The Legacy

Personality: Laid back, casual and ready to live life to the fullest. Does whatever he wants whenever he wants with the philosophy that as long as he's not hurting anyone else he sould be free to be him. Unfortunately his love of this lifestyle made him far more laid back, yet more loosely moral about a lot of his life decisions. He tends to hold his friends close with a fierce loyalty, and while he's not superhumanly intelligent he has the common sense and street smarts.

While his view of fun and his mischef have been more than enough to turn some heads, his dedication to a life of fun and his loyalty to his friends is unquestionable. Has a quirky sense of humor but can get along with just about anyone. Often uses humor to disguise insecurity or pain.
History:
Sebastian's life for the most part was normal, he attended a normal middle school and did normal things. Well, if you don't count the regular bullying he dealt with for one reason or another. Honestly, he had no idea what the deal was but people just found him the type of guy that they wanted to ruin, so that was what people did around there. He did not like it at all, but then again not much he could do about people being massive dicks. That was just how kids were, cruel and overall unlikeable. So something came to mind as far as dealing with that, granted it was more something that he decided than anything else.

Sebastian decided to take fencing lessons, learning how to fence in order to defend himself better. Afterall, being able to poke holes in people tended to keep them from messing with you, so it made perfect sense to him in the end. So he began to attend lessons for said fencing, but the bullying itself only began to get worse. For some reason, in the end it just became too much for any teenage male to deal with really, especially for him. So you could say his middle school experience was terrible beyond all belief, because it was very terrible.

Perhaps his home life could have been better, but that was far from the case. His mother was not the most living of individuals, in fact what she did could easily be called neglect and many people would call it that. It might have been some kind of personality problem, but she seemed to not want to have too much to do with him. His dad was different, but the guy worked two jobs to support their little family, so that made it to where he did not have much time to be around this little family of his, and made things a little harder on him on the long run.

Eventually things came to a head when he found himself being brought into a fight at school, likely with someone that he did not quite like. The fight itself was kinda one sided when he thought back about it, and he ended up getting beaten up, followed by being shoved into a locker. Lockers, well they're both tight and dark, so he did not like the feeling of being confined at all. It was perhaps one of the worst feelings in the world for him, and that was when his metagene activated, whether it saved him or not is unknown. He then found himself within a strange realm of shadows, something even darker than the locker itself, but it kept him safe at the same time. Little did he know the stasis effect it had upon him, nor the time that passed within this realm. In fact the time that did pass was around thirty years, a crazy amount of time but then again the event itself was crazy.

Where he woke up was not where he went in, it was the basement of some methlab, and damn was it dark. This was his reintroduction to the world, and a strange one at that. So much had change since that incident, and that sort of left him confused considering the great time span. One thing he did find out was that since his disappearance his parents had moved to NYC, which was kind of where they died. Something about a giant ship reducing the city to a crater, which really sucked..for the city and his dad anyway. Still, he found himself indifferent to the whole thing, so instead he he found himself being dragged into the wrong crowd. Sebastian ended up doing some less than moral things, well a lot of them and that did not quite look good on him really.

Where he found himself was with one of the baddest gangs in Chicago, and when he finally had enough of it Espada tried to get out. Well, mostly because apparently they were trying to kill him and that was not good. Luckily, it appeared that he had some help and actually managed to get out of that situation, and that was how he made his first friend in this strange new world.

The Powers and Weaknesses

Powers

Shadow Strike: Espada can utilize his own shadow to strike another person, damaging them through their own shadow. Typically this damage scales for some reason upon a person, finding it harder to damage humanly durable people rather than superhumanly durable people.

I am the darkness: Espada is capable of seeing within the dark as if it were brightly lit.

Shadow jump: Espada can sink into the shadows and use them to teleport.

Weakness(es)

Light: Lights can skew his shadow, thwarting his shadow strike by throwing it off.

Hot headed: Espada is hot headed, and tends to make stupid mistakes when angry.
