The Legacy

Personality: A kid that doesn't like to be felt sorry for, or even comforted for that matter. Maybe it's pride, or maybe it's because he never had somebody to do that for him and just feels like comforting himself. Either way, don't mention his hardship or what little sadness breaks free from the wall of happiness he puts up. It may just put him in one of his bad moods......

Depending on when you catch him, he could be joyful or in one of his mean spirited modes. He isn't usually rude or mean, but at certain times that's just how he acts. However, after the episode he will make it very clear he is sorry, especelly if his friends are the ones being affected. All of his emotions and actions seem to follow this contrasting, unpredictable pattern, but in the end he is a sweet and playful young man that just wants to be a kid.

Even though he is a child, and one that likes to laugh at others' expense at that, he can go into a mature mindset when needed. It is actually surprising how quickly he can just start acting like an adult. One minute he might want to play hungry hungry hippos and the next he might want to do some advanced calculus, for example.

History: Xavier Winters was born into conflict. A war waged in the Warden realm, or rather, a manhunt. For the first time ever, an Elder had lost control to their dark, Handler personality. This Elder, Amor, The Warden of Love, became obsessive, controlling, and highly dangerous. He broke every forbidden rule he could, twisting his duties and attempting to purge his own underlings. He would have said he was fighting for his right to love who he wished, but the other Wardens didn't see it that way—at least, all but one didn't.

Aurelius, the Warden of Will, and one of the most disobedient of his kind, had fallen in love with Amor, and in subtle ways assisted him, even after that lead to the destruction of two of their own. Their union produced a child—Xerxes—who they sent to an orphanage in the human realm just before the final confrontation with the combined forces of all the Elders. The two were defeated, with Amor being restored to his normal personality and Aurelius being severely punished. By necessity, they were restored to their previous duties, but that didn't mean the others did not resent them for the conflict, or that that the Elders wouldn't hunt down their child, who they saw as an abomination.

Not knowing any of this, Xerxes grew up as a mostly unseen and unheard child. There was little love in the orphanage, and little that made him happy. He was treated cruelly so often that eventually, he had an outburst. He didn't know what happened, but when his tantrum settled, the orphanage was gone, along with all the caretakers and all his friends.

Xerxes has since been a street urgent in LA, getting by how he can and searching for information on where he came from. Along the way, he's put a stop to crime in the area and evaded many encounters with Wardens, who all seem intent on killing him.

The Powers and Weaknesses

Powers

Intellect: Though naive, Xavier is incredibly intelligent. He could make even scientists look like fools in conversation because of his raw knowledge. The source of this is not known, as he doesn't seem to actually study for it, but he has it none the less.

Balance: Most of Xavier's abilities have two sides in direct contrast to each other. Using a power from one side earns him a 'point' toward that side, making him unbalanced unless he then uses one from the other side to move back. For example, he starts at 0, which is balanced, then uses his Pain multiplying ability. This brings him down to -1, so to get back the balance he must then use a power like his Pain removal to get back to 0. When balanced Xavier has immovability (Can only be moved by his will), true sight (Seeing through illusions and false realities), and projects an aura of stability and calmness around him (Permission based rp mech) (2).

Weaknesses

Physically Human: Despite his powers, Xavier is normally physically human. This makes him as vulnerable as any twelve year old.

Naive: Xavier is just a child, not even a quarter as old as he looks. He has a dangerous lack of experience that can definitely get him into trouble at times.

Fire: The mystical energy that forms Xavier's toughness shield can be instantly cut through with fire.

Low Danger: A low but sufficient amount of danger can reduce Xavier's danger based evasion to the point where he can be hit rather easily.

Phasing: The barriers Xavier makes with his Access Denied ability are still physical in nature, so can be bypassed with phasing or other powers of that nature.

Power Limits: If Xavier ever reaches -3 or +3 on his balance scale, he will lose his powers for three posts, at which point the scale will reset at 0.

Wishes: If a favor of sufficient quality is done for Xavier (Saving his life, ect), he will give the person who did it three wishes. He must grant these things as long as they are within his power, the only exceptions are murder, suicide, and more wishes.

Don't Talk About Her: Any mention of Xavier's mother, especelly comments regarding her suicide, can send Xavier off the rails.

Original Item: If the original item of something Xavier creates touches it, it will shatter and fade away.
