade is yours now."

Monsters don't retire (Dusker) - Page 2 Empty Re: Monsters don't retire (Dusker)

Post by Dusker August 10th 2016, 5:40 am

When Hasashi told Diana to get him a sword Tyler looked at him in confusion. 'Why is he giving me a sword? He told me that I would have to buy my own.' he asked himself before he started tapping his foot in anger.

Then Diana started to go on about all that justice crap and Tyler just rolled his eyes. "This should be a matter that is filed by revenge." Tyler added to Hasashi reply to her.

Then Diana passed Hasashi the katana and he then in turn held it up to Tyler. The blade was  elegant in design with a beautiful black blade that was completely undamaged, making it look like it had just been forged. The handle had white flowing cloth coming from the grip that flowed in the wind.

Hasashi then started to speak. "Tyler-san. It is time you received my parting gift for you. This Once belonged to an... old friend... of mine, Kana. She had powers like yours, and she would have made a better master than I, if she was alive. Her blade is yours now."

Tyler lifted the katana out of his  hands and started to look down the blade. He then asked with a smile on his face "What should I call it?" he then started to strike at the air with the sword, discovering that it was quite light.

Remembering that the previous owner had similar powers to his he asked "Does it have any special abilities?" whilst putting the blade back into the scabbard.

"Kage Dokan... Harnesses... harnessed... Kana's shadow power, extending her reach considerably." Hasashi started explaining, propping himself into a more comfortable position.

"At her peak, Kana could even bring to life her own shadow and... ah, but I have said too much... forget what I said." Hasashi said, but with sudden regret at doing so.

Diana frowned at the take-back. Hasashi was doing that on purpose. "Damn... Sensei, I know what you're trying to do!" She said in frustration, but Hasashi had already let it slip, and kept his silence.
"Tyler... you know Hasashi doesn't mind letting his apprentices learn techniques that get them killed. You don't have to take the sword... but it's your choice." Diana warned her fellow apprentice.

Monsters don't retire (Dusker) - Page 2 Empty Re: Monsters don't retire (Dusker)

"Kage Dokan is it? so I'm guessing that this will have the same effect on me..." he mumbled as he stood in one of the dark corners of the room and made a simple ball construct. he then pressed the construct in to the handle. As he did so the black smoke that came out of his constructs started to burst out of the blade, creating a construct along it.

"Hold on a second..." he said as he stepped into the light. "What!?" he said in awe, the construct was still there. "That's sick!" he exclaimed as he waved the sword about, the smoke wafting around as he did so.

Then Hasashi started to talk about a hidden technique of the blade. Apparently i he was able to control is power better he would be able to manifest his shadow into a living being and do something else, Hasashi stopped before he could hear the rest.

Diana started to speak. She started to go on about how Hasashi has gave other apprentices weapons like that before and they haven't been able to use them, which resulted in their demise. Tyler looked at her with a puzzled expression "Do you think I'm some kind of rookie or something? I've been training with Hasashi for 3 years now. Yeah, I've seen him give people weapons of great power and then watched them get themselves killed but they all have one thing in common, they got them to early." he explained.

He turned to Hasashi "Continue talking about this living shadow." he said with burning determination, he was filled with it at this point.

"Okaaaay. your funeral." Diana dismissed Tyler's recklessness, though in a way he was brave to ask for it.

Hasashi reached down and opened up a loose board in the dojo floor. His expression was that of grim satisfaction, that look he gets when an apprentice willingly takes on the next level. He fetches a small box, slightly smaller than a shoebox, made of a dark wood, covered in enchanted seals.

"...Tonight, by yourself, open this box in the shadows. The answers you seek are within." Hasashi said, in that 'you said so' tone. Diana couldn't help but pick up her own weapon. "Diana, as to your training. You have another instructor- Hotaru will help you complete. I cannot do it."

Diana was silent for quite awhile before answering.
" 'Taru is a friend. I'll do this for her then."

(cut to evening, Tyler's place)

Monsters don't retire (Dusker) - Page 2 Empty Re: Monsters don't retire (Dusker)

Post by Dusker August 11th 2016, 3:58 am

When Hasashi started to remove the floor board and pull out the black box his expression grew into a grin. then Hasashi started explaining what he had to do. he was to sit at home in the shadows and open the box then wait to see the result.

"I understand master." he said with a bow before Dr. Smith walked in. "what seems to be the problem?" she asked as she opened her briefcase, revealing all her equipment.

"He's been hit bad." he explained as he stared at the scabbard sword in his hand. "I'll use this power to avenge what they did to you." he stated with a burning passion in his eyes before walking out of his dojo.

Tyler then sat in his apartment after he had finished making a harness for the sword with the black box in hand. He stared at the box whilst resting the sword on the his lap. "it's eight and I've turned my lights off, time to open this then." he told himself before sliding the box open slowly.

"what the hell!?" he exclaimed when he saw what was inside. "Why is it empty?" he asked himself in disbelief before throwing the box back on his counter.

"I can't believe he did that!" he growled as he grabbed a breakfast bar off a shelf and started to open it.

As he ate the breakfast bar something started to seep out of the box and made its way behind Tyler. As it did this it took the shape of a woman before standing in front of him. "Who are you?" the figure asked in a feminine voice.

Tyler just looked at the phantom in disbelief before dropping the breakfast bar. "T-Tyler Wolfee." he stuttered. "Are you the new wielder of the Kage Dokan?" the figure asked as it pointed to the sword on his couch. "Yes." he answered as he started to calm slightly. 'This must be the shadow of that kana chick!' he deduced.

"Will you use me?" the phantom asked as it held out its black hand to Tyler. Tyler hesitated before placing his hand on the phantoms "if it helps me avenge my master then yes." he said with a smirk.

"Very well..." the phantom said as it then turned into a mirror image of himself and started to dawn his voice. "Where shall we start..?" it asked as it passed Tyler the Dokan. "Oh I know." he said as he slammed the scabbard onto the katana.
