Do you wanna rob a bank? (Prodigy Recruitment)

Blake would see a bright light in front of his face as he turned he saw Travis Masters. The man who operated on Blake for his back surgery. This man was an important part of Blake's life because of what he intended to do for the young man who wanted nothing more than the ability to walk like everyone else. He was telling Blake to put his mask back on so he would be asleep for the surgery. He didn't remember this but for some reason it felt so real. The room filled with smoke as Blake awoke and he was outside with Abby. "Where is she?" said Blake who realized Danny wasn't with them.

Dashing back towards in the bank Blake realized he didn't save the day as intended. He saw nothing but smoke in the bank as he zoomed around looking for Danny but what he didn't realize was the smoke was clearing as he breezed by. It was then he saw Danny who was struggling to keep the bank from falling in on her. Blake took one deep breath as he knew if he messed this up they were both death. With what little of his suit that was still intact Blake dashed towards Danny grabbing her while stopping his step and pushing his feet back towards the direction he came escaping the caving area getting out the bank. Once outside Blake fell to the ground catching his breath.

The pillar holding up the staircase fell. Danny could not see the collapse, but the sound could be nothing else. The small steps Danny kept taking back her against a pillar. No good. Looking back would take too much of her attention. A really bad place to be in when it all came down to it. But, so was a building in the process of becoming a pile of rubble. Danny coughed as the smoke began to enter her lungs. As another section of the floor collapsed, Danny felt herself moving. Quickly. The light broke from a reflective light placed in the blazing bank's terrace.

Someone pulled her out, and Danny could take a guess at who would do it so quickly. "Than-" The support Danny lent to the bank began to collapse as its source moved outside. Once the barriers collapsed, so did the bank. "Oh crap!" Danny quickly put up a large wall to block the debris and smoke from washing over them like tsunami. Air whipping through the area still threatened to carry the dangerous substance through the neighborhood. The large wall Danny erected would slowly descend to cover the entire foundation of the bank, keeping the debris covered and the populace from anymore collateral damage. "Thanks, but what the hell part of four bombs, big bomb, did you not get? I said get them to the sea."

Danny breathed a big sigh of disappointment, but it stood to be interpreted whether her disappointment was in Blake or in herself for what she got ready to do. "You're going to need to get better with team work if you're going to make it in Prodigy. And you need Prodigy, so don't even say anything like 'I work on my own' or 'I don't know what that is'. You know what it is, and you're in it." Danny would reach out her hand to shake Blake's hand, welcoming him to the team.

"Sorry" said Blake as he rubbed the back of his head. His costume nearly gone entirely. His face was still covered and that is all that mattered. He really didn't think the blowback from the bomb was going to be that large which is why he hawked it in the sky. "Maybe I can take you guys out for some fun in the city you know.. To apologize for this whole mess today?" joked Blake as he began to stand up and dust his legs and arms off. His suit was in shreds. "Crap, How am I gonna get another one of these" said Blake as he looked at what was left.

Danny would go on to say that Blake needed to work on teamwork if he wanted this membership in Prodigy to wrk which caused Blake to open his eyes even more. He didn't know he was joining Prodigy. He knew of them vaguely but not enough to really care. He didn't even want powers but he had them now and unless Masters could remove them he was stuck with them. He shook Dannys hand before looking around half naked. "Soo..... What now? I just go home or am I suppose to go somewhere with you and get some clothes?" joked Blake who was half serious.

The devastation of the surrounding area drew in every camera crew, which in turn drew in more police to try and curtail every grouping of people willing to carry the standard of 'Action Team'. "This is about to get crazy. And you're losing clothing pretty fast." Blake offered Abby and Danny a day on the town, and while it sounded nice, both of them just narrowly escaped death a few times. "I'll take a rain check on that. Maybe when you have more clothes on." Danny asked a police officer nearby for a pen and paper and began to jot something down. "Call this number to get a new suit. Her name is Mitsuko and she does wonders. Her shoppe is in New York. You'll need to come to California to meet the rest of the team, then you can run anywhere your heart desires. Just call this number"

Without the information on how good of a public speaker Blake was, or what he would tell a television crew, Danny took him by the wrist and pulled him away from the vultures in the press corp and towards a turquoise staircase she created for them to get out without dealing with interviews. "By the way, I won't tell anyone you almost leveled a city block if you don't tell anyone you found me tied up in a vault." An earnest request to help pass the time as the stairs took the trio to a back alley where they could disappear from watchful eyes. "After getting captured by Alpha Dick, I would not want any more attention coming from that field."

"It sorta comes with the job." Abby watched as the stairs gave way as her foot touched the ground. Danny kept dissipating the stairs as they went to prevent any reporters from following, falling, and then suing Danny or Prodigy. A good enough decision from a day marred with bad decisions. "Most of what we do ends less than spectacularly."

Danny turned to try and see where the throngs of press congregated. Still wearing her battle suit, Danny knew she would draw attention as soon as she stepped out. "We kept the Choker from blowing up New York. Good day."

"Funny. A good day for me does not involve bombs at all."
