The Legacy

Personality: A naturally reserved and introverted person, Jethro doesn't socialize or express himself much, even though he is highly intelligent and has much to share. He normally chooses to be polite and dry with people, showing minimal emotion and keeping his opinion to himself until it's needed or requested for. But on the inside he is a computer analyzing everything, trying to figure out a person's personality and attitude while he deals with them, so he has more of an advantage in a social or physical confrontation. He tries to avoid physical conflict, due to the fact that he is not as physically fit as others, but is aware of when it is avoidable and looks for any advantages or escape routes before the fight even begins. He is a huge bookworm and is very well learned, usually you can find him studying or learning in some way, and if not that then something else to improve himself. Lately he has become a bit sensitive and twitchy due to his recently emerging powers, not only from the voices in his head, but also because he tries to avoid the subject of his powers all together. He is a secretive person that keeps most information that he believes people don't need to himself.

History: Jethro was born in Manhattan on a rainy day, to a pair of parents who were completely normal. He was a quiet child and was dutiful all through preschool keeping to himself and excelling in his schooling. It wasn't until the 5th grade that he started to hear voices in his head, the more he aged the more he aged and the more he learned, the stronger the voices became in his head. He tried to tell his parents about them but they chalked it up to an overactive imagination and told him to not bother them about it. He decided that nobody would believe him anyway, so he started to keep this phenomenon a secret. His strange new powers continued to grow, and they even grew so strong that he was able to move tiny objects small distances. But the problem was that he could not suppress the shouts of the minds around him, and they continued to grow louder! When he started to complain and wake up screaming in the middle of the night, his parents started to put him on heavy meds. They slightly helped, but eventually they did nothing but make him delirious. Things continued to get worse until one day, when he was crossing the street to his highschool, he stopped in the middle of the street when a particularly loud voice boomed through his head, giving him a pain in his head the equivalent of a charlie horse. The voice happened to be an angry drunk driver, and he was speeding along when suddenly a kid stopped in the middle of street. The man slammed the breaks but couldn't stop himself from hitting Jethro. Even though the damage was reduced greatly thanks to the man braking, it was still extensive and he was forced to go to the hospital. The more damaging result of the accident was the trauma, the car had scared him so badly that some of his hair had turned grey. While Jethro was being carted ff to the hospital and being treated, there was one thing that completely absorbed his attention, one thing that made him ignore everything around him. He couldn't hear a single thing. The accident had managed to silence the voices in his head, and he wondered how it did that. When he finally returned home a few weeks later, he started to experiment with his abilities and found that he could turn the ability on and off now, and choose what minds he listened to. It seemed that the accident had triggered a switch in his brain that gave him some control over his powers. A few years later he is working at a library, continued to learn and explore his abilities in secret. By now his psychic and telekinetic powers had increased, and he had learned how to apply them more efficiently. Now he is wonderng what in the world to do with them.

Powers

You Can Hide Nothing From Me: This power requires player permission. Jethro can hear the passing thoughts of people around him, giving him insight into what they are thinking and what they are thinking about doing. If Jethro focuses on one person, he can analyze their mind and learn their histories, plans, thoughts (In better detail) and their personalities to some extent. He has trouble reading people with a higher intelligence and higher willpower.

My Secrets Are My Own: Jethro's thoughts and mind are shielded from outside influence, they cannot be altered or read unless a psychic or magic user of superior ability tries to access them.

Use The Force!: Jethro has moderate telekinetic abilities. He can control objects up to the size of a dumpster and not much heavier. He cannot affect sentient beings. He struggles to control two objects at once, let alone two large objects. He cannot read minds while controlling an object.

Weakness(es)

Darn These Frail Bones!:Jethro is a weak individual who is not very strong. His ability to take a hit is lower then most because not only does he not do much physical activity, he's also been slightly weakened from his childhood accident. He relies on his telekinesis for any heavy lifting.

Give Me *Gasp* A Second *Gasp* To Breath:His endurance is nothing to brag home about. After a small amount of physical exertion he can quickly run out of breath. And fighting or doing any physical activity will tire him out quickly. This is a result of him and his body putting more energy into developing his brain instead of his body.

MY MIND IS EXPLODING!:If Jethro's ability to turn off or suppress people's thoughts is removed (Via powers or drugs), the volume and amount of said voices can be enough to incapacitate him. And if both are large enough to a certain degree, they can be enough to kill him or put him in a coma.
