Hello - and possibly help?

Hi there, I'm Ignis, I've been roleplaying for about 20 years now (I'm 24, I have geeky parents) and I had a wave of nostalgia for an old superhero forum I was on so I decided to find one to play on, thought you guys looked interesting so I figured why not.

The first character I'm looking to make is actually based on the main character of a book I'm writing, adapted to fit your system of course. I've always felt that by playing as a character I'm writing it helps me get a bit more into their head, find their motivations easier and generally makes writing them a bit more fun.

So the character's powers revolve around fire, cause who doesn't love a bit of fire now and then. In my book he's what I call an "Aspect", what that means is that fire is his lifeblood. He can create and control it, he can absorb it and by doing so heal wounds (does not work by re-absorbing fire he created of course; unless he created a small flame to ignite a fuel source, then fed on the new flames, if you follow my meaning). Consumption of fire also halts his aging (and he can never get a tan) as his body thinks of these things as "damage" in the strictest sense.

The part I'd like help with is coming up with suitable weaknesses to fit your system, so far the ideas I have include but are not limited to; water (obviously) in that if someone were to use water powers on him that were evenly matched with him, they would win, he would have to overpower them significantly in order to come out on top. Low oxygen environments, he needs to breathe, he is by and large just a very fit human being, if something would instantly kill a human being, it'll kill him. The cold, heat = energy, by cooling something down you take energy from it, he's more susceptible to the cold than the average human being, he can counter this through proper preparation, however he is more likely to develop hypothermia and the like than the next person.

How does my concept sound? Do you have any suggestions you think might help make it a more well rounded idea?

Thanks for the speedy response I will indeed be having some psychological issues coming up, partly to do with the fact that he's older than he looks, has done the hero thing and is generally quite tired and kinda broken. He wants a quiet life but he seems cursed to keep getting involved in things that ruin that.

He doesn't have pyromania no, he's kind of come to view fire as his partner if that makes sense, it's something that's always there and always hungry and he feels like he has to be the voice of reason at times, reigning it in.

That should be pretty fun haha, my guy is also very long lived so maybe we could do something where their paths have crossed but they've not known it before or something? My guy has stayed very low key, he just wants to be left alone but he doesn't often get his wish
